After thinking probably everything that could possibly happen after he make a decision, Vernon decided to take her to his hotel room. He thought of all the possibilities that might happen to her if he leave her there, at that kind of place, unconscious and drunk, and bringing her with him is the safest possible way he could do.

But of course, on the way, he struggled accompanying her, from riding the taxi to taking the lift, they would limp because of her constant moving. Yet still, fortunately, he got both of them inside his room.

As slowly as ever, he lay her on his white sheets, but before he could even lean back and stood up, she clinged her arms around his neck, making him instinctively drop both of his palms beside her head, his face getting even closer to her.

He got quite taken aback because as far as he knows, she was already in deep slumber.

Her eyes slowly fluttered open and when she got to see his face, a sweet smile plastered on her lips.

All the lights inside his room were all closed and their only source of light was the night light coming from the window, but that dim light was enough for them to see each other's faces.

"Why... is it suddenly so quiet...?",She asked, thrusting out her lower lip. She came from a place with blasting music, she fell asleep there and have awoken in a place where even a single drop of a tiny nail can be heard.

"You're in my room."

"Oh..."

"I don't know where you live or staying at so I brought you here.", His voice went even deeper as her hands became heavier clinging on his nape. She was close to going back to sleep but for an apparent reason, she wanted to stay up.

"I just came from a heartbreak.", She out of a sudden started. "...but it wasn't really official because he doesn't know it yet.", She chuckled bitterly. "...but I think anytime soon, he'll know. He cheated on me by the way, and I thought the only way to forget him is to be as far away from him as much as possible and so I came here...", She took a long pause, and as one of a person's instinct, he got curious too but he didn't bother asking her or telling her to continue. He just patiently waited for her.

"I thought spending some time alone would be a way to recharge myself, but my first days here wasn't even close to a so called vacation. I thought, I should just be optimistic but I ended up in club...", She chuckled, thoughts of what happened to her the past days coming back.

"I thought I would hate guys because of what he did...but... I met you. I feel like I got attracted to you over and over again everytime I'd get to see you...so..."

She pulled out a wide beam, and unconsciously, like sorcery, she controlled him to do as well; a smile carved out on his face.

"Don't go around breaking people's hearts too, alright?"

She removed her arms from him, but unknowingly, he didn't move away and just dazed at her face for awhile.

"You're really good at moving on.", Vernon uttered.

"How come?"

"You just told me. And I think everything you said were enough reasons to convince me that it's just recent that you found out and you coming here."

"I did?", And her question also convinced him that he's seriously dead drunk.

He just chuckled. Now, it amazes him on how alcohol can make a person like this: clouded mind and doesn't have any idea on what's happening, what they did or even said.

"Hi.", He unknowingly said, his voice now sounded husky.

Was she confused by his sudden greeting? No. She was too intoxicated to even read people's purpose. Therefore, with a grin, she replied. "Hi..."

A smile was immediately plastered on his face.

It wasn't their first time having a conversation, but due to many circumstances, they couldn't even have a proper greeting, thus he took that moment as a chance to do so.

"I'm Vernon."

"Vernon...", She trailed off his name with a smile as if it was the most beautiful word she has heard. "...even your name is cool... and pretty..."

Vernon just chuckled. "What about you? What do they call you?"

"Me?", Now, it was even hard for her to remember her own name. She's really wasted. He just waited for her, even if how long she'll take. But eventually, she did remember. "My name... is Liv..."

"Your name is beautiful too...", Considering that he was sober and sane, he was sincere and he meant what he said. "...just like you."

She closed her eyes now that her eyelids were getting heavier, while Vernon, he just stared at her like what he was doing for awhile now. His eyes went downcast, and by the sight of her lips, he unknowingly gulped; his adam's apple moving up and down.

And at that very moment, he was holding himself back. He had this urge to press his lips against her, but he didn't want to take advantage. Even if he asks for her permission, he knew that she was too intoxicated to give him an answer that she'll not regret. Even though she was helpless, he didn't want to get that chance to even lay a finger on her.

No matter how much he just wanted to go for it, he held himself back and went off the bed.

He knew it would make him a pervert if he really took advantage of that moment, and he doesn't like nor want it. He didn't want her to think of him like that, and somehow he wanted them to meet again and know more about her.

The next day, just when she successfully got to open her eyes despite struggling, it immediately widened the moment she realized that she was in an unfamiliar place.

It looked a bit similar to her hotel room, but it was certainly not hers. It looked bigger and spacious than hers.

She tried her hardest to recall everything that happened before she got there, but it only brought her more headache.

Her head was already aching from hangover, she remembered that he drank last night, but she didn't remember the next thing that happened after she got intoxicated, and trying to remember them just gives get more headache.

Therefore, she just gave up, and instead thought of something that could possibly help her from successfully going out of this room. As early as possible, she desperately wanted to go out. It didn't matter to her who the owner of that room was, it would just add up to her humiliation if ever they meet.
