"Laxus! I know that deep down you still care! Do you really want to do this? Laxus!" Dealana screamed.
"Fairy Law." and it was cast. A pillar of light rose in the cloudy sky and a large magic circle appeared over the Cathedral before the light flooded through all of Magnolia.

"I finally surpassed the old man." Laxus said, not realizing yet that his spell didn't work in the way he had hoped. The smoke cleared but the only damage done to Dealana, Natsu, Gajeel, and Levy was the incessant smoke in their lungs bringing them to cough. "What the...no way. Impossible! How in the hell are you all still alive?" he demanded.
It was Freed who supplied the answer. Though as much as he wanted to, Laxus couldn't see his guild, his family, or his hometown as enemies. His heart betrayed him. Laxus didn't like that answer, and Freed tried to convince him that it had gone on long enough.
"Let the old man die for all I care." Laxus snapped reverting back into his dragon slayer magic, "He's nothing to me! He may be family, but I'm stronger!" he yelled causing lightning to burst up from the ground and wreck even more of the Cathedral's floor. Gajeel had moved in front of Levy protectively as the lightning magic was quite strong.
"Such power." Freed gasped.
"Just who do you think you are? You're not stronger than Gramps." Dealana shouted, "You couldn't pull off Fairy Law! You're no better than the rest of us, even if you are his grandson! Blood ties don't matter! Everyone in the whole damn guild is supposed to be considered family!" she screamed at him.
"That's just a lie! Blood ties do matter!"Laxus shouted back lightning surrounding his body.
"You've been a member long enough to know better than that. If you think that blood ties makes you above everyone else in the guild...you're wrong!" Dealana roared throwing a stormy punch.
"And you're dead!" Laxus met the fiery punch with his own lightning covered one. The two met and the battle was taken into the sky, a flurry of clouded ever-changing storm and lightning clashed over and over again. "How dare you challenge me?"
"I'm going to stop you, Laxus! I won't let you ruin the life you gave to me! I refuse to let Fairy Tail fall into your hands!" Freed, Gajeel, Natsu, and Levy watched from the ground, "It's our home. There's no way in hell I'm going to let you destroy it!" The two continued throwing punches until Dealana was smacked like a fly into a wall that broke and crumbled upon impact. Laxus didn't think twice before smashing her further down the building's wall giving her no time to recover, not even before he picked her up and kicked her across the roof.
"Why won't you just die!?" Dealana didn't stop and dug her hands into the roof to slow her movements before landing with an 'oof' on her stomach, "Face it already. It's over." Laxus told her.
By now, many of the townspeople were watching the fight as the destrucion of the Cathedral gained a lot of attention. From farther away, the recovering members of Fairy Tail watched and wished Dealana strength to keep fighting. "Why don't I just die? Why don't I just die?" Dealana repeated the question, "Because you saved me back then. So, why don't you just give up the fight?" Dealana said pushing herself up with her hands, "Because the guild doesn't belong to you. It never will!"

"Oh, yeah?" Laxus questioned, "Lightning Dragon Demolition Fist!" Laxus shot a raging bolt of lightning from his fist and it flashed toward Dealana but she only ate it and let it boost her drained power,
"You may not think of me this way anymore, but Laxus, even though we've fought and grown apart, I'll always see you as my older brother, my family! That will never change!" She said standing up and surprising Laxus.
"No way. She can still fight?" Freed questioned in disbelief.
"Dealana..." Natsu murmured, "be careful."
"You're not my family. You never have been and never will be. That was your last mistake, you pathetic runt!" Laxus said raising his fist in the air, a large magic seal appearing, "Now, I'm gonna obliterate you!"
"That spell––" Freed gasped, "Don't do it! That much magic energy could kill her even if she could consume it!"
Laxus ignored the warning and laughed while Dealana stared at him, breathing heavily and her body scratched up in places despite her scaled armor. She hadn't even noticed that Lisanna's bracelet was long gone.
