Valarie screamed and kicked as two pig-men dragged her. She twisted her arms and kicked, wincing in pain as subtle sharp pain cut her arm. She was soon brought to an intersection of the tunnels, were pig-men walked a line of people. Among them was Frank.
"Frank!" She threw her arms around his shoulders, overjoyed the boy was alive. "You're alright." She whispered as they were shoved along. "For now." He mumbled as they were grouped with other people. He grasped her upper left arm, making a effort to remain close to someone he knows.
Suddenly, they were grouped near a wall. "What are they doing?" Frank asked as Valarie stood before him. The pigs began squealing frantically.
"Silence! Silence!" A robotic voice instructed. "You will form a line." It instructed, as the pig-men began to shove the humans to form a line.
"Just do as it says!" Valarie cried when they began to resist. Finally, the source of the voice was revealed. A tin can, with a long eye stalk and two protrusions resembling plungers and a whisk rolled by. Valarie would've laughed if she hadn't of been frightened by the pig-men.
"The female human is wise. Obey." It boomed as a second one came along.
"These specimen are strong. They will help Dalek cause." It said to the other. Valarie frowned; she had heard Dalek before. As she recalled from the Doctor's story, they destroyed Gallifrey.
"What is the status of the final experiment?"
"The energy extraction has been completed. The dalenanium is in place."
"Then I will place the prisoners for selection." It wheeled to a man, sticking the plunger protrusion to the mans face. It read for a moment, before announcing "Low intelligence. He will become a pig slave."
"Are you calling me stupid?!" The man boomed, before being dragged off by the other pig slaves. They continued to scan, as Frank was next. "Superior intelligence."
It wheeled to Valarie, who gulped as it stuck the protrusion right before her face. "Superior intelligence; this one will be part of the final experiment."
"You can't experiment on me! Not on anyone! This is cruel!" She shouted at it. "It's inhuman!" She shouted in rage at it
"Daleks are not human." It informed her.
"Take those of superior intelligence to the geneticist lab." It instructed; taking Frank, Valarie and one other man along.
Suddenly, Valarie felt a presence on her back. "Just keep walking." The Doctor's voice whispered. Martha trailed behind him. Valarie cut her eyes to him, and sighed in relief. "I'm so glad you are here." She smiled.
"Yeah, well, you can kiss me later."
"I may take you up on that." She joked.
————
The lab was large, full of chunky machines. Only four Daleks there were; one was carbon black and spitting smoke. "I don't exactly want to be noticed, ask them what's going on." The Doctor whispered to Valarie. She gulped, and stepped forward.
"I demand to know what's going on. Status report. What is the final experiment?"
"You, will bear witness."
"To what?"
"To a new age. We are the only four Daleks in existence. So the species must evolve for life outside the shell. The children of Skaro must walk again!" The Dalek backed away from her, as the black Dalek seemed to power down.
With a hiss, it's shell opened. It released something awful. "What is it?" Martha whispered.

It stood; if was built like a human, but wasn't in any shape of the word. Rather then a head, with hair and eyes, it had a single eye. No hair but what looked like an exposed brain, and it's jaw was and hands wrapped in more crocodile like neon skin. It looked slimy, but wore a sharp suit. It spoke it's first words as it opened its single eye.
"I, am a human Dalek. I, am your future."
Valarie was appalled by it. She was horrified by what exactly it meant by. 'I am your future.' Soon enough, it confirmed her worst fears.
"These, humans, will become like me. Prepare them for habernitzation." It commanded, still adjusting to speech and movement. The pig-slaves wasted no time, two coming to each of the three noticed humans and grabbing them. "Paws off!" Valarie shouted, as they began to drag her.
Old music began to play; a up beat, light hearted tune. They stopped, confused to the where the source was. "What is that sound?" It yelled, frightened by the music.
"Ah, well, that would be me." The Doctor emerged from behind a group, with a old radio in hand. He turned it off and set it down.
"Surprise, ah, boo, etc. "
"Doctor." It hissed.
"The enemy of the Daleks!"
"Exterminate!"
"Wait!" It halted their advances, the Doctor somehow remaining calm surrounds by them. He approached the human-Dalek quickly. "Well then." He falsely gawked.
"A new form of Dalek! Very, very clever." He observed everything about it he could.
