Yan Da's right eyebrow rose noticing the tension.

"What?" she asked the group who are looking at them with perplexed expression.

Ka Suo cleared his throat. " It's nothing, Princess Yan Da. We're just surprised..." He said his gaze fixed on Yun Fei.

Yan Da looked at Yun Fei and then at them again. She smirked. "Our relationship is none of your business. Thank you again for getting Xiao Lian back to us but we have to go." She said, noticing that her daughter is already asleep in her father's arms.

"Let's go," She said to Yun Fei. She stopped though before they've gotten far. "Ah, this doesn't mean that I'll go easy on you guys if we meet on the battle field again."

Yun Fei bowed to the group, subtly meeting his brother's eyes. Sorry Ge, I don't really know what to tell you. I'll try to explain things the next time we meet.

The trio watched them walked away. Silently, asking a lot of questions on their mind.

"She's really knocked out, huh?" Yan Da said, fondly looking at Xiao Lian. Yun Fei chuckled, putting the girl on the bed.

He then got up, getting a basin full of water and a wash cloth. He then wet the cloth, giving it to Yan Da.

Gently, she bathed her daughter. Suddenly, she gasped making Yun Fei looked at her. Noticing her focused gaze on Xiao Lian. He moved closer, spotting what made her gasped. His eyes widened.

There on Xiao Lian's shoulder is the mark of an Ice Princess. That's not the only reason though why Yun Fei is surprised. Each Ice Princess mark is unique. Its form is based on who their parent is that's from the Ice tribe. Xiao Lian's mark is formed by three cherry blossom snowflakes. Yun Fei's shocked. His gaze is fixed on Xiao Lian. She's mine!?

He was sitting on the swing in the Dream Tribe Palace. Blankly, gazing at the floor in front of him.

Li Luo then came out of nowhere then sat beside him.

"Still thinking about Prince Shi, Princess Yan Da and Xiao Lian?"

Ka Suo moved, massaging his temple. "Yes but I don't know exactly what to think." He said, sighing.

"I understand even Xing Jiu and I were shocked." She stated, smiling. Remembering their facial expressions, a while ago. "Though, Prince Shi looked really happy and relieved seeing Princess Yan Da and Xiao Lian."

Hearing that, Ka Suo groaned. "That's what's bothering me. I never saw him like that except with very few people he really cares about. Do you think... him and Princess Yan Da..."

Li Luo shook her head. "I don't know too. But Prince Ka Suo, if the two of them are really like that what are you going to do? And there's also Xiao Lian."

"Honestly, I don't know. I just hope not or it'll be really painful for them. Xiao Lian though is she really Shi's daughter?"

Li Luo bit her lip, thinking. "Prince Ka Suo isn't there something in your clan to identify the Ice Princesses." She stated, looking at him.

Ka Suo's eyes widened in realization. "That's right. The mark on their shoulder. If she's really, Shi's daughter his mark would be there."

"Er, what kind of mark exactly?" Li Luo asked, hoping that she's wrong.

Ka Suo's brows furrowed, thinking. "Well, since it's Shi. It's probably cherry blossoms. Why?" he asked back, noticing that she avoided his gaze.

Li Luo let out an awkward laugh.

"Li Luo?"

Li Luo sighed then said. "Because I did saw a mark on Xiao Lian's shoulder. Three cherry blossom snowflakes to be exact."

The two were now done bathing Xiao Lian. Both were so quiet. Yun Fei was about to leave when Yan Da stopped him.

"Yun Fei," she said, meeting his eyes. "Don't tell anyone about what you saw."

Yun Fei nodded. "You do not have to worry, Princess Yan Da. I won't tell anyone."

"You may leave." The fire princess said, dismissing him.

When he was out, Yan Da sighed brushing her daughter's hair. She's confuse. Xiao Lian's eyes had changed in the morning. Then the Ice Princess mark appeared on her shoulder.

What's going on? Is it this necklace again? She silently asked, studying the necklace. What are you? She frowned. Her brain analyzing the events yesterday and today. It only glowed when I said that Xiao Lian would be my daughter. Then her appearance changed to match mine. Does that mean the necklace had chosen someone else to be her other parent? Someone from the Ice tribe at that. But the only Ice Princes left are Ka Suo and Ying Kong Shi.

Yan Da frowned. And the only one she came in contact with is Ka Suo... Is it him then!?

Yan Da's frown became more prominent. Somehow that thought didn't feel right. Moving her daughter, she traced the mark. It's beautiful. No matter who it is. She said, kissing her daughter on the cheek. You'll always be my little princess. I love you.

He was outside, staring at the sky. His mind wandering on Xiao Lian and Yan Da.

She has my mark. How did that happen? She has my eyes too. Is she really mine!?

"Yes, idiot as you've said she has your mark." His mind supplied.

Yun Fei pinched his cheek. "Nope definitely not a dream." He said, sighing. What am I going to do?

His eyes slowly soften though when he remembered the little one's innocent smiles and Yan Da's motherly acts. He smiled. I don't care anymore. I'll just do what I can for them now. Even if I know I'll most likely leave their side someday.

Yan Da woke up early. A new order came. Her father told her to meet up with her brother and get the Ice leaf from the bear tribe. She doesn't want to leave without saying goodbye to Xiao Lian but she didn't have a choice, knowing his brother's temper. So, she just kissed her daughter then left to see Yun Fei.

"Yun Fei!" she called out, entering the tent.

"Princess Yan Da?" her manservant answered, still half asleep. Yan Da stifled a laugh. Her manservant is a mess. Well, he's still pretty adorable.

"Get up." She told him. "You can go and sleep beside Xiao Lian. Take care of her because I have to go to the bear tribe today."

She then left.

"Took you long enough." Her brother said, greeting her.

"Shut up, brother. You're the only one crazy enough to meet at this time of the day. Seriously, it's only three in the morning." She said, glaring at her brother.

Shuo Gang only smirked. "Who said that this will only be a meeting." He said, attacking her which Yan Da dodged easily.

Yan Da smiled, retaliating. Training it is then. A warm up before they face the bear tribe.
