Derek and Peter remain chained to the fencing. Sparks fly from their bodies as electricity flows across the metal.

A bearded man indicates the device that is controlling the electricity and explains that it is old and unreliable. He says sometimes they adjust it too high and the victims just die. Sometimes their bodies keep jumping even after their hearts stop.

"But... nobody wants to play a guessing game. So why don't you just tell us? Where is la Loba?" The man asks

"We don't know where la Loba is," Derek says. He sounds tired and annoyed.

"No? Maybe you need a different method of persuasion. Maybe we cut one of you in half, the other talks" The man states

"I would love to be there to volunteer, but we really don't know what you're talking about," Peter says, also sounding exhausted. "And honestly, isn't bisecting people with a broadsword a little medieval?" he asks

"Broad sword? We're not savages" the man says after chuckling. Another man starts the chainsaw. Peter's expression turns into fear and Derek's into hatred for his uncle. "We all wonder how far your little healing trick goes. What do you think? Can you grow back an arm? We're pretty sure you can grow back your head" The first man says while the guy with the chainsaw puts the chainsaw close to Derek's shoulder and then his throat.

"Boys!" A female voice interferes."No tiene que ser tan duro. (It doesn't have to be that hard)"

"No hablo Español. (I don't speak Spanish)" Derek says.

"Tu hablas muchos idiomas, Derek Hale. (You speak a lot of languages, Derek Hale)" the woman says. "You know exactly what I'm saying. And you know who we want" The woman says and moves closer with a knife. "Where is the She-Wolf?" the woman asks."We don't know any She-Wolf" Derek says.

"I know you won't talk, lobito (little wolf). This one will talk. This one loves the sound of his own voice" the woman says about Peter.

"You should hear me sing" Peter states.

"We wanna hear you scream" The bearded man explains.

"No one ever wants to hear me sing," Peter says sounding disappointed. Derek rolls his eyes.

"What could we do to persuade you?" the woman asks suddenly a walkie talkie cracks and a male voice says something in Spanish. The bearded man replies and the doors of the room go open. Two guys bring in a person. Her face is hidden by the blond hair hanging in front of her face. The blond her is slightly red from blood. The two guys bind her to a chair while everyone watches carefully. The girl gets pushes back and her hair falls behind her head. Her face is bloodied and her eyes closed. The woman gives a command and Derek growls knowing what she said. One of the guys who carried the girl in slaps her across the face and she groans. She opens her eyes and they glow amber before going back to a normal blue colour. Her blue eyes look around the room and she groans again.

"I hate Mexico" she mumbles.

Scott is still pursuing the werecoyote through the woods and runs into Stiles who leads them to the coyote's den.

Inside, they find Malia Tate's clothes, as well as some toys and, are convinced that she is the creature.

Scott says by invading the den, they've guaranteed that Malia won't return because their scent is everywhere. Scott believes he could track her better if he transformed but says he can't due to his fear of losing control.

He says since Derek hasn't responded to his texts they'll have to find someone else to help. Saying the den is a crime scene they call in the Sheriff.

The Sheriff is incredulous that the coyote is actually a girl. Scott and Stiles spin a scenario whereby the accident that killed the Tate family was caused when Malia transformed while her mom was driving. Malia, wracked with guilt at the death of her family, runs off into the woods and becomes trapped inside the body of a coyote. This is all speculation on their part and not confirmed fact.

The sheriff is again incredulous and says it's insane.

Scott has a hallucination where he (transformed) has Malia laid over a rock and is about to slash her with his claws.

Agent McCall shows up with Mr. Tate. He seems angry and snaps at Scott that he'll talk to his mother about letting him run around the woods at night.

Mr. Tate confirms that some of the clothing found in the den belonged to Malia.

Agent McCall explains that's why he brought Tate to the scene, to gain confirmation. He also gets in an insult about how Stilinski can't close cases. McCall says they should do a little digging and they are sure to uncover something. Stilinski counters that the case is far more complicated and addresses him with a snide "Special Agent."

McCall then gives a quick lesson in grieving parents, saying it's the "not knowing" that ruins them and that the truth, no matter "how profoundly it sucks" is always better than not knowing.

