"Mommy?" Olivia called out, peeking inside her mom's bedroom.

Y/N turned her head to her daughter's direction and she smiles, "Yes, my love?" She asked, "Come here."

Olivia smiles and ran towards her mom's bed, jumping on it and cuddling with her mom. "Can I sleep here with you tonight, mommy?" She asked.

Scarlett and Rose went home an hour ago. Both parents were glad that their kids aren't the types of kids that throw tantrums whenever their friends need to go home. It saves a lot of energy and time.

Y/N smiles and kissed Olivia's head, "Of course, Livie. But are you okay?" She asked, she wants to make sure that her daughter is always fine.

Olivia giggled while nodding her head. "I am more than okay, mommy! I'm super happy!" She said and hugging her mom tighter.

"Oh, really?" Y/N asked, chuckling.

"Yes, mommy!" Olivia answered, "I'm just so happy that you're friends with Mama Scarly now! Life is better with friends! But only with good friends and Mama Scarly and Rosie are good friends!" She said.

Y/N smiles, nodding her head. "Mhm, yes, they are good friends, baby. And I am glad that I gave Scarly a chance to be friends with me." She said.

Olivia sat on her mom's lap, "Mommy, why don't you like people?" She asked.

Oh. Y/N thought, Olivia never really asked that kind of questions before. She sighs and smiles a little, "Well, it's not that mommy doesn't like people. I'm just being careful, something... um, something bad happened with an old... friend before, that's why I'm extra careful now. I want us to be safe, I want you to be safe. Remember what mommy told you before? Don't give your trust so easily and choose your friends wisely because we'll never know what kind of person they might be. It's better to be careful than to get betrayed later on."

Olivia nodded her head. "Okay, mommy. I remember. I'm sorry if your old friend did something wrong to you, mommy. Don't worry, I will protect you, mommy! No one can hurt you! As long as Olivia L/N is here, no one can ever hurt my mommy!" She said, hugging her mom.

Y/N smiles, sighing and hugging Olivia back. "I love you, Olivia. You're my life." She said.

"You're my life too, mommy! Don't ever leave me, okay?" Olivia said and pulled away from the hug to look at her mom. "Because I won't ever make it if you leave me, mommy."

"Livie," Y/N said in a small voice, "Mommy will never leave you! When I gave birth to you, I just know that my mission in life was changed. I'm your mother and I will always be here for you, I will always protect you. I will always love you." She said, getting a bit emotional.

Olivia will always be her life, she died when that night happened. But when she gave birth to Olivia, when she heard her crying for the first time, her heart felt warm. Something she lost along with everything else that night. That little girl saved her.

And Y/N couldn't hate Olivia, never. She may be the result of her nightmare, but she knows that it wasn't her daughter's fault. Olivia didn't ask to be born, and Y/N didn't ask to become a mother at that time, but it happened anyway. It happened. And she needed to face her reality. She wasn't living just for herself anymore. She had a fetus growing inside her when she woke up.

And even though what happened to her was fucked up, Y/N never regrets choosing Olivia. Keeping Olivia saved her life. It was the best decision she'd ever made. Yes, it still hurts, but Olivia is her medicine. However, she knows that in order for her to fully heal, she needs to become her own medicine. She needs to help herself. And she will.

She's doing it, actually. Slowly, yes, but it doesn't matter. If she needs to take baby steps, she will. As long as there's progress.

She's thankful for Scarlett, though; the actress has been a great help. Y/N can talk to Scarlett about anything, and that's a huge weight being lifted off of her shoulders. She just loves the feeling of Scarlett around her and she always feels so safe and heard. Besides, when she talked to Scarlett about what happened to her, that's when she started to really give herself a chance to heal. And she's also doing it for her dad. She knows her dad left the world full of concern for her and Olivia. She wants to be better not only for herself but also for the people she loves.

"I love you, mommy." Olivia whispered, yawning.

Y/N smiles, hugging Olivia closer. She kissed her daughter's head. "I love you, sweetheart. Mommy got you."
