《Safe at Last》Finally Leaving.

Aurora
After a while, the doctor finally came back. He checked my vitals and bruises. He also checked under the bandages to make sure there wasn't any sort of infection. Once he said that I was free to go, I was already sitting on the side of the bed. "Just be careful. You cannot make too much movement unless you want your stitches to come out. I'm giving you these pain killers and you should take two every eight hours when you're hurting."
He walked out of the room and I was once again left with I watched as he got up and grabbed my clothes from the table, and brought them to me. Once he held out his hand, I noticed a long scar from the top of his right thumb going towards his wrist. I could tell that my face gave my curiosity away as he dropped the clothes in my hand. "I'll be outside while you get dressed. Come out when you're done." Was all he said before he walked away. Leaving me alone in this quiet, plain room. The doctor took out my IV so I'm not connected to any machines.
That night played in my head like a song that you have a hard time getting out of your mind. I could feel his fingers touching me.... His fingers inside me. A place they should've never been. I can't get rid of those moments and they will forever be in my mind. The vile man reminded me of Parker Crane in Insidious: Jason isn't a lady or a man. He's a monster that must be put down. I feel so pathetic. I feel like I could've done something.
I could've fought him off harder or screamed louder. I could've done something. I fought as hard as I could but it wasn't hard enough... "Hurry up!" Lorenzo yelled as he stood outside the door. He took me out of my thoughts as I reached behind me and carefully took out the other tie. The gown now slid off my arms as I stood up and put the clothes on the bed. Here I stood in just a bra and panties but they aren't the ones I remember putting on. Someone must've changed my undergarments.

The thought of being violated once again made me feel even more disgusting but I couldn't think about that now. I have to worry about getting back to my siblings. I moved slowly but with pace. Making sure to be wary of the bandages while also making a face of discomfort when I move too quickly. I slid the jogging pants on and thanked God that whoever brought me these clothes, didn't bring anything tight. Next came the shirt that's short sleeve as to not bother the bandages on my arms that received cuts and had to be stitched up.
The bra that I currently have on is a sports bra and isn't that tight but has a lot of sport which makes me comfortable. I put my head through before my arms and I was finally done. I folded my gown and put it neatly on the bed as I fixed the sheet. Something that I've done since my father was here. He always made sure that my bed was made before I left the house. It was irritating when I was a child but as I got older, I started to understand that in order to have a clean house, it starts with your room. The door opened before I was able to grab my phone and I met the face of Lorenzo.
"What are you doing?" I rolled my eyes. What does it look like?
"Fixing the bed. You don't fix your bed before leaving?" His eye started to twitch before he pulled out his phone.
"Let's go now. I have things to do." Once I was done, I grabbed my phone.
"Where did that guy go?" He looked up from his phone as he looked at me with what looked like curiosity.
"The guy that you sent in here to watch me. That's his charger that I was using." All he did was look at me, nothing was said. I looked at him for as long as I could before getting uncomfortable so I looked away. I didn't have anything in here that was mine besides my phone and that was all that mattered to me. I walked slowly towards Lorenzo as I could smell the faint smell of weed and

He turned around and ushered me towards the door. I could feel him staring down at me as he toward above me like a tower. I could feel his eyes on me, watching my every move. Once me made it to the hall, I realized that this was not in fact a hospital but what appears to me a home. Home? I turned my head towards Lorenzo with confusion but he just walked in front of me. His footsteps were more like jumps to me as he walked at a fast pace even when I was walking at a normal speed.
Looking around, I noticed the portraits of art on the walls. One in particular caught my eye. The famous . Painted by the great Italian artist, . I've read that the subject of this painting is his very own wife. It's beautiful when you think about it and actually look at every detail. "You like paintings?" Lorenzo's gruff voice broke the silence as I turned to look at him.
"Yes, I've always wanted to go to an art museum one day." He seemed to be in agreement with my answer as he gave a small smile that I didn't even think was real. We continued walking until we came across a very long flight of stairs. He seemed to walk down them with ease but I on the other hand, was stuck. Slowly but surely, I put my hand on the rail as I made my way down step by step. I balled my hand into a fist with every step as it felt like I was reopening my wounds. Finally, I made it to the end of the staircase and I couldn't be here happier to leave.

Return of Chaos
For the longest time, it was thought that the citizens of Earth were the only denizens of the galaxy incapable of developing superhuman abilities — but recent events have flipped that assumption on its head. Between Austin Travis, Mote Emerson, Pierce Bradley, and their friends, Earth is now host to 12 Chaotics… as well as a myriad of mysteries surrounding them. From a new nemesis in the form of a clone, to connections to ancient technology from a long-lost civilization, to the ability to summon powerful legendary weapons, these 12 Chaotics have unknowingly become entangled in something larger than any of them have ever imagined. As if in response to these discoveries, the sinister machinations of galactic evil are churning. The metallic infection, a calamitous nanotechnology “disease” thought to have been vanquished 20 years ago, is slowly returning — and alongside it, a number of conflicts thought to be long past. While they only seek to better grasp their own abilities, Earth’s Chaotics will soon find themselves in the crossfire of returning threats and old heroes. These superpowered Earthians may not have chosen this path through life, but it will still be up to them to determine if history remembers them — to determine if history remembers the saga of the Keys. Return of Chaos is a direct sequel to Chosen Chaos, which begins the Key Saga novel series. Be sure to read Chosen Chaos first, to understand the plot and the characters thus far! Additionally, the Key Saga as a whole takes place 20 years after Rise. You will not need to read Rise to understand the events of Return of Chaos, however the latter will spoil many of the events that occurred in Rise, due to the simple chronology of taking place later in the timeline.