Malia ( in coyote form) runs through the woods and comes out on an outcropping overlooking the lights of Beacon Hills. The moon is full and reflects in her eyes.

In class, Stiles uses his phone (what appears to be a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1) to show the location of Malia's den. It is at the convergence of a several trails which Allison says could narrow their search because coyotes travel on "fixed trails." She adds that Scott is right about her not going back to the den because coyotes don't like wolfs. She also says they're really smart and if they don't want to be heard they walk on their toes. Stiles says "Coyotes tiptoe?" Allison agrees.

The school bell sounds and Kira, brimming with nervous energy, awkwardly approaches Scott. She says she's done a couple of hours of research on Bardo and printed it out for him. She's unable to find the pages in her book bag. Then her father walks up and says that she forgot the research she printed out for "that boy you like."

Kira is mortified. Scott looks happy and a little excited.

Mr. Yukimura starts class. They are apparently learning about the internment camps the government forced Asian-Americans into during World War II.

He calls on Stiles to read in front of the class but as he tries the letters begin to slide off the page. He begins to panic and Scott rushes him from the room.

In the restroom, Stiles is gasping. He says he thinks he's dreaming but Scott assures him he is not and gets him to count his fingers (because apparently you often have too many fingers in dreams) and this calms Stiles considerably.

Scott assures him they will be okay but Stiles is not convinced. He reminds his friend that he can't transform and Allison is being haunted by her dead aunt. As for himself, he says he is "straight-up losing my mind." He seems defeated claiming that they are not up to the task of helping Malia or anyone else in their current condition.

Scott's response is that they can try, they "can always try."

The bell ending class rings. Mr. Yukimura reminds them to read the chapters on "President Carter and the Commission on Wartime Relocation." Kira notices that Scott and Stiles have not returned and their book bags were left behind.

She carries the bags down the hall and sees a growling coyote. The creature attacks. Kira ducks into the locker room where she drops the bags and hides from the very angry beast. Malia comes crashing through the frosted glass window set in the door.

Just as she's about to get caught, Selene shows up and pushes the lockers over onto the coyote. Malia flees and Selene notices Stiles' book bag is ripped open, one vacant eye of a little girl's doll is staring out of the gap.

The fact that Derek growled after the Calavera woman gave the order didn't go unnoticed by said woman.

"Why would someone like Derek Hale care about a simple, loba solitaria?"

"Porque no estoy solo" The girl says and the doors swing open. A smoke bomb rolls into the room and once the smoke clears up the Calavera's are knocked out. A guy with a height of 6 ft 3/ 1,91 m, dark brown hair and hazel eyes and a girl of 5 ft 8/ 1,73 m, also dark brown hair but striking bold blue eyes are revealed and the guy unties the blond girl while the brown haired girl walks over to Derek and Peter and start to untie them.

"Who are you?" Peter asks.

"The people who just saved your asses" the guy anwers as he looks over the blond's bloodied face.

"You're friends of Selene right?" Derek asks, having recognised the blond girl as Liz. The three nod. "Did she send you?" Derek asks and once again they nod.

"Still, who are you?" Peter repeats.

"My name is Liz and that's Diana, that's Luke" The blond says as she gets up. "Come on we gotta go" she adds.

"We're not leaving without it" Derek says. All three raise an eyebrow at the Hales.

"Without what?" Diana asks.

Animal control officers rush down the hallway at the high school. The Sheriff says if Malia hurts someone "they'll have to put it down." Stiles quickly reminds him that they're talking about a "her" not an "it."

While he says he still believes in the supernatural, he doubts that the coyote is a girl and not an animal. Stiles says he is 100% sure because Scott's sure. Scott is listening to them from the end of the hall. As a demonstration of his friend's supernatural abilities, Stiles turns to his father and whispers "Scott you been listening?" Scott nods and the Sheriff acquiesces.

Kira assures her father that she is fine. He wants to know why she wasn't heading to lunch with everyone else. She explains that she was trying to return the boys' book bags to do "something nice" saying that's how you make friends or "so I've heard."

Scott overhears this exchange while Selene approaches him.

