The media called it "The Suga Effect".

It was bullshit, if you asked him. They portrayed it as if he hadn't gotten hate, too. He had gotten the hate he had never guessed he would have. All those years of his career and now he got the hate. Just because he was in a relationship. Though it was kind of good that it happened, he had seen his true fans. Some of them had immediately left the fandom, some demanded he left the group —what a joke— but most of them stayed. One time he had heard Park Jinyoung say 'the fans who stay with you after you get married are the true fans' and even if marriage wasn't on the table for him and Lisa, he had fully understood the man's words only now. The amount of hate and curse he received was overwhelming.

His backlash was as strong as their hate, though.

If they hit him once, he hit them twice with his interviews, lyrics, next mixtape, the shows he appeared on TV, his Vlives.

It had been tiresome and he had been wearing thin when the fans and the public finally and reluctantly accepted the fact that he had a relationship.

If they were stubborn, Yoongi was stubborn too. After all, he had managed to survive in the idol world so far. That required a thick skin and a lot of fire within you burning to give you the strength to fight for the things worth fighting for.

Lalisa Manoban definitely worth fighting for.

It's just the world didn't know it was her yet.

It took Lisa one and a half years to gather the courage and create the perfect environment that would lead up to revealing their relationship fully.

At first, she revealed that she had been in a relationship so far. A year and a half ago, that would immediately mean she was in a relationship with Yoongi but a lot changed during that one year and a half.

Yoongi jokingly named that time span 'a different kind of coming out'.

During that time a lot of idols revealed their relationships. That's why it was called The Suga Effect. Yoongi was the second biggest thing in this means after Hyuna and E-Dawn came out clean with their relationship. But what triggered the sequence of revelations was Yoongi's act and his stance. Thanks to him and his enduring, people saw that these 'scandals' were acceptable if you fought hard enough for your relationship.

Some of them did, some of them did not.

Though this worked in favour of those who fought, showing the public they cared about their significant other enough to endure.

So one and a half year later, they were finally ready to reveal each other.

Yoongi was so fucking nervous and excited in the days that led up to the D-Day that he was barely tolerable. But his members understood him to some extent. He had been waiting for this day almost for six years, for fucks sake.

Lisa was, on the other hand, having anxiety attacks every other day. She was fine and excited and happy one moment, and in the next moment she was crying in fear of the backlash. Her members were so worried, always keeping an eye on her, Chaeyoung even had started to sleeping with Lisa to make sure the youngest got some sleep. Jennie was tense and serious all the time, which brought hate to her because of her default resting bitch face. But for the first time, she didn't care about them, she was focused on Lisa's mental and physical health.

And Jisoo—she suggested that they cancelled the revelation, shocking everyone and creating an even more tense atmosphere between her and Yoongi.

For some reason, she had never been actively supportive of their relationship and acted cold towards Yoongi despite her fastly developing friendship with Jin. When asked, she always shrugged, saying 'someone has to stand their ground and keep him on his toes, I don't really trust men in general, Min Yoongi is no exception, besides, he's handsome, desired and successful, that will always bring trouble and I want him to know that I have my eyes on him, I'll be watching his every move'. But she respected their relationship and was never rude to Yoongi in any way. He understood this much. He was even thankful that Jisoo was the logic and wasn't fooled by his fame and so called 'perfection'.

Cancelling the long–awaited revelation though, that was an entirely different situation. Lisa had to step in for the first time to calm him down and tone Jisoo's counter attacks down.

They were fine now, everything was fine. She hoped everyting would be fine after the revelation, too.

She and Yoongi had decided to reveal it during a Vlive that would start solo for each of them and then turn into a couple live. They were going to start the stream in their respective phones, in the different corners of the same room. And then they were going to meet up in the middle. They estimated it wouldn't take really long, and they were going to turn the comments off for the first time in their Vlive histories.

To not be too obvious, they had asked their mutual friends who knew about their 'situation' to do Vlives too. Thankfully all of them accepted. There were eight of them now and they thought they'd blend in well.

The date was April 10th.

It was April so they were aware that the initial response was going to be 'April Fool's has passed already, is this a joke' but they had no other choice with both of their comebacks in late May and early June and the upcoming world tours. It was now or never.

"We'll be fine," Yoongi had said to Lisa during one of her breakdowns. "We have each other. We have the support of our members, our friends, our companies. The people who matter are with us, baby."

Lisa had taken a deep breath, "Our careers—"

"It'll be fine," Yoongi had brushed her hair back. "I promise it'll be fine. They have to accept it in one way or another. Because there's no way I'm giving up on you."

With a weak smile, Lisa had hugged him, burying her face into the crook of his neck and inhaling his scent, "Promise?"

A warm laugh had come with the arms circling around her, "Never in a million years, baby. Never."

On April 10th, Lisa entered Big Hit's practice room early in the morning. They had figured YG would attract too much attention and the fans would recognise it immediately. They couldn't do it in Lisa's house because she wasn't supposed to be bringing men into the apartment. They couldn't do it in Bangtan's house or Yoongi's house because it would be the end of their privacy.

So Big Hit's practice room it was.

They waited until afternoon like they had announced. Both of them had announced a Vlive through social media even days before and the fans were really excited about it, mentioning the lives in every comment and even trending it on Twitter. So when the afternoon came, they just hoped the servers wouldn't crash.

Lisa sat at one of the corners and Yoongi at the one across her. He was going to start first because he had a lot to say. Then Lisa was going to start, asking them to be calm and understanding. Turning off the comments was just a precaution they both decided to take.

Yoongi started around three.

