You ran behind him, following him. You panted as you both ran. This creature was fast- even with the small legs of his. He soon ran out of the forest. He licked the spoon over and over again. Where was he going?
You two ran, then saw salad fingers house. He made the squealing sound. He sounded happy. Possibly he knew salad finger? He ran up to the door, then knocked on it. You where afew feet behind the creature. He seemed unaware of your presence. The door handle turned, and opened alittle. You saw salad fingers eye, then he quickly closed his door. "Y-y-your not invited to be here, lit-little boy," He fearfully said.
The creature growled, then knocked again. Salad ignored him. He continued knocking, and salad fingers opened the door again, but just alittle bit. The boy held up the spoon. Salad fingers looked at it, then murmured something quietly. He opened the door wider. "mmmm... this is my old spoon.. stolen from a dog quite awhile ago. It was stolen during.." he spoke so quietly, it was almost impossible to make out his words. "Picnic... please." He said. A dog? But it was a crow that gave it to you.
Salad fingers reached his three fingers out towards the rusty spoon, then the boy pulled it away- the boy? You questioned yourself. How did you know it was a boy? You looked down, mighty confused. You shook it off, then looked back up at the two. The b- the creature made its sound, and salad crumpled up his face. "Fine.. you may join u-us for dinner.." salad finger said. He seemed quite.. scared of the creature.
He backed away from the door, and the b-creature went in. Salad fingers looked back at you. "Y-you too, Landry Parker." He said. You slowly walked into the house. He fiddled his fingers and looked down, like he regret letting the boy in. "Y-you May go sit at the table, l-l-little boy.." he said as he shut the door. "I'm still waiting for Majory to arrive." The boy breathed heavily as he stared at salad fingers.

Then, he went up to salad fingers, and grabbed his hand? "He...her..mm..." he stuttered, uncomfortably. The boy kids his fingers. "Uhm.." he pulled his hand away, then backed against the wall. The boy looked down at the spoon he held, then put it in salad fingers hand. He smiled. "Er, mm..." salad stuttered. He held the spoon, then seemed abit more relaxed. The boy walked away from salad fingers into the kitchen. You followed. The boy sat down at one of the seats, and you did too. Did this boy love salad fingers? You wondered.
Someone knocked the door. Salad fingers opened it and greeted someone, then walked into the kitchen with one of his finger puppets on his first finger. "Ah, just in time Majory." He put Majory at one of the seat, trying to avoid the boy. Salad walked to his stove, grabbed plates and the food. He set them down at all our seats. "Where's Hubert?" You asked salad finger. "Oh, Mr. Hubert was busy. He cannot join us for tonight's dish." He exclaimed. "Oh.."
He slid cooked, solid sand on each of our plates. He then sat down, at the seat farthest away from the little boy. The boy made a squeaking noise that hurt your ears. Thank you honeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..... words rung in your head once again. "Uhm... no-no problem.." salad replied to the boy. Strange.. that seemed like a proper answer to the voices in your head... wait a minute...
Then, out of no where, the boy jumped out of his seat and angrily jumped onto you. "AHG-" You shouted.

Synopsis will undergo if it can be bettered. ------ Tags and content warnings are mainly to give me creative freedom later on. This is my first novel ever, and English isn’t my native language, so please spare me, my lord/ladies. Any feedback is more than welcome with a bucketful of thanks.
