the streets because Rosco had somehow escaped from home. Looking for him was my top priority, he meant a lot to me. He was there for me when no one wasn't. He was with Charlie and I the whole time. It's like they say, dogs are man's best friend.

"Rosco! Come here, boy!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the streets. It wasn't busy, but cars would pass by here and there. The neighborhood was pretty clean but quiet. Nobody really socialized here. I crossed the road because there was a stop sign as a car was coming through.

The idiot didn't stop though and rammed into me. I groaned as I fell to the ground, his front bumper nearly broke my arm. I was angry, but couldn't comprehend anything as I felt a quick headache. I slowly got up, looking at him. He was probably around his late forty's, his black hair fading to gray. He had a sinister grin on his face, which worried me.

He reversed, and I knew exactly what this psycho was going to do. His tired roared as he drove his way towards me once again. I shrieked, quickly running towards the sidewalk. He kept driving but went past me. And I had a chance to look at his face.

He was enjoying everything.

I breathed out as I felt a sudden pain go up my arm. I winced, clutching my teeth together. I look at my wrist, to see that it was turning purple and swollen.

I popped my left wrist.

I felt like crying as I reached out for my phone in my back pocket. I dialed a number, putting it towards my ear. I heard the line click, and I immediately answered.

"Eliazer?" I sniffled, taking an easy breath.

"You okay there? You sound... Troubled." He replied softly.

"Yeah um. I kinda got in an accident. Can you come get me?" I replied, looking at my surroundings.

"Yeah, sure. I'm on my way." He said quickly as I heard the sound of shuffling through the phone. Shortly after, I heard the roar of his car as he turned the corner, stopping in front of me. He leaned over, opening the passenger side door for me. I quickly went inside, slumping in my chair as I let out a sigh, my eyebrows furrowed from the pain. It took the time to put on my seatbelt.

"Problem?" He said, leaning over the wheel as he made a quick turn.

"I think I dislocated my wrist," I said worriedly. Eliazer immediately pressed on the brakes, making me let out a yelp as I slumped forward on my seat, the seatbelt saving me.

"Say what now?" He roared, looking at my wrist. He sighed once seeing my condition, pushing on the accelerator. "I'm taking you to the hospital."

"What? No!" I yelled, putting my good hand on his forearm. "My dad's gonna kill me, I'm not eighteen yet. He'll surely know."

"How'd that happen anyway?" He asked, furrowing his own eyebrows.

"Well, I sorta got run over..." I trailed off, looking at my strangely looking wrist. It obviously didn't look normal.

Eliazer sighed, "Idiot." He mumbled under his breath.

"Don't take me to the hospital, please," I begged, looking at him. He didn't look at me, keeping his eyes on the road. But I could tell he was pondering on what to do.

"Fine. But we're doing this my way." He said with a deadpan look, pointing a finger towards his chest. I immediately nodded my head. I'll do anything if my dad doesn't have to find out. Eliazer nodded his head, sealing the deal. We drove for a while until we finally reached his place.

Instead of taking the elevator, we silently took the stairs.

I already learned my lesson that other time.

Once we went inside, I slumped on the wooden chair that was in the kitchen, something I've been doing often. Eliazer went off somewhere while I stayed in the kitchen, thinking of nothing but the pain the I felt. It was horrible, and I was freaked out by how weird looking my wrist was. If Aspen saw any of this, he'd be going off. But in my opinion, he has better things to do.

'Like my future sister-in-law' I thought with a smirk on my face. Suddenly, Eliazer came inside the room. He stuffed a cloth into my mouth and grabbed my hand. I was too stunned to do anything, but once he popped my wrist, I screamed like I never did before. Tears had welled up in my eyes from the sudden pain.

"It's better when you don't expect it, I learned from that," Eliazer said, patting my shoulder. He was referring to the time I cauterized the gunshot wound. I had unexpectedly done the same to him, but surprisingly, it is better when you don't expect it.

"It should heal on its own." He solemnly said, hands on his waist.

"How'd you learn to do that?" I asked him, rubbing my forehead.

"It's called survival sweetheart." He replied, throwing me a wet cloth. For some reason, I knew there was a deeper meaning to that word.

Survival.

I didn't bother asking as I wiped my flushed face. Another word lingered in my head.

Sweetheart. Is it wrong to think too much of this?

Maybe I did bother asking. Asking what happened in his life. Why he lives by himself. Why the world is so cruel to him, and most of all; what happened to his eye. But I wasn't quite ready to ask him that yet, no. Not yet.

I looked at Eliazer, and he knew a deep secret. He knew about Charlie. I never bring up Charlie, with anyone, and it's still a big wonder as to how Kegan knew. How Kegan knew about Charlie, about the bitch people call a mother. And I wonder, how can a mother do that?

How can a mother not mourn for her deceased child? It's nature, but of course, she's nothing but a cold hearted bitch. The main door flew open, and in came Jared with words that brought me the greatest joy. "Why hello there Brynnie Bryn Bryn. I found your dog."
