《Oh Baby》Dreams

Stevie immediately hung up after hearing the woman, a much younger woman, answer the phone. Had Lindsey moved on already? It had been a month before him and Stevie ended things this time. Stevie couldn't believe it. She turned to a bottle of tequila and begun opening the clear bottle. She sighed and stopped herself, as she wouldn't be able to drink or get high anymore. She took to her journal and started to write.
Hello, Little One~
I found out about you today. I truly couldn't be happier. You have become my only meaning in life now. Every dove that flies by, each crystal vision I see, they're all you. Your Daddy still doesn't know about you. I hope you can give me the courage to tell him soon. I already know he will love you more than anything else.
I love you ~ Little One.
How was she supposed to tell Lindsey? In the past, the couple had a few scares and each time the test came back negative, he always seemed to be sad. She knew that Lindsey wanted kids more than anything else in the world. Stevie knew that she was making his dream come true. Her dream too. Stevie lit some candles before getting inside her covers. She didn't sleep a wink that night, thinking of how she would break the news to Lindsey.
Stevie was awoken to a quiet little bark. She rolled over and saw her dog, Ginny, sitting at the foot of the bed wagging her tail. "Good morning, Ginny, how are you today?!" The tiny white poodle brought so much joy to Stevie's life, she couldn't imagine how a baby would make her feel. She looked at the clock and noticed that she was supposed to be at the studio in less than an hour. She quickly let Ginny out to go to the bathroom and got in the shower. She dressed in a black dress and stockings with a purple shawl to go over it.

Stevie opened her jewelry box and saw two gold rings sticking out to her. One was Lindsey's class ring he had given her before she left for San Jose State. While she was at school, she would wear it on a chain around her neck. It made her feel safe and she knew that Lindsey loved when she wore it. The other ring as a gold band that Lindsey had given her when Buckingham Nicks was released. The couple finally had some money, and Lindsey bought the band for her. It wasn't a wedding ring or an engagement ring, it was something in the middle. A promise ring of sorts, and now Stevie only wore it around her right ring finger or thumb when the pair was back together. It wasn't the most beautiful or expensive ring, but to her, it meant the world. Stevie grabbed the gold band and put it on her thumb, hopefully signaling to Lindsey something. She didn't know what she wanted it to mean, but she knew that it would catch Lindsey's eye.
