The when I had my daughter was the best day of my life. Who knew the next day would have been the worst? Nobody, except God. Everything had been going fine until 6:23 AM the day after Sophie was born. I was awoken by a number of nurses taking Sophie from her bed, where she was monitored. I still remember it like it was happening.
"What's going on?"
"Miss, it seems that your daughter has had a seizure."
Those words cut deeper than I ever thought they could.
I quickly wake up Shay, who is sitting next to me. Keegan went home last night to sleep, and Shay offered to stay.
"Shay, they just took Sophia, she...she had a seizure." I manage to studder.
Her face goes pale and she calls Keegan while running my back. My daughter.

Althea escaped with her newly created AI, Dorian. A fugitive, she found herself betrayed time and time again. Ultimately she joined a group organized by the Rian telepath Shirae Valerian. Shirae made a deal with Althea for her own reasons and provided her with a Mirror Port which would allow her to reach the Lost Worlds outside The Palmyr. While she is driven to discover the secrets of The Macros, Althea is still drawn back to The Palmyr by the unfinished business that has defined her. The Promethead is her story.