"Lightning Dragon Heavenward Halberd!" As it shot toward her, Dealana stumbled to her knees almost willing to accept it. The spell was about to hit, but as luck for Fairy Tail's Tempest would have it, Gajeel leapt up and turned his arm into iron drawing the lightning to him, rather than Dealana. The force sent him backwards and unable to stop himself from falling from the roof.
"Gajeel!" Levy exclaimed in worry.
"What the...What happened?" Freed questioned, "Did he used himself as a lightning rod?"
"Get him!" Gajeel managed to yell at the storm dragon slayer, whose hair thrashed about in the air as she screamed with newfound determination. The ground trembled and quaked. The sky darkened almost instantly with rumbling clouds. The temperature rose and fell to such high peaks and chilling winds all within seconds, constantly changing. The wind blew with such ferocity it was hard to stay standing or even breathe.
"Damn. Still alive?" Laxus muttered looking at the girl with wide eyes.
"Storm Dragon..." Dealana began while Laxus charged and they met in the middle, "Fury Claw! Blizzard Talon! Wing Attack! Cyclone Pulse! Raging Diasters!" Unleashing a series of her magical attacks taught to her by Arashi, Dealana beat down Laxus, leaving Levy, Freed, and Natsu to watch in awe.
"She's incredible. Her magic is so powerful, it's almost like she's the storm itself, able to break through a dragon's scales and shatter its spirit." Levy breathed as Dealana prepared one last spell.
"Dragon Slayer Secret Arts..." Freed trailed off recognizing her actions. It was different from the one she used against Aria, this one was much even more powerful.
"Storm Dragon Tempest Cloudburst!" Laxus groaned and screamed as the massive attack of combined stormy elements sent him flying into the air to his ultimate defeat. The lightning mage hit the roof again with a dull thud, unconscious.
"She did it." Freed gaped.
Natsu smirked, "She beat Laxus." Dealana stood with labored breathing, low magic energy, a ruined dress, but she was victorious. The ultimate victor of the Battle of Fairy Tail. She stumbled forward, her hair calming down as her dragon force faded leaving her to look worse than ever, with her bleed gash along her back once again opened before she collapsed, her body wracking in sobs as she kneeled beside Laxus, her head resting on his chest.
"Laxus," she choked out, "you total bastard!" she pounded a weak fist on his chest while Natsu approached kneeling down also exhausted from everything. He put a hand on her shoulder while she continued to cry, "E-Even after a-all this...I still c-can't help but see h-him as the older brother that p-promised to never l-let anything happen t-to me..." she continued to let her tears fall before the pain and overwhelming side effects of overusing her magic washed over her like a typhoon. The poor girl was out almost instantly, tears still pouring down her face as she wept over the defeated form of the one who first brought her to Fairy Tail.

"Thanks to Porlyusica's help, the master's going to pull through just fine. So don't worry. He'll be back to work in no time." Erza announced to the guild as they were mostly recovered and gathered in the guild hall. They all cheered in celebration.
"Thank goodness." Lucy smiled, "I gotta admit, I was getting a little worried."
"Aw, come on. It'll take more than that to make Gramps kick the bucket." Gray told her as he sat nearby.
"Well, he isn't as young as he used to be, so any added stress to his heart could significantly affect his health." Erza addressed, "Let's be on our best behavior, okay?"
Everyone yelled.
"I don't know if it's such a good idea to do the Fantasia Parade after everything that's happened." Lucy admitted.
"But the master wants us to do it. Besides, it's the perfect way to cheer everyone up after all that mess." Mira piped up.
