《NIJISANJI EN ONE SHOTS》Trouble (---)
Inspired by the stream of Oliver Evans (Nijisanji), Mika Melatika (Nijisanji), Nina and Millie. The four were sort of "role-playing" as a family in the stream.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Situation:
Oliver got mad at Millie for lying to him about her grades. Oliver thought that Millie was doing well in her other curriculum because she's not having a hard time in his classes.
Characters:
Millie – 13 years old
Mika (NIJISANJI ID) – 15 years old
Mysta – 19 years old
Nina - 45 years old
Oliver (NIJISANJI JP) - 45 years old
Lain Paterson (NIJISANJI JP)
Kaeda Haru (NIJISANJI JP)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was the last day of school before Christmas break, and the teachers were discussing about the grades of their students.
"Hey Oliver-sensei, your daughter Mika did really great on her test. She has been on top of my class since day one. You did an excellent job teaching her." Kaeda Haru, Mika's homeroom teacher, said as he drank his coffee.
"That's great! But hey, I am really concerned about Millie. I do not think she will get to go to this vacation week you were talking about. She'll need to take the remedial test." Lain Paterson, Millie's homeroom teacher, added.
Confused, Oliver looked at the female and asked, "Huh? But she aced my subject and she's been doing well in her other curriculum. It's impossible that she has to take it."
Lain snickered and grabbed something from her desk and gave it to Oliver. Oliver took the envelope and opened it.
"Is that what you call 'doing good' in her other curriculum? Are there any issues you have at home? Millie was highly active in her first days, what happened?"
The other teacher patted his back as he sat there a little bit mad. He wanted to know why Millie had to hide it from him.
He is going to talk to them about it when their report cards have been distributed. He decided to keep it in before the time arrived.
'Only one more week Oliver. You can get through it.'
———Time skip: 1 week———
The Evans family were sitting at the dining table together talking while they waited for Oliver to start.
The only thing was, Oliver was trying to find a way to discuss Millie's report card without spoiling the dinner.
Nina noticed the quiet atmosphere her husband is emitting and got concerned.
"Honey, is everything okay?" She asked softly.
The Evans siblings stopped bickering with each other and looked at their parents.
"Yeah dad, are you okay?" Mysta asked, concerned.
Oliver looked up to see all eyes are on him. Oliver smiled at him, hinting that he's okay.
"I haven't seen your report card, Mika, and Millie. Would you mind showing it to your father?"
Mika nodded and excused herself to get it. Millie stayed behind and looked down. Nina saw how Millie was acting and looked at her husband and said,
"Millie's grades were higher this quarter. It's an achievement."
"How would I know if I haven't seen it?" Oliver questioned.
He looked at Mika who got back from taking her report card. She handed it to her father and sat down right after.

Oliver praised Mika for getting high marks before looking back at Millie who's still looking down at her lap.
"Millie, baby. Just show it to your father." Nina sweetly said, placing her hand on top of Millie's.
Millie looked up at her mother and nodded, visible tears on her eyes. She got up slowly and excused herself to retrieve hers.
Millie came back with the envelope that had her report card. She slowly walked to her father's side and handed it over.
Millie didn't leave her father's side and watched closely as Oliver opened the envelope and examined her report card.
Since Oliver already knew the results, she turned to Millie and questioned, "This is high for you? F? Seriously, Millie. You plan on lying to me when you know I'll find out sooner or later!"
Millie flinched at her father's outburst. She couldn't help but cry silently as she got scolded by her father as Nina tried to calm Oliver.
"Go to your room! You're grounded until you finish the remedial test!"
"But dad! That's the day we go to grandma's house!" Mika reacted.
"We can just move the trip for a different day, honey." Nina replied.
"No. We will not move it." Oliver said.
"What do you mean?" Nina asked.
"What I mean is that the 4 of us will go without Millie. It's a punishment."
Millie only nodded and didn't say anything and ran to her room crying.
Mika was upset that her sister won't be able to go. She wants to stay but she has been wanting to visit her grandparents for so long.
She decided to help Millie study for her remedial test instead. Plus, she doesn't want to go against her father's words. It's not every time you get to see Oliver mad.
Half an hour has passed, and Millie still hasn't gone out of her room. Nina decided to prepare some food for Millie so she could eat.
After preparing the food, she went upstairs to Millie's room only to find the door locked.
Nina sighed and set the food down on the floor in front of Millie's room. She knocked on the door and said, "Millie, there's food outside of your room. You can get it later when you're hungry."
No response. Nina tried again and said, "Millie. Please."
Again, she didn't hear anything from her daughter. Nina decided to give up and walk to her room.
She sits on her bed, as she waits for her husband who's getting changed into his nightwear.
As Oliver got out of the bathroom, he went closer to his wife and hugged her.
