《You Are My Heart》Chapter 13

After slapping Moonbyul and gatherings her things. Solar headed back to her room with Hwasa and Whee-In to get her belongings.
"I think I was a bit too hard on her. Should I go apologize?" Solar pondered out loud.
"No, unnie," Hwasa protested. "You have to be firmed!"
"But she looked pretty shocked," Solar said sadly. "I don't think she meant it."
"Isn't that good?" Whee-In replied. "It meant she have some feelings for you."
"I guess but…" Solar hesitated.
"Unnie," Hwasa placed her hands on Solar's shoulders with a stern look, "Do you think Byul-Yi unnie have feelings for you even though she have no recollection of the past?"
"I think so…I'm pretty confident she does from her reaction," Solar slightly smiled.
"Ok then I have a plan," Hwasa grinned. "Let's get out of here first."
"But shouldn't I go apologize?" Solar exclaimed.
"No."
Whee-In and Hwasa each taking Solar by the arm and dragged her out of the hospital. Solar was still protesting but gave up half way through because it was in vain. Whee-In and Hwasa let go of her arm so she could walk by herself. Once they were out at the lobby Solar stopped in front of the desk to dropped off some items. She took a map out of her bag and began doodling.
"What are you doing unnie?" Whee-In asked and Hwasa looked over.
"What are those suppose to be?" Hwasa raised her brows.
"I'm marking some apartments near where we live. This sun here is of course our place. The best there is. I hope she'd come home of course." Solar exclaimed.
"Then why are you marking other apartments on there?" Whee-In asked curiously.
"What if she come home but refuse to stay and then I don't know where to find her. It's for just in case if she still needs time alone." Solar slightly pouted.
"But why do you think she would pick something you draw on there?" Whee-In asked again.
"It's just a feeling. I can't be sure of it but I'd rather have done something then nothing." Solar sighed.
"What do the symbols mean unnie?" Hwasa quickly jumped in seeing Solar frowning a little.
Solar smiled and replied, "This heart mean it's the closest to our home. The heels mean it's a little walk away but not too far. The legs, well I heard there's a lot of y girls here, so I'll kick her if she goes here. As for this angry eye, it's far away from home so that's why I'm drawing it like that."
"Unnie, you're really creative." Hwasa cheerily complimented clapping her hands.
Solar handed the nurse the map, she dug through her bag for the car key and handed it over to the nurse as well. She also brought out a wallet but opened it to check before handing it to the nurse. She turned the wallet around and carefully inspect it for something.
"What are you doing unnie?" Hwasa asked curiously.
"I want to see where I can hide a picture," Solar answered while concentrating on the wallet.
"Hide?" Whee-In looked at Solar intently. "Wouldn't it be better to place it somewhere it can easily be seen?"
"I don't know, but I like my method better." Solar disagreed.
"But Byul-Yi unnie couldn't find what you hid most of the time," Whee-In added.
"She found it eventually though, so it'll be fine." Solar smiled.

Solar ignored all protest and went with what she usually would do. She hid a tiny picture with all four of them on it in the side pocket. It's flat and deeply tugged in. When she finished handling over the items to the nurse she turned to Whee-In and Hwasa.
"Ok let's go," Solar motioned with her head to the door.
"Wait one second unnie," Hwasa went over to the nurse and whispered something to her. Then she came back to Solar and Whee-In, "Ok we can go now."
"What did you tell the nurse?" Solar questioned.
"It's a secret," Hwasa stuck out her tongue.
"Hm…" Solar smiled, "Up to no good again I see."
"Let's go unnie," Hwasa winked and rushed them along.
That night Hwasa and Whee-In took Solar out for their plan.
"A club? What are we doing here?" Solar sternly scolded.
"It's ok unnie," Hwasa explained. "We are using this place like a prop."
"Prop? What do you mean?" Solar raised her brow.
"It's to test if Byul-Yi unnie really have feelings for you," Hwasa said cheerily.
"How will going to the club help test that?"
"Well you know like if you call her and said you're in trouble will she come to help or just leave you be. If you're drunk will she give you a piggyback ride or let you wobble all over. Stuffs like that." Hwasa proudly exclaimed.
"But what trouble will I be in?" Solar couldn't think of a reason.
"I'm not sure. Hmm…" Hwasa pondered.
"How about not bringing money?" Whee-In chimed in.
