《TroubleMaker (Twilight) (Editing)》Chapter 9:Karma?

It's been a couple days since the incident at Bella's birthday party. Alex went to school like regular but the Cullens did not and basically ignored her presence.
Rosalie would basically glare at her anyfltume she got and everyone else avoided her much like they were doing Bella.
Alex even had to learn what happened from the clumsy girl and it annoyed her. Alex didnt understand why they were being so cold to her and honestly she hated it.
Alex had just finished another school day being followed by her stalker and walked into the woods. Calling tot he shadows she teleported home and what she saw walking into the house made her heart break. The headmistress was here standing beside all her packed up clothes. Glancing at the Cullens she could see
them avoiding eye contact the best they could.
"Hello Alex I'm here to take you back to the orphanage" the headmistress says putting on a fake smile
Alex simply ignored her and looked at the cullens in betrayal. "I can see that" she mumbles walking twords her bags. Emment moved to help her only for Alex to glare at him. "I dont need your help" her voice was so cold and devoid of emotion that it made him flitch back.
It was clear as day that the Cullens had hurt Alex deeply. Knowing how hard it took her to trust them and notmw they were doing the very thing she was afraid of. Leaving
Females followed the headmistress out of the house and into the car. The drive was quiet. The pair had to words to exchange and Alex was fine with that. She just wanted to run away. That's what she did when things got tough, she ran and never looked back. She wanted to just dissapear.

Later that not she sat laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling. She was so done with letting others in. She knew they would eventually leave her yet she continued to get attached.
"Alex, someone is here to see you" her headmistress yelled from downstairs
Rolling her eyes she made her way downstairs glaring at anything and everything until she made it to the doorway where Bella stood. Her eyes were puffy and red indicating she was crying earlier.
It almost made her feel better knowing the Cullens let them both but then again she wont that cold."what you want" she asked
"So they left you too huh. Edward said we were nothing but pets. Play toys" she started tearing up.
It almost made Alex cry right there but she held it in. They didnt deserve her tears. "Ok and?move on the sun gonna rise tomorrow just like everyday. " alex turned to leave.
"They are your family" Bella snapped
"Were is the word that you are looking for. They were my family. But now there not so why dwell on it when there not coming back. Karma I'd a bitch and they will get what's coming to them."alex glanced back at her"best you we no longer speak either. We are not friends, never were" she added walking back upstairs just as the tears started to fall. It time to look out for number one. Everyone else can go to hell

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat!