"Fill me in on everything" she states and Scott nods.

Stiles has figured out that Malia was looking for the doll in his backpack. As he shows it to Scott, Mr. Tate storms in demanding to know where he got it. He says it belonged to his daughter. The sheriff intervenes and realizes that Mr. Tate has a gun under his jacket. While he has a permit to carry the weapon, California schools are "gun-free zones" meaning he is breaking the law by bringing it on campus. The sheriff asks him to leave.

He leaves, demanding that the Sheriff "find that animal... ...that thing." Selene pulls the boys away from all the others.

"You guys are right. I've seen something like this before. Full moon, born werewolf, he loses control in a car with his adoptive family and they all end up dead, I found out about the accident and sneaked into the hospital and since then he's in my pack... my former pack" Selene explains.

"Why does it look like you're not telling us something?" Stiles asks.

"It also almost happened with me but Selene could save me and my family right on time," Reed says walking up behind him.

"Yeah, but you're a werewolf, not a werecoyote" Scott points out and Selene and Reed make eye contact.

"Actually-" Reed starts.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me" Stiles says.

Allison retrieves a tranquilizer gun from her apartment and texts Scott that she's "Got it."

At the animal clinic, Scott, Stiles, Reed, Selene and Isaac seek the help of Deaton, after Selene has a short reunion with Isaac and Cheryl. The vet walks into the room with three vials.

"Xylazine. It's a horse tranquillizer. For a werecoyote expect it to work in seconds. I only have three so whoever is shooting needs to be a damn good shot" Deaton explains.

"Allison is a perfect shot" Scott states.

"She used to be" Isaac points out.

"She can do it" Scott defends her.

"If we manage to find the thing," Isaac says.

"Okay, what's the point of him?" Stiles asks pointing at Isaac. Scott sighs like they've had this conversation a thousand times before. "Seriously, I mean what is his purpose. Aside from the persistent negativity and the scarf. What's up with the scarf anyway? It's 65 degrees out." Stiles says and Selene sighs.

"Look, maybe I'm asking the question no one here wants to ask. How do we turn a coyote back into a girl when she hasn't been a girl for eight years?" Isaac says.

"I can do it" Scott says.

"You can?" Stiles asks.

"Yeah, you remember the night that Peter trapped us in the school? In the Gym he was able to make me transform using just his voice. Deucalion did the same thing in the distiliry" Scott explains.

"This is a werecoyote, Scott" Deaton starts.

"It'll work" Reed says and everyone looks at him. "But you've been having trouble with your own shift, how are you gonna control someone else's?" he asks Scott.

"He's right. You gotta learn how to control it. If you can't I can always do it" Selene says and Scott nods.

"So how do I get controle?" Scott asks.

"We could try asking the Twins?" Reed proposes.

"No one has seen them in weeks" Scott points out and Selene's mind realises that's probably smart. When all the people they fucked up realise they're not Alpha's anymore after what Jennifer did... they're dead.

"That's not actually true" Stiles says.

Scott, Lydia and Stiles arrive at Derek's Loft and the twins attack Scott. Pounding on him saying he needs to lose control. They shout that he has to give in and become the monster, the beast. They continue that becoming the monster doesn't make you the "bad guy" as long as you can control it. Scott questions what would happen if he can't control it and is told by Ethan that "it takes over. You become Malia and you get further and further from being human. You turn into an animal or worse."

Aiden says "You turn into Peter."

This causes Scott to flash back to the night Peter 'died' he sees the creature Peter was.

Scott rushes Aiden, but the former Alpha flips him up onto the table and begins pounding on his face. His brother steps in to stop him. Scott's face is covered in blood.

"I thought we were helping him" Aiden tells his brother.

"You help too much" Ethan explains. Scott spits out some blood.

At the Tate farm, Mr. Tate is testing a bear trap, he pushes a piece of firewood into the trigger and the sharpened jaws snap shut.

Allison and Selene are at the Argent's apartment getting ready to hunt.

"Do you think you can hone in on Malia? If not, we're gonna be in the woods for a very long time" Allison asks.

"I've got a pretty good look on her sent. It's actually kind of strong" Selene reasures her.