"The cult of Skaro escaped your slaughter!" It hissed. Your. Valarie was still being held by the slaves, eyeing the Doctor and Martha; whom had hung back from the Daleks and more towards the people.
"How did you end up in nineteen-thirty?" He asked. "Emergency temporal shift." Valarie noticed it seemed to have some difficulty speaking, as it drew out random words and halted at random points in the phrase.
"Oh." He laughed. "That must've roasted your power cells, eh?" He turned to get a good look at each Dalek.
"Some war. Four Daleks, gonna conquer the world." He teased, now standing back to observe the lab.
"But instead you're sulking away in the dark. Experimenting. All of which resulted in you." He now directed his speech to the human-Daleks hybrid.
"I am Dalek, in human form!" It stumbled towards him; short tendrils of the side of its head wriggling.
"But what does it feel like?" He asked, now walking right back into its face. "You can talk to me, Dalek-Sec. That is your name right? Dalek-Sec?" He asked. It looked at him with a weary eye.
"You've got a name, a mind of your own. Tell me what you are thinking right now."
"I, feel," He shyed away, not being able to face them, "humanity."
"I feel everything we wanted from man-kind. Which is, ambition," Dalek-Sec turned to face the Doctor now, now bold with his words. ", hatred, aggression, and war. Such war."
"No, that's not what humanity is." The Doctor shook his head.
"But when you look at the heart of this species, it's so very dark. Very, Dalek." Valarie was taken back, now truly wondering if humans were dark at heart. No, they couldn't be. She couldn't recall anyone that craved war like the Daleks seemed too. But, humanity had wars that seemed to only end with tearing the world inside out.

"Alright then!" The Doctor turned to the robotic Daleks. "What is it you're trying to achieve here? With this final experiment, eh? Nothing! Because I could show you here, with this simple radio." He patted the radio.
"What is that device?" One Dalek asked.
"Well, it plays music. You can dance to it, sing to it, fall in love to it." He made sure to peer down one of their eyestalks when he said that. "Unles you're a Dalek of course, then it's just noise!" He pointed the sonic screwdriver at it, and suddenly the radio sounded as if it was broken. It sounded like a loud, broken siren mixed with ringing. The Daleks and slaves began to scream; grabbing at their ears if they had any. "Run!" The Doctor shouted.
The small band of humans immediately fled, the timelord right with them. They ran through the sewers as they came, lungs burning and adrenaline rushing. They twisted and turned corners, as no doubt the slaves and Daleks were hunting now.
They reached the ladder; the Dalek staying at the base. First up was Tallulah, who they had meet at the entrance. Then was a man whom they didn't know, Frank, Martha, and Valarie. The Doctor ascended after her, and sealed the manhole tight.
————
With the plan now obvious, the Doctor had retreated to Hooverville. He came to warn Solum of the Daleks and their plan. Near a fire pit, Martha and Valarie sat hip to hip. In the chaos of being abducted by pig-slaves, Valarie hadn't even noticed or felt the cut in her upper arm. It was a deep, nasty gash.
Martha wrapped white bandages a woman kindly donated, worried it was from a pipe or such.
"Don't worry about it. It had to have been from one of those pigs. They weren't exactly gentle." She sighed, her jean coat her favorite, might she add, in her lap. In the right arm there was a tear, and the denim around it soaked red. She stood once Martha was done, and tied the jacket around her waist. The Doctor turned to look at them; his eyes lingering on the bandage which already had a faint pink spot from the slash.
Her eyes darted across the fire to the Doctor, who looked away quickly. Her eyes flickered between the ground and him, before a whistle jolted her to reality.
"They're coming!" A man came bellowing. "Monsters!" He warned. "It's started." The Doctor gravely warmed as women screamed. Men began to arm themselves. Eventually there was a large group in the middle; the outer rim full of men with guns. In the center were women and the Doctor. All around the armed men, giant squealing was heard.
"Just hold them off until daylight!" Martha found that not to be a hard task, considering the opposition was unarmed pig-hybrids. The Doctor looked to the sky. "Oh, Martha." He gravely announced.
"They're just the foot soldiers."
Eyes flew to the sky. "You're kidding me." Valarie gawked; her breath evident in the cold fall hair. There, hovering above, were Daleks. Valarie instinctively squeezed closer to her friends, pressing her body in front of theirs.
"What in the world-" Solum began.
