Serena's pov

When we yell out to King I feel his eyes land on me. But Diane takes his attention as she says that we missed him. I silently sigh in annoyance. King more or less gets on my nerves. He was always butting in on my time with Ban. But that's when Ban says that can't be King. I'm about to die of laughter. I notice King isn't around anymore. As we're walking back to the tavern I can't help but think that the little girl that we we're bringing back with us(as well as her brother) looked a lot like Elaine. When we get back to the tavern Ban has me help him in the kitchen. We set the food we made on a table in front of the kids. Captain is having to hold Hawk back from eating the food with Hawk's ear. I start to silently laugh. Ban asks the kids how to get into the necropolis. I get he doesn't believe that the person we saw earlier was King but I know why he really wants to get into the necropolis. To see Elaine. She's King's sister. And she was my best friend. King knew I was her friend. He was fine with it. Until he figured out I liked Ban. He kept asking me why and it started to get on my nerves. That's when I told him that Ban saved my life. He asked me how but I told him I didn't want to talk about it. I was deep in my thoughts when I noticed Ban and the others start to walk out. I ran after them. Ban saw me and I was surprised he didn't tease me. We split up with the others. Ban was just staring at the ground. I was staring at the sky thinking about how me and Ban first met.

I was helping Elaine guard the fountain of youth. I suddenly heard singing and alerted Elaine. We both hid when he came up. We both stepped in front of him. Elaine blasted him back and I kicked him at the same time. Elaine's powers didn't effect me. But no matter how many times we did that he still came back. Just then I'm snapped out of my thoughts as Diane comes up behind us laughing, the others following behind. "Those flowers so don't suit you Ban. All though they do suit you Serena" Diane says. I look down and see pretty white-pinkish flowers surrounding us. All of a sudden after Hawk said something I didn't hear the flowers went into a giant whirlwind surrounding us. We hear the kids shout something I couldn't make out. When the whirlwind dies down I see we're not where we were. That means we were in the necropolis. I see a familiar figure. Elaine. I run after her so does Ban. King, who must have followed us into the whirlwind, was besides us. "Still don't believe I'm the real deal, huh Ban" King asks lazily. Then Ban tries to grab him from the air. King being King just dodged. When Ban does believe and he tries to backhand King that's when the fighting begins I want to stop them but King somehow bound my legs and arms and I'm just trying to get out just as Ban is being stabbed with King's spear fossilizing Ban. I try to help just to end up scratched and starting to fossilize myself. I remember how Ban saved my life. Him and Elaine had been acting wierd and Ban was about to ask me something. But a demon attacked us I can barely move. Elaine looks back at me after Ban tells her to drink the fountain and escape with me. She mouths sorry and drinks it just to force Ban to drink it. Then when the demon is about to step on them he suddenly is by my side holding Elaine. He then fights the demon. After the fight he is by my side. He picks both me and Elaine up into his arms. As Elaine dies me crying he promises what he told her before coming to talk with me before the attack. "I promise one day I'll take both you and Serena out of here" but before he finishes she dies. He says to let him finish first crying and setting her down as he holds me as I cry for the lose of my best friend. After remembering that I'm fully fossilized. I hear the voice of Elaine as I feel the stone encasing my body break. I see Elaine and the fact she is hugging both and Ban. We talk with her before going to fight. After fighting guila , the holy knight, with King saving the day (kinda) and joining back up with us. We start disappearing Elaine tells me that I should say how I feel before we're back in the small town. I feel Ban's hand on my shoulder. I look up at him and see's he's signalling for me to follow him not before drawing a mouth on the unconscience guila. We walk a little bit away from the others. Ban then asks me something I never expected " Serena do you love me?" I'm shocked that he found out and am blushing madly. I slowly and shyly nod my head yes. Ban then does something I never expected. He kisses me. I'm surprised but not enough that I don't kiss back. I then ask him " w-why d-did y-you k-kiss m-me? I thought you only thought of me as a friend". He looks at me and explains. The day we were attacked by the demon he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend. He then told me that he had been waiting to see if you felt the same first. He didn't realize until Elaine mentioned that I should say how I feel. He asked me to be his girlfriend. I, of course said yes. We made our way back to tell the others. We had a grand adventure with the others reclaiming the kingdom and cleaning the sins name.
