The next few months flew by like a whirlwind and it all culminated to one magnificent wedding day. Only close family friends were invited, and at the reception, Lindsey and Stevie announced the news of the pregnancy to everyone. Their family and friends were all so happy for them, Mick Fleetwood even shedding a tear.

Stevie was finally showing and Lindsey couldn't help but think she even looked more beautiful.Every time he saw her belly, he couldn't help but feel proud. He helped create those lives, and he just loved that he could always see her growing bump now that she was getting near the end of her pregnancy. The couple sat on their living room sofa gently singing to Stevie's growing belly.

"This is just perfect, Linds. I really don't think I could be any happier."

"I feel the same exact way, Mrs. Buckingham. I-"

"Actually, scratch that. The only way I could be happier is if I was eating some enchiladas. Do you wanna go to Geraldo's and get something to eat?" Stevie asked hopefully. She was happy that her pregnancy gave her an excuse to indulge in more Mexican food without feeling too guilty about it.

"Of course, Steph. Let's go!" Lindsey stood up and helped Stevie up when she made a face.

"Now what's that for? Are you alright?" Lindsey asked, holding his breath.

"Well, the boots I wanted to wear...are all the way upstairs. My back is hurting today and I really don't wan-"

"Say no more! I'll be your night in shining armor and be right back, boots in hand!" Lindsey gave her a quick peck on the cheek and took off for Stevie's closet where he heard a faint "Linds, the creme platforms!" He laughed to himself, knowing she just complained about her back but had no problem putting on giant platform boots.

Lindsey scanned the large closet where he found himself in the midst of what felt like a million pairs of shoes. To him, every creme pair looked the same, so he grabbed the pair that looked familiar to him - a pair that she used to wear touring with Fleetwood Mac. He lifted the pair from their spot on the floor when a familiar white baggie slipped out from the boot's opened zipper. His face turned pale as a ghost and he stormed downstairs. He couldn't believe she was still using cocaine. How didn't I notice? He thought to himself, brimming with emotion.

"Thank you so m-" Before Stevie could finish, Lindsey furiously dropped the boots onto the ground and threw the bag onto the table.

"Wha- what is that?" Stevie sheepishly asked, her eyes filling with tears.

"Why don't you tell me? I can't believe you're still doing this shit. I thought you had stopped? How selfish could you be, Stephanie?"

A chill went up Stevie's spine when he called her Stephanie. She hadn't touched any cocaine or alcohol since she found out she was pregnant. It was the hardest thing she had ever done, quitting coke cold turkey like that, but she knew it would be worth it.

"Lindsey I need you to get rid of that right now, or I swear to God I'll tear it open and do a line right now. Lindsey I can't touch it. You need to flush it." Lindsey stood there frozen. "For fuck's sake, Lindsey! I need you to get rid of this, I swear to-" Stevie couldn't take it anymore and turned away from the tempting bag of powder set before her, tears streaming down her face.

"Are you fucking kidding me? Now all of a sudden you can't even look at it because you're THAT ashamed! How could you do this to me? To the babies? I should've known you'd fuck up the babies somehow!" Lindsey roared at her, his face turning red and sweat beginning to form on his hands.

Stevie couldn't believe what she just heard coming from her husband's mouth. She was scared, upset, angry and stormed out of the room. If he'd only let her talk, let her explain what happened, she could tell him that the bag was from a few years ago. Lindsey was stunned in silence as he heard his wife lock the bathroom door. He was furious, but followed her anyway, feeling some remorse as he'd just made his pregnant wife cry.

"Steph, baby...I didn't mean that. I'm sorry." He said, forehead pressed to the cold door that separated the couple. "Please, would you come out? I need to talk to you. Come on, baby, open up." After a few moments of silence, he heard the lock un click and a puffy eyed Stevie open the door.
