《BRUINS》27

Right in between two training sessions - the girls have three hours during which the goalkeepers are having a special training to study - Kristie energetically knocks on Steph's dorm door, and when nobody answer it in two seconds, she opens in.
She stops after taking just two steps into the room, freezing when she sees Gibby, sitting on her bed, all alone in the room. The blonde slightly blushes, and says :
"Oh, sorry". She the frowns. "Do you know where Steph is ? I needed to work with her because I can't do anything on my own in terms of motivation nowadays."
"She's at Abby's" Gibby settles.
Kristie shakes her head : Steph told her she'd help her out. Rolling her eyes, she turns around, before saying :
"Thanks, I'll kill her, but thanks for the info" she mutters, upset.
Right before she can exit the room, Kristie hears Gibby's voice say :
"But we can study together if you want ?". When the blonde turns around, raising her eyebrow - in a seductive way, as always - Gibby immediately adds : "I mean, I have trouble concentrating as well."
"Okay."
Without further due, Kristie lets herself fall on Steph's bed, under Gibby's bored and judgmental look. She then smirks, before getting up again, walking toward the brunette. When she sits down next to her, Gibby tenses up.
As the blonde is looking at her computer screen - in order to see what she's working on - Gibby can't help but stare at her.
"What's that all about ?" Kristie asks, truly interested.
Gibby shakes her head.
"Human traffic." she only says, focusing on what she's typing.
"That's quite interesting, and such an underrated problem nowadays" the blonde comments, trying to read some of the paper, but the young defender closes her laptop. And Kristie then grins. "Why did you close it ?"
"Because I can't focus because of you"
Kristie smiles.
"Why ? I'm only reading it..." While those words slips out of her mouth, Kristie's hand is tracing a soft line on Gibby's leg. The brunette immediately tenses up, but Kristie acts as nothing is happening when she says : "So, I wanted to ask you a question... May I ?"
"Do I really have a choice ?" Gibby asks, sassy, but something in her voice indicts Kristie that she is uncomfortable.
The blonde knows she's having an effect on her, just by the way Gibby is either pushing her away, nor asking her to leave. Her eyes are locked on Kristie's lips as she is speaking, just for a second, before looking into her ocean eyes, ignoring the fact that she should probably do something to stop the blonde. Suddenly, Gibby wins her assurance back, which makes her even more attractive to Kristie.
The memory of Gibby's lips against hers, in the museum, makes Kristie want to kiss her. But she knows she can't do that right now, so instead of doing it, she stares into Gibby's eyes with a sassy smile on, before asking :

"Why are you resisting ?"
Gibby shakes her head. "You're not that lovable and attractive Kristie, at least not as much as you think you are." she says, raising her eyebrows. "I know you're not used of being told that, but I am not like other people : you can't have me simply by smiling."
"I know" the blonde breathes out, losing her confidence for a brief moment. When she gains it back, she speaks the truth by saying : "That's why I like you more than other people."
But the brunette is not willing to let her express her feelings freely, so she says :
"That's not hard to do : you hate every one"
"I mean, that's why I am attracted to you like this" the blonde insists, as Gibby blushes a little bit. But the middy is not ready to let her destroy her dreams, so she goes on before Gibby can cut her speech. "I don't know how it happened, but I think I have deep feelings for you Giblet... I hate to say that, but you're funny, well-driven, cute and nice... I know it isn't fair from me to say, because you deserve so much better but... This kiss we shared..."
"... was only supposed to be a 'taste', Kratch. You said this."
"I know, and I regret it."
"The kiss ?"
"The moment. I'd have wanted it to last forever. I'd have imagines hundred of lights above us, and so much flowers at our feet. I'd have wanted to hold your hand like I am holding it right now, and only tell you : 'hey, you're a pretty cool chick, and you're the only person here not getting on my nerves and actually making me care'."
"Kristie..." Gibby warns her, looking at their fingers entangled, as Kristie is getting closer to her.
"Ssh" the blonde whispers, as she is slowly leaning in. She then kisses the brunette's cheeks, before just sitting down next to her and grabbing her own computer. She then smirks when she sees Gibby's confused face. "Relax, I just don't want to rush things. So let's say I'm on probation and we should study while we still have the time. Okay ?"
"Okay"

Kelsey frowns.
She is sitting in her car, Allie right next to her. The two girls are right in front of a building near Stanford, as Tobin is walking toward them.
"Do you really think it's a good idea ?" the blonde asks, staring at the goalie, who looks determined all of a sudden.
When Kelsey looks at her as well, Allie sees in her eyes that her words don't match her thoughts when she says :
"Yah. Tobin needs us."
"Tobin can be stubborn and not really able to think when she's mad" Allie points out, and the goalie immediately knows she's right. "And now, she's hella mad because that Morgan girl stole her girl."

