I was a journalist for Australian Provincial Newspapers (APN) before working in public relations and marketing for both the public and private sectors both in Australia and overseas.

I have worked in a male dominated environments (eg. within the oil and gas industry) and in global management teams. I see more strong, powerful women leaders in these industries.

I had wonderful support from great mentors who helped push my career, where I was propelled into demanding roles at a young age. They taught me to focus on my goals and to not give up.

I wrote chapter 12 in Leadership in the Australian Context: Case Studies in Leadership (Dalglish and Evans, 2007), a non-fiction book edited by my supervisors during my graduate school days.