"Ok that'll do," Hwasa rushed the plan along.
Hwasa dragged Solar and Whee-In to a corner table. It was a quieter night tonight and not many people were around. Slow music is playing and only about a handful of couples were dancing. There were people sitting around with their friends and chatting away. They had enough space for Solar to practice a little.
"Ok unnie," Hwasa began. "Pretend you're drunk."
"All of a sudden?" Solar raised her brow.
"Yes," Hwasa nodded incessantly. "Like you're practicing for an act. Try it."
"Ow my head~," Solar held her head and squint her eyes.
"…" Hwasa and Whee-In stared before they commented in unison, "Unnie you're acting is pretty bad."
"Well gee thanks," Solar said sarcastically.
"One second," Whee-In went over to the bartender and order some drinks.
She came back with two bottles of Soju and let Solar drank it until she feels a little light headed but can still function normally.
"How do you feel unnie?" Whee-In asked staring at Solar.
"I'm great!" Solar yelled.
"That's good, unnie is in high spirit." Hwasa whispered to Whee-In. "Ok unnie now call Byul-Yi unnie to come and pick you up."
Solar picked up the phone, grinned, closed one of her eyes, then dialed Moonbyul's number. She yelled through her phone then hung up and laughed. Then she made a serious face and said.
"She said she's not coming," Solar pouted.
"I think she will," Whee-In disagreed and Hwasa nodded.
"Really?" Solar smiled widely.
"Yes unnie," Hwasa confirmed. "Moving on now. Whee-In will watch out front inside her car and text us if she see Byul-Yi unnie. As for you Yong-Sun unnie, you see those two gentlemen there?" Hwasa pointed to two guys a couple of tables away and Solar nodded to confirm. "Go over and ask if they would like to buy a drink for you. If they don't…nah I'm sure they will. But don't drink it right away, or just sip it if you do. And if Whee-In text comes in about Byul-Yi unnie I'll give you a signal like this so make sure to sit facing over here, ok?"

"Ok!" Solar nodded.
"Make sure to be y like how you would be with Byul-Yi unnie." Hwasa added. "Don't worry I'll be here to watch you and help if anything happens."
Solar came over to the two guys whom were cheerily chatting away and sat down facing them. She can see Hwasa from her seat as well. She place her right leg on top of her left, her elbows on the table. She placed her chin on her fingers and winked at them.
"Gentlemen would you like to buy a drink for a lonely gal?" Solar tried to exude her iness but the two men laughed. "What's so funny?" Solar sternly questioned.
"Sister we don't swing that way," they winked at Solar and held each other hands.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry," Solar almost jumped out of her seat.
"It's ok. You made us laugh so you're ok. So what's wrong?" One of the guy asked swiping his hair to the back of his ear. "We sensitive guy can see when something is bothering a girl," he placed a hand on his chest.
"It's a long story but the short version is I'm trying to test if my girlfriend, who have lost her memory, to see if she still have feelings for me. I think she's on her way right now, so I was actually going to use you guys to…" Solar stopped feeling embarrassed to continue.
"Ah I get what you're trying to do. No worries, we'll help. Right honey," one of the man winked at the other.
"Right," the other man smiled back.
Solar thanked them and one of the man called the bartender over. He ordered a drink for Solar and they proceeded to chat. They got to know each other a little better and Solar actually had fun talking with them. When she saw Hwasa signaled that Moonbyul was there, Solar informed the two men and they became serious.
When Moonbyul took the drink from Solar's hand and suddenly yanked her out of the chair, Solar was so surprised and happy that for a couple of moments she was in a blissful dazed and forgot about the plan. Afterward she just improvised with whatever jumped into her mind. She was sure when she requested for a piggyback ride Moonbyul would have denied her but she was wrong. Moonbyul carried her gently and carefully. She felt safe. She felt love and she smiled like a child as she stared at the back of Moonbyul's head. She felt so happy she just wanted to scream whatever came to her head and she did. She even bit Moonbyul's shoulder because of her uncontainable happiness.