Behind her stood Elfman, who'd taken to carrying Dealana around to make sure she wouldn't leave them and do something so reckless again. The sky-blunette's torso was wrapped in bandages under a maroon sleeveless hoodie and her black shorts. She would gain yet another scar from the unstable spell she cast during her fight with Bickslow, but the latter would also have a scar so she figured they would be even. Along with a bandages around her forehead and blue eye, she was prone to drifting in an out of consciousness, but she refused to stay in the infirmary, hence Elfman offering to carry her around. He had no objections to it, but he refused to let anyone else carry Dealana in fear of them being idiots and not man enough to not drop her...or so he claims.
"Juvia can't wait to see the Fantasia Parade!"
"Yeah?" Gray said before Cana spoke up, nudging the water mage.
"You're gonna be in it with us, little lady." Juvia gasped in surprise and admitted to not thinking she would seeing as she was still a new member.
"Does that mean I'm gonna be in it, too?" Lucy asked.
"Well, yeah. We need all the people we can get, especially since we're not gonna be able to use those two." Gray said jabbing a thumb in the direction of tremendously bandaged up Natsu and Gajeel.
"Oh, yeah." Lucy realized. Natsu wasn't even able to speak, but Gajeel was somehow able to interpret his muffled speech. Dealana could too if she wasn't still out of it after eating far too much lightning.
'It's good to see everyone getting along again,' Erza thought to herself as she looked around the happily chattering guild hall, 'especially after we were forced to fight against one another.' The chatter ceased when the sound of footfalls on the wooden floor came from the entrance. A bandaged Laxus entered the guild hall.
"Laxus?" Macao questioned. Dealana shifted a little to see what he would do from where she convinced Elfman to set her down on one of the tables. The male Strauss taking a protective step in front of her.
"What do you want?" Wakaba wondered.
"Where's the old man?" Laxus asked. Protest arose and yelling began telling the blonde to get out and leave.
"Guys, stop it." Levy tried to intervene.
"Quiet, everyone." Erza demanded, causing everyone to shut up as she looked to Laxus for a moment, "The master's in the infirmary." she revealed. Laxus walked by Erza, neither of them saying anything more. Many of the guild looked wary of anything Laxus might try, before Natsu broke the silence with indecipherable muffled shouts. He slid in front of the lightning mage.
"Natsu." Laxus addressed, and they stared each other down before Natsu pointed a finger at him with his good hand and angrily shouted at him. His words still completely muffled, causing everyone to pale and sweatdrop, until Gajeel translated.
"He said, 'Next time, he ain't gonna let Dealana be the one to take him down. It'll just be me and you, face to face, and I swear, I ain't gonna lose to you again,' or something."
"Wait a second. I thought you guys and Dealana beat him." Lucy said confused.
"Not even close." Dealana muttered not taking her good eye off of Laxus. Unlike most would expect, she didn't hold any more anger directed at Laxus. Instead she looked at him with slight pity, sadness, and longing. But she knew their relationship would never be the same after all that happened.
"I'd say it was more like a draw." Gajeel agreed.
"Huh?" Lucy's confusion only grew.
"Look at us." Dealana told her, "I used the Thunder Palace to achieve temporary access to Dragon Force. I pushed my limits and I'm a mummy."
"If he had been around during the Phantom battle," Gajeel stated, "I'd be 6 feet under right now." he admitted while Laxus walked passed Natsu who still remained standing with his finger now pointed at no one. When he turned with more muffled yelling, Laxus only waved a hand without looking back, and it seemed to have some kind of emotional effect on Natsu.
Dealana shook her head, fighting a small smile before Laxus paused at the infirmary door, he tossed something through the air in Dealana's direction and she caught it in her bandaged hands waiting until Laxus was meeting with Gramps to find out what he threw.
"Shows over, guys." Erza told them, "Let's get ready for the Fantasia Parade." she announced and cheering followed. Elfman, Mira, Gray, and the others nearby watched as Dealana stared at her enclosed hands for a few extra moments before slowing opening them to reveal something which made the dky-blunette instantly tear up. It was Lisanna's bracelet. It had come off during the battle when the scales from her ankles loosened it. Dealana thought it was gone for good and would never see it again, but apparently, Laxus found it. Mira quickly brought the girl into a careful hug as her body wracked with held back sobs, Gray and the others watched with small smiles and silent support.

