"Tried to walk and chew gum at the same time again Bella?" Emmett retorted. I somewhat smiled at that.

"I punched a werewolf in the face." She replied.

"Badass. You'll be one tough little newborn." Emmett commented.

"Tough enough to take you on." Bella slyly said back.

I scoffed and walked out.

"But mostly I wanted a baby, so much. Though when we found Avalei, she was the closest thing I had to my own child. When we found her in the woods that day, I knew I had some kind of connection with her only a mother and daughter could have. The way she looked at me, having hope and love in her eyes. It's been amazing how fast she's grown. And now look at her, a hybrid. I know I despise werewolves and I hate the thought of someone becoming a vampire but with her...she's special."

"Speaking of Avalei, is she home?" Bella asked. That got me a little worried.

"No? I thought she was with you and the mutts earlier." I questioned her.

We then went into the house again, "Guys, where's Avalei?" I asked. They too just realized she wasn't here. What a great family.

"What happened back in La Push? Why did you punch a werewolf anyway?" I angrily asked Bella.

"Jacob kissed her. Avalei saw and I guess she ran off somewhere." Edward informed, going to Bella.

"You guess?! She could be in danger right now for all we know! How could you be so-" I yelled just then a little voice entered the house.

"What's with all the yelling?" the voice said with a sniffle.

I quickly went to her, "Avalei! Where were you?" I hugged her.

"I was out in the woods. I'm sorry, I sort of had a bad day. I just needed some time alone." Then her eyes started to water again.

"Avalei, I'm sorry about Jacob. I tried to tell him. I swear, I didn't want to kiss him, he just was too strong and I-"Bella blabbered but was stopped by Avalei.

"Bella, its okay. I'm not mad at you." Bella soon let a huff of air out, relieved.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked her.

"If you need me to kick some wolf's ass I will." Emmett remarked.

She laughed a bit but then frowned again, "No, if its okay, I just want to go to my room and rest. Its been a long day." We all gave her small smiles and nodded. I kissed her forehead before she zoomed up the stairs and into her room. We heard the door close and her cries started. It took so much of me not to go up there and comfort her. But, I knew she needed this time alone.