Moonbyul took her back to her apartment and Solar realized it was the one marked with the angry eye. She wasn't happy that it was far away from home, but at least now she knew where Moonbyul was. Once they entered Moonbyul's room Solar carefully scan her surroundings while screaming just whatever. After placing Solar down on the bed Moonbyul wanted to leave but Solar didn't want her to. She unconsciously held onto Moonbyul's necktie. She tried to tease Moonbyul and in a daring voice told Moonbyul to kiss her if Moonbyul wanted her to be quiet. She thought Moonbyul wouldn't and she was wrong again. Her prediction had been wrong a lot today but she wouldn't have it any other way. That night they kissed for the first time in a very long time. It felt like it had been forever. Solar couldn't have been any happier now. Her hand let go of Moonbyul's necktie and absorbed herself in the sweetness of the kiss. Her heart began to feel as though it was slowly sweetening. Their lips slowly separate.
"Ok now, no more screaming. Just sleep ok?" Moonbyul said slowly.
She tried to get up and leave but Solar turned her over and pushed her down onto the bed. Solar's hand was on Moonbyul's chest. They stare at each other for a while before Solar placed her head on Moonbyul's chest, her hand around Moonbyul's belly, and said.
"Let me rest like this for a while," Solar whispered softly. "You make me feel safe. I'll be able to rest well. Be my pillow guard for tonight. I love you…" Then she drifted off into sleep.
Moonbyul laid there with Solar partly on top of her. She didn't uttered any protest and she wasn't sure why. Her heart was thumping out of control but she felt at peace seeing Solar sleeping face. She smiled gently and unknowingly she caressed Solar's face. When she realized what she was doing she stopped and stared at the ceiling. Not long after, Moonbyul drifted off to sleep as well with a smile spread across both their faces.
Solar awoke in the morning and saw Moonbyul still sleeping soundly. She smiled and kissed Moonbyul's forehead. She felt blissful and wished everyday would be like this. To be able to see the person you love when you open your eyes. To know they are happy and safe. To be able to love and feel love. Those are the happiness Solar wanted above all. She got up and made breakfast for Moonbyul. She made a round omelet with a smiling face like the sun and some veggies decorated in the shape of a heart. She didn't want to leave but she smelled of alcohol so she went home to wash. She is happy at the progression and cheerily went home.
When Solar got home Whee-In and Hwasa threw questions at her like rushing water. She tried to answer them but they were asking it too quickly. She had to sternly asked them to slow down and let her clean up first. Once she was done showering, Solar sat down on the sofa with Whee-In and Hwasa to recount what happened the evening before. Solar giggled and stomped her feet a lot when she was talking. Whee-In and Hwasa smiled and felt happy for Solar as well. They chatted away for hours and hours. It was maybe around two when Solar received a message. When she read it she giggled loudly and couldn't contain her happiness.
"What is it unnie?" Hwasa and Whee-In tried to peek while smiling haughtily.
"Nothing," Solar tried to hide her phone and look away from Hwasa and Whee-In.
When Solar tried to flee Hwasa stopped her and Whee-In sneakily took the phone from Solar. They jumped away from Solar and read the message out loud.
"Thanks for the breakfast. It was delicious," Hwasa looked at Whee-In, tapped her shoulder gently and jokingly said, "Whee-In why don't you make me breakfast? See how sweet they are," Hwasa playfully pouted. Whee-In laughed and they continued to read the rest of the message, "Come to the rooftop of building A133 at three, I have something I want to tell you. Oo~ sound like a confession. I'm so jealous." Hwasa and Whee-In laughed.
Solar grabbed her phone back and ran to her room.
"Don't be embarrassed unnie!" Hwasa yelled then laughed.
Solar smiled as she tried on different outfits, it took her awhile but she finally found an outfit she thought Moonbyul would like. She dressed herself up and went out. She sternly warned Hwasa and Whee-In not to follow and spy. They had no choice but to stay home. Solar was being really serious about it. Hwasa tried to contain her curiosity but she ended up not being able to. When she saw that Solar had forgotten her phone at home, she thought she had found her chance to dig Moonbyul for an answer by texting her and pretending to be Solar.
As for Solar, she arrived a couple minutes earlier than the appointed time. She didn't mind and happily waited. She began wandering the rooftop when she noticed Moonbyul's hat in the corner hanging on a potted plant. She thought Moonbyul was here already but she saw no one around. She called out to Moonbyul but no one answered. She thought Moonbyul had probably left to buy something. She wanted to help Moonbyul retrieved her hat so she came over to try and reached for it. It was farther than she had thought, she leaned her body over the fence and tried her hardest to reach for it. Suddenly her body lifted into the air and she fell over.

Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
