——————-Dream-Start——————
Nico D'Angelo laughed as he watched his girlfriend try build a sand castle on the beach. The waves were the perfect shape, gently lapping the shore as they washed away Percy's castles one by one. The sun was shining brightly on the ocean bringing out the most beautiful of colors, but none of them could compare to the Daughter of Poseidon.
Persephone Jackson was sitting on the ground with soft sand filtering through her fingers. Her ebony black hair was blowing in the slight wind, catching the sunlight and making her seem like an angel.
Her beautiful sea green eyes sparkled with ocean waves and Nico's breath caught whenever he looks at them. They portrayed happiness, loyalty, courage, kindness, friendship, and love all at the same time.
Her delicate, regal features were scrunched up in concentration as she began to construct her castle for what seemed like the 100th time. She formed three towers before the waves washed over the shore demolishing the castle yet another time.
Percy stood up and threw her hands up frustration," Why can't I make a sand castle already? These stupid waves keep washing it away before I can finish."
She plopped down onto the ground, defeated, with a cute little pout on her face.
Nico chuckled at her adorableness before making his way over to his love.He crouched down beside her and raised his eyebrows.
"Is Persephone Jackson the Hero of Olympus having a hard time making a sand castle?" he asked teasingly while poking a finger into her stomach.
She scowled back just as teasingly and replied," It's not my fault that the waves keep washing the sand away." Percy made a humph sound and turned away from Nico.
He stifled his laughter and said to her,"You know, you can just use your water powers to keep the waves away?"

Persephone blushed beat red and mumbled,"I knew that..."
"Sure you did, Seaweed Brain," he said as he wrapped his hands around her waist.
Nico turned her around and brought his face close to hers. They both closed their eyes and leaned towards each other. Their lips almost brushed past each other...
———————Dream-Ends——————-
Nico D'Angelo woke up sighing in disappointment. He had been in heaven, why did it have to end? He would have similar dreams every day, but right before he could kiss his crush, the blissful image would fade away and he would wake up.
Nico sat there on his bed and thought about the girl that always invaded his thoughts. Persephone Jackson. Persephone Jackson. Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson. He groaned in frustration. He couldn't seem to get her out of his mind. Everyday he would fantasize what would happen he were dating her,but that's all it was, a fantasy.
Nico was too afraid of rejection to confront her.
After all, he was just the lowly son of Hades and she was the Savior of Olympus.
He was an outcast and she was loved by all.
He was dark and gloomy and she was bright and cheerful.
He was broken inside and she was the whole mirror.
Nico's thoughts went back to the first time he met her.
He could picture the vivid image of a beautiful girl with wavy black hair and bright sea green eyes trying to calm him and Bianca down when Dr. Thorn had captured them.
He could hear the rage bubbling inside him when Thorn had shot a poisoned spike at her.
He could feel the electric shock between them when he had grabbed onto her arm, begging to go after the questers to keep Bianca safe.
He could remember the guilt and self loathing that she felt when she half told him that his sister had died.

But most of all, he could see the heartbreak on her face when he had yelled at her, telling her that she was a monster, and that he hated her.
Nico shuddered at that memory. He never wanted to think of that again. He had apologized countless times and each time Persephone had waved him off telling him that it was all in the past and that they would forget about it soon enough.
But Nico never had.
That memory had burned itself into his brain and he still felt guilty abut it no matter how hard he told himself,"It's fine. Percy accepted the apology. There's nothing to worry about".
In truth, Nico had never blamed her for Bianca's death; It was in the prophecy.
One shall be lost in the land without rain
It was fated to happen and nothing he could have done would have stopped it.
He had only named Percy because he was mad. Mad, that this was his life. The constant fight for survival, the lazy parents who didn't care to check up their kids, the chance that this moment might be his last.
He hated it, but this life was chosen for him. Nico knew that this was cheesy, but as long Percy was in this life, he would endure it.
He was broken out of his thoughts when he heard and ear-splitting scream from the cabin next door.
The Poseidon Cabin, He thought in horror.
Nico sprinted out of his cabin without a second thought.
A/N. Okay so that was intense.
Just wanted to let you know that there is one of two more parts after this.
If you liked it please comment and tell other people about it.
Thanks.
P.S. Ignore the stubble in the picture. Nico's 16, he's not supposed to have stubble.
