"I disagree, I'll not marry him. Mom, why do you even think I'll agree to marry him? Just how did you guys think of something like this?" Type fumes pacing from one corner to the another in their vast living room.

"What's wrong with marrying tharn, type? You both have been always good friends, so I don't see any reason as why not. We both families have been friends from your grandparents time, we got married at the same time and we promised to eachother that when we have kids were going to marry them off to eachother. And you know this already." Type's mother notes, reminding him of the promise.

Although both the families have been good friends, almost like family but tharn and type hate eachother since childhood and it grew along with them. They act all friendly in front of their parents but their actual feelings to one another are different. Everyone apart from their parents knows about the enmity that lies between them.

"I don't know about the promise. You guys didn't ask me about it when you made the promise. And just because we're good friends, we can't marry eachother." Type strongly denies because even for sake of saving his life, he can't marry his enemy.

"No more arguments type, in two days is the wedding and that's final." Type's father takes over the mother and son argument and makes the final decision.

Unlike type's mother, his father isn't a friendly person. He's someone who's of less words but when he says something that will be the ultimate word, no more discussions made. Though, type sometimes talks against with his mother he never does that with his father because he's scared of him and saying anything against him. No one can blame him though, his father was a hazar during his University days and was feared by many. That continued throughout all these years. He loves his only child but he's strict when it comes to certain things and his promise is most certain of all of the things.

After his ultimatum, his father gets up and leaves the living room. Type stares at his father's retrieving back until he's off his sight and once he gets into his room, type stumbles down onto the couch. He looks at his mother in need of help but she simply shrugs and follows his father to their room. As he sits and thinks, he feels he's doomed. All his doors are closed and there's no way for him to escape this hell.

He can't even imagine how life is going to be after getting married to tharn. Just today in the office, he had this small fight with tharn where he said he's never going to marry him when his fellow colleagues brought up the topic as a joke.

"I hate you, tharn. I'm never going to marry you!"

He vividly remembers saying this to tharn to which he received the reply something similar.

"Do you think I like you? I hate you, too, you dummy!"

Tharn's words rings in his ears and he can't help but feel bad for himself. His enemy hates him as much as he hates his enemy. How are they going to marry and live together? He can't believe his life is taking such an unexpected turn but alas he can't do anything to stop what's going to happen. Everything is out of his hand now.

On the other hand, in the other household the same situation is taking place. But unlike type, tharn agrees to his parents when they asked him to marry type because he knew type would reject it. He doesn't have to do the same and get bad reputation to his name.

To his parents and to the whole world tharn is a great son, very obedient of his parents and fulfills every wish of theirs. That isn't fully wrong, though he has few flaws and may not be what his parents think him as, he respects and loves his parents the most in the world.

"Is it really fine with you, tharn? Though, I made the promise I sometimes feel I shouldn't have done it without your consent." His father sighs rubbing his temple.

The promise has been made even before the birth of the kids, it can't be changed now. But his father can't help but feel maybe it wasn't right of him to decide his kid's fate even when he wasn't born.

"I really am okay with this marriage, dad. Don't feel guilty and blame yourself." Tharn assures his father as he sits by his side and rubs his shoulder gently.

He doesn't want his father to blame himself, the marriage is not going to happen anyway so why take unnecessary tension. He's so sure that he'll not marry type, that's the kind of confidence he has in his enemy. He completely believes type will never let this marriage happen not knowing what's actually going on at the other side.

"If you say so, tharn. But if you feel otherwise, let me know. Remember we don't have time, within two days is the wedding." His father gives him another chance to think.

"I'm sure, dad. No need to think anymore, I believe in your decision." Tharn says earning smiles from his parents.

"Okay, now that it's done. Let's head to bed. It's already late, you have to get up early as you have to go to office tomorrow." His mother reminds him.

Nodding at her, the father and son gets up from the couch and all three head to their rooms to sleep. Laying on the bed, tharn think of how type is going to convince his parents to not let this marriage happen and what reasons he's giving to them. Whatever it is, it's not his business. All he need to do is agree to his parents and make them happy while type takes the headache of stopping the wedding. With that thought in mind he gets into peaceful sleep not realising how turbulent his coming days are going to be.
