Everyone arrived in Portugal yesterday and the whole team is at the beach hanging out for the afternoon. I'm sitting and talking to Ali and Moe. During a silent moment of our conversation I look around at everyone spread out around the beach when I see something that I have no choice but to draw.
"WAIT CHRISTEN DON'T MOVE." I yell and Christen freezes as I take out my phone and run over to her.
"Why?" She asks and everyone looks at me weirdly
"Just trust me." I say then take a picture of her. "Okay. Thank you Christen. You can move now."
"Why did she have to freeze?" Kelley asks as I walk back to my spot.
"You'll see." I say then get out my sketch book and drawing utensils from my bag and start drawing. For the next hour and a half I zone out of the conversation and focus on drawing Christen and every so often I look at the photo to make sure I get everything correct. Finally I finish the drawing and compare it to the photo and to Christen.
"Shit." I say and the team look at me.
"What's wrong?" Alex asks.
"I fucked up Christen."
"Excuse me?" Tobin says.
"Oh not like that." I say then show the team the drawing.
"I meant on this drawing sorry...That's why I had you freeze Christen. The sun was hitting your face just right and you looked like a work of art and I had to draw you." I say causing Christen to blush.
"You really know how to complement a girl Cairo." Alex says.
"You look cute when you draw Cairo." Lindsey says and I blush causing the team to laugh.

"How so?"
"Well your nose crinkles when you erase and your tongue goes out the side of your mouth when you're really focused...It's just cute."
"Cairo?" Moe asks.
"Yes Moe"
"Do you draw Lindsey?"
"Yes I do."
"Do you have any of those drawings with you?"
"Nope. After I finish drawing her they go straight in the trash." I say and everyone looks at me confused.
"What why?" Mal asks and she looks pissed.
"One reason is because no matter how many times I draw Lindsey nothing will ever remotely capture her true beauty." Everyone coos and Lindsey blushes.
"Cairo sometimes you are too romantic." Ash says making the team laugh.
"Wait you said one reason what are the others?" Ali asks.
"Well...Okay Lindsey you remember when you helped me around the house for that week?" I say and she nods. "And one day you came down for breakfast in just your sweats and a loose t-shirt and you didn't have make-up on yet...remember that?"
"Yeah?" She says confused as the rest of the team look at me confused as well.
"Okay well I tried to draw that image one day, but I stopped because I knew I would ruin the memory of when you were at your most beautiful and I never want to lose that memory." I say and I see Lindsey has tears in her eyes. "Oh love I didn't mean to make you cry I'm sorry." I go wipe them off, hug her, and kiss her.
"They're happy tears Cairo." Lindsey says and pulls me into a kiss.
"Okay what the fuck...you really don't make it fair for the other couples." Christen says.
"Sorry?" I say.

"Alright dinner is in 20 so we should head back." Carli says.

"Alright so we are going to scrimmage 11v11 with 20 minute halves. Team captains are Lindsey and Cairo versus Christen and Tobin." Jill says.
"Wanna make a bet?" I ask.
"What are your terms?" Christen asks.
"Losing couple buys the winning couple dinner?"
"Deal." Tobin says and we all shake on it. We then chose our teams from the girls that weren't with Dawn for some reason.
"How are we lining up?" Moe asks.
"Okay so attack it will be Mal on the right, Alex in the middle, Me on the left. Midfield it will be Lindsey on the left, Moe on the right, Julie holding midfield. Defense is Emily Fox at left back, Becky and Kling center backs, and Ali at right back. And Ash in goal...obviously. If we need to I can always drop into midfield and Alex and Mal can play upfront. Everybody good?" I say and they nod.
Everyone got in position and then Christen kicked off for the other team. The first 10 minutes was a little boring. Nothing happened it was basically just the two teams trying to keep possession. I don't know what happened, but after 10 minutes had gone it was like the flood gates opened. When the half ended the score was 3-2 with me scoring once and Alex scoring twice for us and Christen and Tobin scoring for the other team.
5 minutes into the second half Rose got sick so Jill called the scrimmage so the trainers could look at her. When she didn't get any better Jill called practice. After training was over we headed back to the hotel to eat and pack since we are going to La Havre tomorrow.

The Last Watcher

One day though, while they are attacked by a mysterious warrior, a single Abyss Watcher is suddenly pulled through a tear in reality, transported to a new world. A world with a strange thing called a leveling system. Current update schedule: Tuesday 10:00 PM NZT Idea I had of an Abyss Watcher from Dark Souls 3 being transported into a LitRPG world. You don't have to know any of the lore from Dark Souls to understand this, however if you want to know more about the lore just google it or something, I can't stop you But it's not like it will be very useful in this story as I plan to not be focused on Dark Souls Lore. As a side note for those reading this while it is ongoing, I will occasionally go back to previous chapters and sometimes add certain elements to the skills and leveling. Not to worry though as I will tell you as to what I have edited in the authors notes, so be sure to pay attention to those when they appear as they may contain information required for continued understanding. Also, if you decide to drop this book then please leave a comment on the chapter you stopped on and tell me what made you stop.

Clarent Saga: Chronicles
Based on my work on Saga of the Jewels, I've been hired by an indie game developer to write the novel for their 'novel + turn-based battles' game which is in Early Access on Steam. Of course, a 'novel + turn based battles' is a terrible idea for a game, which is why no other games like this exist, but hey, the developer is paying me. And if something's worth doing at all, it's worth doing as well as possible, so I am going to give this project my very best shot and try to make it as good as it can be. So if you read this, please give me feedback on the story to help me make it as good as it can be! Please note, for this story I have been given a pre-existent set of characters, character back-story sketches and a rough plot to work with. I also have to insert random battles into the narrative, have set characters appear in a certain order, and have the party fight fixed bosses in a certain order, all at fixed points! Please also note that this is a first draft. I will be editing and re-working this in the future and re-posting it. But I need helpful feedback, if anyone can give it. You can also find the game version of this on Steam by searching there for 'Clarent Saga: Chronicles'.