"You should change. Let's sleep." He spoke quietly.
Nina caressed her husband's hands and sighed. "Oliver. I don't think Millie took this well. Shouldn't you have talked to her in a warmer tone?"
Oliver sighed and sat beside Nina. "I wouldn't be mad if she lied. I'm also mad at you because you also lied to me."
"I'm sorry. I just thought it would be okay. Honestly, I'm also shocked when Millie came home with low grades."

"What do you mean?"
"She always shows me her homework after she's done it. And she also asks me or Mika for help."
"Then why are her grades so low? She should've at least gotten a D or a C."
"Hey! Are you saying my teaching skills can only get my children a D or a C?" Nina questioned.
"Hey, it's not like that." Oliver replied.
"Just because you're the teacher doesn't mean you're the smartest!"
"Okay, okay. I get it. You're smart but not smarter than me." Oliver said, whispering the latter part.
"Hey I heard that!" Nina said, grabbing a pillow and hitting her husband.
"Okay, okay! Haha! I'm sorry." Oliver pleaded, trying to take the pillow away from Nina. He placed the pillow back to its original position and hugged his wife tightly. "You're my smart and lovely and pretty wife."
"You phrased that as if you have another wife." Nina uttered.
Oliver sighed and smiled. "You're the only one for me."
With that Nina shrugged and decided to go change her clothes.
Meanwhile with Millie
Millie could only cry in her bed. She didn't want to lie to her father, but she felt like she had to.
There are things you can tell your friends but never your family. That's what Millie is thinking right now.
She's been pondering for some time if she'll be able to tell her family the reason but she's too scared.
--- Time Skip ---
The day Millie had to take her remedial test and the rest of her family went on a vacation trip to their grandma's place.
To say Oliver didn't feel guilty leaving Millie alone, would be an understatement. The morning they all got up and ready for the day, they decided they would stay there for one night and go home tomorrow morning.
Oliver is aware that Millie is trying to avoid them, even Mika and Mysta got a glare from Millie when they tried to talk to her.
She barely had any meals with them and wouldn't even finish everything that her mother would prepare for her when she eats.
The family grew worried and restless throughout their whole drive. Not even Mysta who usually would tease his younger sisters made a single noise.
In the middle of the drive Oliver got a text from his colleague, Lain Paterson. Oliver couldn't see it or entertain the messenger because he was driving.
A few minutes later, Oliver's phone rang, and he asked Nina to answer it and put it on speaker.
"Hello?" Oliver started.
"Why weren't you answering my texts? It's a very important matter." The other line spoke.
"Why what happened?" Oliver asked.
"Millie. She hasn't arrived yet. It's been like an hour and a half since the examination started. Where is she?"
The family looked at each other in shock and began to worry.
"Lain, I'll call you back. Can you set a schedule when Millie can take it? I don't think she's feeling well." Oliver reasoned.
"Fine. But you have to do me a favor after. I don't want the others to think I'm giving your daughter any special treatment."
"Yeah, thanks." With that, Nina ended the call.
"Dad, I think we should head home. I don't like what my mind is imagining." Mika said.
Oliver nodded and drove back from where they came from.
Meanwhile in their house, Millie was sad because she didn't get to go, but she had to go to school to finish the test.
But this day just wasn't the best. Ever since the day Oliver grounded her, she hasn't been eating well and hadn't gotten enough sleep.
She was preparing to go to school even if she was already late for the call time. She couldn't help but to take her time or else her system would break.
She decided to skip breakfast to give her more time to get ready. She went to her bathroom and sighed.
'I have to do my best today. I have to show them what I can do.' She thought to herself as she looked at herself in the mirror.
She was about to go shower when she accidentally slipped letting out a horrifying screech before hitting her head on the shower wall.
She fell to the ground trying to keep herself awake. She slowly crawled out of the bathroom even if she's already in the midst of losing her consciousness.
The moment the rest of her family arrived, they were already too late. The moment they entered the house they were calling for Millie.
Millie heard it all and just prayed that they would find her. She tried to move to a spot where she could be found easily by her family, but she was already too late.
She was beside her bed because she was trying to reach for her phone so she could call her parents. She had already lost her consciousness.
Oliver was the first one to go up to her room and was shocked to see no one in there. He decided to look in the bathroom, but no one was there.
That's when Oliver started to feel uneasy. The trace of Millie's blood from hitting her head on the wall was visible.
Oliver exited the room to see Millie on the ground lying unconscious. Oliver panicked and started to cry.
He shouted for the rest to come to where he was. Nina heard it and looked at Mika and Mysta to go to where he is.
The moment they arrived in Millie's room, they could hear faint crying noises from Oliver.
The three went to see what was happening but were left in shock when they saw Millie with her eyes closed as Oliver hugs her to his chest.
Part 2 soon...