"What is it?"

"Pee" Allison tries to load the syringe with the Xylazine but her hands are shaking. "You Okay?" She drops the bottle, bends down to pick it up and stands back up.

Instead of her apartment, she finds herself in the Beacon Hills Hospital Morgue. There is a patient on the table under a blanket but when she pulls the sheet back - she is the patient looking up at a group of doctors.

Kate Argent appears to be doing an autopsy on her. Allison's chest is cracked open and her organs are all visible. Kate removes the heart saying "there's definitely something wrong with it" before she throws it aside. She says the rest of the organs look fine and then the doctors turn into werewolves and start eating Allison's entrails.

"Allison!" Selene yells at her friend. Allison snaps back to reality and is pointing the tranquilizer gun at Selene.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" Allison says, puts down the gun while putts her hands up. "I'm... I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was doing. I'm so sorry" She truns around and Selene walks closer. "How am I supposed to help anyone like this? What am I supposed to do?" Allison mummbles to herself.

"Allison" Selene whispers and takes a hold of Allison's tremmbling hand. "Let me help you" she says and takes the bottle out of Allison's hand. "I gotta tell you something"

Stiles' Jeep, Scott's dirt bike and Cheryl's and Allison's cars arrive in the Beacon Hills Preserve.

"Anyone else think we might be doing more harm than good?" Lydia asks.

"We're trying to keep a father from killing his own daughter" Scott states.

"Actually, we're trying to keep a guy from killing a coyote who is actually his daughter, who we don't know how to change from a coyote back to his daughter" Isaac corrects.

"And again with the not helping!" Stiles points out. Scott and Selene sigh.

"Did you bring it?" Scott asks and Allison takes the gun out of the trunk of the car.

Sheriff Stilinski throws down a bear trap on the Tate's kitchen table and says a jogger found it in the woods. Turns out Tate has set up dozens of such traps. He then realizes that his screen door has been torn open. Believing that the coyote is in the house, Tate grabs his shotgun and goes after it. They spot the coyote sitting in the yard with the doll from Stiles' backpack siting under it.

Tate gets off a shot at the animal before the sheriff can stop him.

Hearing the gunfire, Scott takes off on his bike toward the shots. Isaac, Cheryl, Reed, Selene and Allison chase after on foot.

Stiles works out that the doll is key. He first saw it in a picture in Malia's room. Her sister was holding in the picture and Stiles realizes that Malia had placed the doll in the car's wreckage as one might leave flowers on a grave. They removed the doll from the grave and Malia's been trying to return it.

After hearing another gunshot all werewolfs are running on high speed, Selene running the fastest and then Isaac, Cheryl and Reed almost runnign next to each other and Allison trying to keep up with the supernaturals.

Suddenly Isaac steps into one of Tate's traps and screams in pain. The cry from the Beta is strong and loud enough in Scott's ears to knock him off his motorbike and Selene drop to the ground gripping her ears. She quickly runs back and finds Isaac on his knees while Reed, Cheryl and Allison crouched down next to him. She rushes over.

"Allison. There he is" Isaac says and Allison raises the gun. "Hit Tate. Use the tranq on him" Isaac adds. Allison starts shaking like crazy. Her first shot hits a tree.

"Allison. Allison!" Selene says and Allison's head snaps to her friend. "Breath" Allison takes a deep breath and raises the gun again.

"Nous protégeons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se protéger eux-mêmes" Allison mumbles and fires the shot striking Tate in the shoulder. He drops to the ground and Malia runs off. .

"We protect those who cannot protect themselves" Reed translates Allison's sentence.

Stiles tries to reach Scott on his cell but gets his voice mail. He leaves a message explaining the doll thing. He tries to call Selene.

"Yeah?" Selene picks up.

"Thank god" Stiles replies

"Stiles what's wrong? Please tell me you're okay"

"Yeah, yeah. Selene, she's going to the carwreck."

"Okay. Stay safe" She says and hangs up.

When Stiles turns back to Lydia he sees that she has stepped on one of Tate's bear traps. The only reason it hasn't snapped close is that she is still holding the trigger down with her foot. If she tries to step off it will have her.