The keeper only nods.
Right after Allie said that, Tobin opens the back door and gets in the car. Her eyes are slightly red, and both her friends don't really know what to say. So they just wait in total silence, given to the fact that Tobin is quite an introvert person when something actually touch her. Once she is done being sad and upset, she usually talks.
But this time is different, because when Allie lifts her eyes, and sees two Stanford girls going out of the building, and immediately touches Kelsey's arm to make her look the same way. The blonde immediately recognises Samantha Mewis, Kristie's sister, by the way she stands and walks, because that's the only moment she actually looks like her sister. Walking by her side, and looking quite concerned, is Christen Press. When the two girls spot the car and the Bruins, they exchange a look, before coming their way.
Kelsey is the first person to go out of the car, followed by her two friends. She has never had any problem with the two girls, because they are quite the 'pacific' ones in the team. But since Tobin is very mad right now, she fears that the middy won't contain herself. As the two girls are hesitantly coming closer to them, the goalie exchanges a look with Tobin, letting her know that she better not create any drama, because right now is not the good time or spot to do so.
When Sam and Christen are right in front of them, Allie is the first one to say :
"We know we shouldn't be here"
Her calm voice immediately relaxes the two girls, who are more comfortable in speaking to them now.
"That's okay, we heard about what Alex did" Christen says in a serious voice, honest. She then looks at Tobin, and says : "We are really, very sorry about that."
"Mmh" is all Tobin lets out.
There is an awkward silence, before Sam looks at Allie, asking :
"How is my sister doing ?" She then slightly blushes and looks down, knowing very well that right now is maybe not the appropriate time to ask about her. But she doesn't care, and continues : "I haven't heard about her in a while, and she doesn't return my calls. I know it's because things are complicated, but I worry about her."
The Bruins exchange a look, before Allie settles :
"She is doing great, and she misses you."
The honesty in Allie's voice makes Sam smile.
"Thanks. Can you... I mean, when you see her... Uhh..."
"I'll let her know you miss and love her too, Samantha, no problem" Allie interrupts her, avoiding her to make a fool of herself.
Since Kristie is not a really emotional girl, Allie guessed that either sister was really good at expressing their feelings. And she bet right, because the gratefulness in Sam's eyes speak a thousands words.
But that moment is cut short because Christen's face suddenly changes.
"Look, I think we need to talk" she seriously says, looking around her. She then lowers her voice, before saying : "But here is not the right spot, because they could come and see us. What about we bring you to our secret location ?"
"Secret location ?" Allie asks, doubtful.
"Are you going to kidnap us or something ?" Tobin asks, raising her eyebrows. She then looks at Christen, and adds : "Because I bet that we are way stronger than you are. Look at those guns" she says, mocking, posting at Allie's arms.
The blonde rolls her eyes, as Christen is explaining herself :
"We are not going to kidnap you. That secret location is just a place we found to speak about... stuffs regarding some members of our teams. Only the girls that don't believe in Hope's policy are allowed here."
"Okay then" Allie says, after exchanging a look with her teammates. "Let's go, I'll drive us."
The five girls get in the car, and all the drive long, Tobin is staring at the two girls, eye-killing them, as Kelsey is carefully driving a little bit more in the heart of Stanford campus.

"My love, I can't tell you."
Shelina sighs, as Becky is getting more and more angry. It's Shelina's last day in the hospital, and the blonde couldn't help but question her about that person who is protecting her from the very beginning.
The older girl shakes her head.
"How am I supposed to protect you if you don't tell me anything ?" Becky asks, angry.
"Babe, I swear, I can't say." the Canadian insists. She then shakes her head as well, looking down at her feet. "Look, tonight I'm going home, and I want to go home with you. So can we please stop talking about that and go home together ?"
Becky sighs. She then wraps her arms around Shelina's waist, as the Canadian's ocean eyes drop on her lips.
"You're right, I'm sorry."
Becky then kisses her softly, until a doctor comes in and grants Shelina the right to go back to her normal life. But Becky knows it won't be normal : as soon as she will put a foot on Stanford's campus, she will be hunted, and it is Becky's duty to find a way to pull her out of this. Because now that she is not on the Stanford team anymore, all they can do is either forget about her - because of their lack of evidence against her - or get revenge.
Also, Becky can't stop thinking : who protected Shelina from the beginning ? Because knowing that would unlock a lot of problems, but Becky knows how loyal Shelina is, and probably grateful : she won't tell.

Measured, clacking sounds of high-heels can be heard walking towards an elegantly decorated hall; illuminated only by the sun’s rays streaming down from glass panels, grand frescoes decorating its concave ceiling. Two imposing guards stationed at the entrance saluted as she passed by, stopping before the foot of a raised dais. “My Lady.” She reverently said, bowing deeply to the woman sitting on the throne. Eyes lazily opened and a smirk slowly forming on her tinted lips. “So it's time.” ••••• How does one act when luck granted power unimaginable. To rule? Become rich? Murder? Decisions one makes have consequences. And there’s always a catch.
8 76The Solstice Wars
In the grey-cloaked cityscape of modern London, student William Whiteswift has two secrets: the Fae walk among humanity, and they are just as vulnerable as us. His childhood was filled with them; they spawned nightmares and episodes, dreams and obsessions. The nightmares remain, of course, but the fae are his normal. Now, he heals them, for William is gifted. When he saves a faerie -- a humanoid fae -- from an injury he can’t explain, William is forced to let her stay. Finally, he may have taken on more than he can handle; Ainsel could uproot his life in seconds. Instead, she cracks a Pandora’s box of mysteries: someone just flipped her home on its head. And because of that, she did something unspeakable. And somehow, she doesn’t want to hurt him. The longer she stays, though, the crueler his nightmares grow. Worse, governments hide secrets, too: they know of faeries. To them, all fae are monsters fueled by solstices and equinoxes. As the autumn equinox approaches, the culling agency COURT hurries to track Ainsel down. With teams across the United Kingdom and Ireland -- iron-strong despite the region’s history -- they are nearing success. A world away, their country wounded, the faerie leaders hunger for justice. In the looming shadows of war and of Ainsel’s mistake, can a human and a faerie protect each other against their own kind? Could their plight mend rifts between bitter nations and bitterer people? Or will it, like past attempts at peace, shatter? Quick note! I hope you all enjoy the Irish (Irish Gaelic) words here and there! All are defined or explained within the text. This is my chance to show off speaking it at least somewhat decently. Still learning. ;D -K
