《King of Freaks ✔》Chapter 13

a jolt, falling off the bed in the process. I groaned, fully awake while rubbing my bottom. I peeked over the bed to see Eliazer hastily moving around, mumbling. I got back on the bed, putting a hand on his bicep. He didn't wake up but kept on mumbling. I couldn't understand what he was saying, but judging from his furrowed eyes brows; they weren't good.
"Eliazer," I whispered, trying to soothe him down. He grabbed my forearm, pulling towards him. I squealed in surprise as I was forcefully pulled. His chest was facing my back, his arms wrapped around me. I was cold stiff as Eliazer held me closer.
"Ga-Gabe." He stuttered out. Gabe? Who's Gabe? He was still asleep, his breath fanning my face, holding me close. My arms went around his, trying to pull them off me, unsuccessfully may I add. I groaned in defeat, letting my tense body go limp in his arms. His minty, hot, breath fanned my face, calming me down a bit more. It was soothing and got me drowsy very quickly.
Fuck it.
As soon as I woke up, I fell back asleep.
~
A few weeks have gone by after that awkward incident. I woke up in the bed by myself, I'm not sure if Eliazer woke up with us in that position, but as of the moment, it's still unknown. My mind kept flashing back to what he said.
Gabe? Who's Gabe?
"Gabe." I unconsciously whispered.
"What'd you say?" Eliazer said, a little too loud. People gasped in the classroom, even the teacher was a bit stunned. During school, Eliazer doesn't say anything at all, not even a peep. Eliazer simply glared at everyone, immediately making them go back to what they were doing. His glare is frightening, but it's something I'm used to now. Both his eyes can make a person shit themselves in under three seconds.

"Nothing." I replied slowly, pondering what I was going to say. I looked at him, his face void of emotion but his eyes said the opposite. His eyes held worry, confusion, and so many deep secrets. Secrets I wish I could know. Secrets that reveal the past.
Eliazer looked at me warily, before going back to his work. I was silently screaming inside my head, my eyes widening as I paid attention to the worksheet in hand.
God, I'm so stupid! How could I say that out loud? How could you do that Bryn? Now he's gonna know!
My breathing had become uneven from how panicked I was, and I constantly fiddled with my hair.
You're making it too obvious.
I slowly took a deep breath in, before exhaling slowly, unnoticeable to Eliazer. I successfully cleared my brain with different thoughts, smiling a bit to myself. It's those moments when you talk with your conscious, about the stupidest things. The bell rang, and I quickly collected my stuff, on my way towards the lunchroom. I ran into Jared on the way, who looked a bit gloomy.
"What's wrong?" I asked him. He looked up at me, before looking back down at the ground. He was a bit taller than me, around three more inches than my five foot six form. "Jared, what's wrong?"
"Have your friends ever... Back stabbed you? Before?" He asked. I was stunned since it never really happened to me. Before I didn't have any friends, I was too busy trying to take care of Charlie. I don't know how to answer Jared if I truly haven't gone through the experience.
"No. I haven't had friends before." I answer him honestly. He sighs, looking at me before looking back down. "But you know, it's part of life to go through new challenges. You either forgive and forget, or find another way to handle it. True friends stab you in the front." I added, smiling at myself as I recited Bring Me The Horizon.

Jared nodded before looking back up at me. "Thanks." He said, the end of his smile twitching up into a lopsided smirk. We walked, who knows where Jared was supposed to be, but for the looks of it, he didn't care.
"So..." He said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, "Wanna be my girlfriend for the day?" He jokingly said.
"No you dimwit," I replied laughing, shoving his hands from me in a playful manner.
"What! It brings the popularity up if you ask me; the freshman and the senior." He said, motioning his hand in the air as if there was a sign. I chuckle at his foolishness as we keep on walking. On our way, we surprisingly bump into Bruce.
"Hey, Bry- Oh hello there buddy." He said, giving Jared a pat in the back that was a little too hard. Jared fumbled forward, loosing his footing for a second. "Woah, hang on there Buddy," Bruce added, holding Jared up.
"Yea yea thanks," Jared said sarcastically, whipping his shirt while shoving off Bruce's hand.
"Damn, what went up your ass?" Bruce exclaimed too loudly. Jared went beet red from embarrassment.
"I don't even know you! Bryn, get this freak away from me before I bash his fucking face in." Jared said, pointing a finger at Bruce.
"Woah, bash my face in? What are you? Five Ten? And Junior?" Bruce said, teasing.
"I'm a freshie and slay Junior hoes," Jared replied proudly, a proud smirk on his face.
Bruce raised an eyebrow in surprise before shaking his head, replacing it with a scowl. "No way! I couldn't slay hoes till I was a Sophmore!"
"Guys, just shut up already." I said, rolling my eyes. The sound of the metal detector going off caught my attention. We weren't that far away from the school doors. It happened over and over until finally, the sound of yelling made a red flag go off, but the next words made me go stiff.
"H-He's got a gun!"