"It's the devil! The devil in the sky. It's damnation." One man's voice cracked. Valarie had to take a moment to remember the concept of robots had not became a thing yet, as her immediate thought upon seeing the Daleks for the first time was "a robot with a plunger?".
"Oh yeah? We will see about that!" Frank spat, taking a shot at the dalek. The shotgun spray simply bounced off its meta shell; not even a dent in its.
"There's more then one." Valarie gulped, seeing the other three come hovering.
And in a instant, explosions popped around them. No one left the circle but cowered together. Frank covered Valarie and Martha's bodies with his own. People screamed all around, as explosions rocked the camp site and killed those who weren't in the circle. But to Valarie's amazement, the Doctor stood tall. Valarie cowered again from his image when a explosion sent dirt over the group. She was afraid.
"The humans will surrender!"
"Leave them alone! They haven't done anything!" The Doctor cried. Everyone began to stand hesitantly, still cowering together in fear of what they don't understand. Suddenly, Solum came forward.
"Solum!" The Doctor our an arm out before him, taking notice in the firmness of his grip on the gun in hand.
"I'm addressing the Daleks. From what I hear, you're outcast too!" He began to lecture. "Solum, don't." The Doctor urged. "This is my township, you will respect my authority." He replied, and gently shoved him back. "Let me try." He mumbled. He turned to the Daleks, and stepped forward with open arms. He set his gun down in a sign of peace.
"Daleks, ain't we the same? See, I just discovered this past day, that God's universe is ten thousand times the size I thought it was! And it scares me, yeah it scares me Alright." Valarie couldn't help but agree with that; she had discovered al those little stories as a child were true; but she also realized the darkness within them was very real.
"But surely it's got to give me hope! Hope that maybe together we can make a better tomorrow! So I beg you, now, if you have any compassion in your hearts, then you'll meet with us and stop this fight! Well, what do you say?" It was a touching moment. Silence fell, besides the crackling of the fires the Daleks has started. Then, an answer came.
A blue bolt struck Solum; his body being electrified were it stood. His skeleton was visible for a brief second; like an x-ray machine had zapped him. He walked in pain, as did the entire group of people scream also. Solum collapses to the earth; dead.
"They shot him on the spot! No thought, no nothing!" Valarie gasped in a mixture of anger and shock. Frank had ran to Solum's body, and began to cry in dots of rage and sorrow. "Have you no mercy!" Valarie screamed, seeing red in the senseless death. Tallulah and Valarie wrapped arms around her waist as she tried to go towards the Daleks in her rage; clearly not thinking straight.
"Alright! My turn!" The Doctor walked to where Solum once stood. "Kill me! Kill me if it will stop you killing these people!"
"I will be the destroyer of our greatest enemy!" The Dalek seemed pleased with the idea; the idea of finishing the Time Lords once and for all. Meaning no one to stop their rampage and attempts to control the human race.
"Then do it! Do it! Just do it!" He beat against his own chest; eyes full of hatred so deep it sent chills down those who saw its spine.
"I do not understand. It is the Doctor!" The Dalek suddenly argued, as of hearing someone else speak. Everyone on the ground froze. "The urge to kill is too strong!" It continued. "I don't understand." Valarie mumbled.
"I, obey." It said in defeat. "You will follow." It instructed the Doctor. "No." Valarie cried from Martha and Tallulah's grip. "Doctor, don't go." She said more softly when he turned to look at her.
"I got to go. They just changed their minds; Daleks never change their minds!" He replied.
"But what about us?" Martha asked. The Doctor looked back to the Dalek, and the surrounding ones.
"If I go, you spare everyone here!" He ordered. The Dalek agreed in defeat. "Humans will be spared if the Doctor follows."
Valarie sprung from her position, coming to his side. Martha followed her quickly. "I'm coming with you."
"Stay here. People are hurt; help them." He instructed them, before walking away. He then turned back, and leaned towards Valarie. He took her hands between his.
"Oh, and can I say, thank you very much." He winked, before retracting his hands and walking away. When Valarie looked to her hands, he had slipped a fold of leather with a blank piece of paper into her hands. Psychic paper. She looked at it questionably, knowing he had a bigger plan in mind.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.

Author's Note: - This story will contain litrpg elements like Titles, Skills, and Levels. - MC will not become instantly powerful.
