Shawn's POV:
I was in the studio with Niall, working on our new song together, when my phone rang. I saw my daughters school flash on the screen and quickly answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Mr Mendes?"
"Yes this is"
"I'm the nurse from y/n's school, she says she's got a tummy ache and a bad head and only her daddy knows how to make it better"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Will you be able to pick her up?"
"Yeah, okay, thanks, bye"
I hung up and turned to Niall,
"Sorry man, I've gotta go pick my 'sick' daughter up."
"No worries, hey I'll come with and we can watch the game later"
"Alright, let's go"
We pulled up at the school and I got out and went to the office, I signed her out and they went to get her. Once we said goodbye to the people at the reception, I took her backpack and walked her out. I strapped her in and climbed in the drivers seat of my jeep.
"Can we turn the music on daddy?"
"Hey,aren't you sick little miss?" Niall said and she gasped.
"Uncle Niall!"
"Y/n I thought you were sick"
She was silent and I knew she lied about being sick
"Baby, why'd you lie? Why'd you say you were sick if your not?"
"I missed you and I thought mummy came back from visiting gran and grandpa today"
"She's coming tomorrow which is a Saturday darling, but You can't do this anymore,okay? You can only come home from school if you get hurt or you really are sick"
"Okay, I'm sorry daddy"
"It's okay"
"So what were you doing before?"
"We were working on a song" Niall replied.
"What are you gonna do now?"
"Watch the game and play with you"
Later that evening you fell asleep on the sofa with a slice of pizza in your hand while your dad and Niall finished watching the game.