*Still sobbing from writing this chapter while hiding from my concerned little sister under the bed in a blanket burrito*
The Battle of Fairy Tail is officially over, and I'm going to have maybe one or two filler chapters before moving onto the next arc that'll include Dealana. The Oracion Seis. It's my personal favorite alongside the Galuna Island arc, and since I didn't think Dealana would fit in that arc, I'm going to force a way for her into this one. Dealana NEEDS to meet Wendy and maybe have a sarcasm fight with Cobra. There's nothing in my mind that won't change all that.
What did you think of the chapter and the arc itself? Did I write it well? Any suggestions for if I ever finish this story and go back to edit it? Tell me what you think, don't be afraid to voice your thoughts! Now would be the best time to try and hug Dealana, she can't use magic to push you away and she's not allowed to do most physical activity, just make sure Elfman doesn't see you, he's her body guard while she recovers!

"No! You must be joking. Why would he kick you out and not the rest of us?" Evergreen screeched as Laxus broke the news about his expulsion to the Thunder Legion. They were under the large tree in the park.
"Yeah. I mean, we're just as guilty as you are." Bickslow agreed, he wore bandages underneath his normal attire from his fight with Dealana. He had been told it would leave a scar, but he didn't so much care about that at the moment.
"Just as guilty!" his 'babies' echoed.
"Guess the old man doesn't see it that way." Laxus told them.
"Well, if you're leaving the guild then I'm leaving, too." Evergreen decided.
"Why should we stick around if you're not gonna be here?" Bickslow asked.
'You guys can be such a pain in the neck. I mean, can't you just say goodbye and be done with it?" Laxus dismissed their words.
"I don't understand. We're at fault, too... so why are you taking all the blame?"Freed wanted to know.
"You've got it all wrong, my friends. You can say whatever you want, but I know you guys are much more attached to this guild than I could ever be." Laxus replied.
"If we talk to the master maybe we can changer his mind." Evergreen suggested.
"Yeah, and Natsu and Gray respect you, so they'll probably go with us. He loves those guys. I'm sure he'll listen to them." Bickslow added. Laxus said nothing but looked at them with a small smile forming at the corners of his mouth.
"Are you really leaving?" Freed asked.
"Take care of yourselves." Laxus called to them as he began walking away. "Watch over the little runt too, I can't be around for that anymore."
"Laxus, wait!" Evergreen yelled after him.
"You can't just leave us behind! What will happen to the Thunder Legion? Man I can't believe this." Bickslow said clenching his fist tight.

A rainbow assortment of fireworks lit up the night sky as Fairy Tail's Fantasia Parade was underway. The sound of cheering and laughter filled the air as the magnificent floats passed through the street.
Cana displayed her card magic by making them circle around in the air while Macao and Wakaba displayed their own magic beside her wearing silly costumes to invoke the festival spirit. Unbeknownst to most of the guild, Laxus stood leaning in an alleyway watching the parade with a small smile.
Dressed in pink and white dresses, Lucy, Bisca, and Levy did a small dance performance with flags while on the float behind them, Elfman in his full-body take-over guarded the princess tower which held a flower on the top that opened to reveal Mirajane, who then proceeded to transform into a giant salamander with her cute little hair pony tail on the top.
Gray and Juvia created an ice palace on their float while dressed as a prince and princess. They utilized their complimentary magics to create spectacular creations in the air that were preserved in beautiful ice. Dancing with her swords floating around her was Erza, who requipped into a more revealing outfit and began to twirl around with her curved blades.
Natsu walked behind them, still bandaged, but as fired up as ever with Happy beside him. He took a deep breath and spelled out 'Fairy Tail' in fiery letters before Happy grew worried for his health when he started to cough a little bit of smoke up.
