《Princess Of The Underworld》07| Boring 101

I sighed, mindlessly flicking the pen in my hand. After the fail to get the wand yesterday we were forced to come up with a new plan, and in the meantime we had to go to class.

We were currently in Remedial Goodness 101, a class with only five people, which were sadly us.

At the front of the room, the Fairy Godmother asked a question, "Okay, someone hands you a crying baby do you A) curse it, B) lock it in a tower, C) give it a bottle, or D) carve out his heart?" I knew which one I would pick.

The Godmother called on Evie, who had her hand raised, "Um...what was the second one?"

"You give it a bottle." I mumbled, The Fairy Godmother smiled at me.

"Correct again, Hadey." She practically sang, before turning back to the chalkboard.

"Wow girl, you're on fire!" Carlos told me from across the aisle.

I smirked at him, letting my eyes go electric blue for a second, "You just pick the one that wouldn't make you laugh."

All the others nodded and hummed in realization.

"That makes so much sense!" Evie told me from across Mal, I smirked at her just as a scrawny looking girl nervously came into the room.

As she passed by our table she let out a small yelp in fear, wow. She must be really afraid of us, like everyone else in this school.

"Oh, hello dear." The Fairy Godmother greeted the girl who only quickly nodded.

"Hi. I just need you to sign this, it's for early dismissal for coronation." The girl shakily passed the Godmother a clipboard.

"I hope everyone remembers my daughter, Jane." The Fairy Godmother said, as she finished signing. I looked the girl up and down, I could see a slight resemblance.

"Mom, no!" Jane squeaked, looking at us as though we were about to pounce on her.

The Fairy Godmother patted her shoulder, "It's okay. Jane, this is everyone."

"Hi." Jane said quickly, not looking at any if us, "That's okay; don't mind me, as you were." She then practically sprinted down the aisle and out the door, Mal's eyes following her as she left.

Mal looked at me with a mischievous glint in her eye. She had a plan.

The Fairy Godmother cleared her throat before continuing, "You find a vial of poison, do you A) put it in the king's wine, B) paint it on an apple," Evie giggled at the second option, "Or C) turn it over to proper authorities?"

Everyone hands except mine and Mal's (who was silently plotting) put their hands in the air, all seemingly having the answer.

Jay quickly pulled Carlos' hand down, much to the shorter boy's annoyance.

Once the Godmother called on him, Jay answered, "C) turn it over to the authorities."

"I was gonna say that!" Carlos whined.

"Oh, really?" Jay asked as he messed with Carlos' hair, pinning him to the table. I watched, amused as how this would play out.

"Boys! Boys!" The Fairy Godmother called out, whacking her stick on the board, "I encourage you to use that energy on the tourney field."

"Oh no-no, no, that's okay." Carlos argued, "Whatever that is we don't-"

"That's not up for debate. Tryouts are this afternoon on the field. I think it will be great for you." The Godmother chirped as the two boys sank down in their seats, "Go Knights!"