"I have an important thing to share," he said after talking a while. The absence of the comments was weird but the numbers of the viewers were reassuring. It was around four million and counting. "It's something I really care about and I need you guys to be sane when it happens. You know what I've been through in the past two years and I don't want it to repeat. That's why I turned the comments off," he looked at the camera of his phone very seriously. "I will not tolerate the same things again."

He ran his fingers though his hair and took a deep breath. This was it.

"It's about my girlfriend's identity. She's here with me at the moment."

His heart was beating very fast but his face was calm and collected.

Lisa, on the other hand, was nervous beyond reason.

"I know it's been a while and I'm sorry for turning off the comments but it was necessary," she took a deep breath. Her face was far from the usual playfulness she sported as she looked at her camera. "This is really important for me, so please be understanding and don't respond too harshly."

Licking her lips, she cleared her throat, "You know I'm in a relationship for a while now. It's actually been more than five years since we started dating with that person. He means a lot to me, a very important and precious person in my life who helped me in times of need and has stayed with me through thick and thin. He is someone that I'm very proud of to be with, and I don't really want to hide anymore. So we're going to reveal his identity."

Then she glanced over the camera to check Yoongi and found him looking at her.

"Here we go," she smiled weakly. "One second."

Both of them got up at the same time, walking quietly towards the empty wall in the middle and carefully sat down in front of the little pedestal they prepared beforehand for their phones.

Without a word, both of them placed the phones and leaned back, the other immediately entering the frame.

Now, finally, they sat side by side in front of the camera.

"Army," Yoongi started.

"And our Blinks," Lisa continued.

"This is my girlfriend Lalisa Manoban."

"And this is my boyfriend Min Yoongi."

With a sigh, Lisa locked her phone and casually threw it next to her on the couch before sliding down to a semi-lying position. Chaeyoung watched her sympathetically, they were going through difficult times.

"Well, no one said it was going to be easy," Chaeyoung reminded in a gentle voice. "Still, we're here for you. Think about Yoongi oppa. Doesn't he worth all of these?"

Lisa was staring at the ceiling but upon hearing his name, a small smile curved her lips.

"Yes, he does."

Locking the phone, Lisa threw it onto the couch with another sigh. It really had been a week—one week, seven days, of people hoping that they were joking. "I told you," Yoongi had told Lisa on the phone during one of her panic attacks where she cried so much in fear. "They have to accept it some way. As long as we stand together, there's nothing they can do."

Lisa had been going to the company at dawn for the fear of fans waiting her in front of their dorm and the company, though. She had been going at dawn and coming back way after midnight.

Well, to their defense, not all people who wait for her were evil. There had been a lot of fights between the two groups of fans in front of both buildings—the group who came to protest her and the group who was there to support her.

It was a nightmare where the police had to intervene. But still, she knew the number of their supporters grew bigger day by day.

Naturally, she got the most questions from fans and non-fans alike. But she managed to keep her mouth and ears closed and smile as she left the questions unanswered.

Chaeyoung was watching Lisa, worrying her lower lip once more. Her poor lips were the ones taking the whole toll. There were many times where she accidentally broke her lip and couldn't eat hot or spicy or salty or sour things—which made up the 98% of the things she liked.

"I'm fine," Lisa smiled weakly but openly this time.

"We all told you they were going to come around," Jisoo gently smiled at her.

"Yeah," Chaeyoung reached and squeezed her hand. "It'll all be okay now."

"They are like," Jennie glanced at her phone again. "Almost 14K people. And this is just one site."

"But the article was about Moonshot," Lisa sighed. "Can you imagine the comments and all the other things once we start promoting?"

"It'll be fine," Jisoo waved her hand in a dismissive manner. "We just stay strong. Like Min Yoongi said, as long as we all stand together, they have to accept it one way or another."

"Well we better get to work then," Chaeyoung hot her fist on her knee as she got up from the ground. "Come on, tons of rehearsals to do."

Groaning, the older two girls made moves to stand up and Lisa, with a true smile, got up quickly.

They were at the practise room for the last rehearsals of their comeback, it was right around the corner. They had waited so long for this—both them and fans alike. So Lisa wanted everything to be perfect.

"It will be," Yoongi assured her on the phone that evening with a gummy smile. They were video calling like they had always done during the time they couldn't meet.

"I just don't want to ruin it," Lisa looked down, picking at the seams of her blanket.

"Baby look at me."

Reluctantly, she raised her eyes to him.

"We've done nothing wrong. And now things got better than it was before. Most of the people are sick of those ones who still whine and bitch about us. They're getting used to the reality now."

He was using that calm and serious tone that Lisa was familiar with. He would use it whenever he wanted to reassure her or explain things to her—sometimes to trick her into believing things that aren't real, too.

"It'll be so awkward since we're going to promote at the same time," Lisa chuckled. "The tv shows will want us to guest on as a couple. Like Hyuna and E-Dawn."

"We can do it if you want," Yoongi shrugged. "I'm okay with everything now. As long as you're comfortable, anything's fine by me."

Lisa stared at him, "Aren't you a bit too relaxed, oppa?"

Then he laughed, "I've waited for almost six years for this. I'm just relieved now. I can't wait to hold you in front of other people, too—"

She quickly raised her hands in a stopping motion, "Woah woah, stop there. Let's just start with appearing side by side, hm?"

"Boring," Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"Oppa!" Lisa frowned, recognising that roll. "Don't ever think about catching me off-guard. PDA is still restricted. There'll be cameras."

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said nonchalantly, suddenly he was inspecting his nails with a growing interest.

"Min Yoongi!!!"

"I suddenly can't read baby, sorry."

"This is a verbal conversation."
