Your eyes widened once you were awake and realised it was Saturday! That meant there was no school and you got to spend the day out with your dad. You jumped up and ran to your wardrobe and pulled out an outfit you thought was nice and put it on. You had a light pink t-shirt with a white heart in the middle and a pair of blue jeans and you pulled a black hoodie with a rose outline on it and put it on, not noticing you put it on backwards. You then ran out your room and down the hall to your parents room you could heard their voices clearer once you opened the door.
"Daddy?! I'm ready to go! Are you ready yet daddy?!" You said loudly, bouncing up and down on your toes. Your mum looked at you sympathetically and then back at your dad who coughed.
"I'm so sorry baby girl, we can't Today because I'm sick. Maybe we can go next week?" He said hoarsely and you furrowed your eyebrows and pouted.
"No daddy. I wanna go today."
"Y/n, come on, let's let daddy get some rest and we can go do something fun downstairs, yeah?" Your mum said, taking your hand and guiding you out the room.
"But mummy! He promised we'd go do something fun today! Why'd he lie?!" You shouted as you walked away from the room.
"Daddy really wanted to take you out today y/n, but he woke up sick. He didn't want to be sick today, he really didn't so you have to be nice to him and help him get better, okay?"
"Okay mummy."
"Now why don't we go watch a film downstairs" you agreed and you went downstairs and watched Aladdin. By the end your mum had dozed off and you quietly snuck upstairs and into your parents room. You closed the door quietly making sure not to wake your dad and then tiptoed to the bed and climbed in and curled up next to your dad who sighed and pulled you close. You kissed his cheek and then got comfy and fell asleep.
