《Mama Nootmare (A fanfic with the bad sanses)》Chapter 1 - Alone

Nightmare POV:
I slowly walked through the doors to the castle I'd taken over. It was, okay, I guess. It felt very lonely. I slowly walked over to the kitchen. I didn't have much there, mostly just a coffee maker and some food. I decided to have some coffee. I wasn't tired or anything, but a little extra boost never hurt anyone. It was quiet. Nothing but the sound of my breathing and the whir of the coffee machine. It had been over 400 years since I turned my 'brother' to stone. Everything felt quiet since then. No incredibly positive aura near me. I sighed. I had more negativity than I needed right now. Yet I still felt like it wasn't enough. I grabbed my coffee and began walking to the library. Books helped to pass the lonely time. It had become a routine. Wake up, spread negativity, work, spread more negativity, get coffee and/or read, work, sleep. Occasionally the Destroyer of Worlds, aka Error, would come. That made things feel less lonely for a bit. He never stayed though. I arrived in the library. The little ghost of the dead prince and guardian of negativity was there. I was now the king of negativity. He was the one I took my body from. He was farther down the room, looking at books. He stared at me, pointing at a book.
"You want me to read that one?" I asked, my voice echoing in the big empty library.
He nodded vigorously and pointed at the the book again. I sighed. Reading with him was the only way he wouldn't annoy me.
I walked down to him and grabbed the book off the shelf using one of my tentacles. It was a story about two brothers. 'Of course.' I looked up at him. He tilted his head. 'Always with the family stories.' I thought.

After I read with him for a few hours, I left. He stayed in the library. He couldn't speak, or he never wanted to, so I just always assumed he felt comfortable there. He only annoyed me if I ignored him.
I walked through the deadly quiet halls to my room. I had chosen a small room with a bathroom. There were bigger rooms, but I didn't feel right in them. My room was decorated to my style. It was the only part of the castle that didn't feel eerily quiet or sad and empty. I sat on my bed and pulled out my phone. Maybe a movie could help pass the time.
~The Next Day~
I woke up at the time I normally did. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I quickly checked if anyone entered the castle while I was out. Nope, no positivity or negativity emotions in the castle. Empty...As usual. I sighed and continued my normal routine. As I was drinking my morning coffee, I got really angry suddenly and slammed the coffee mug on the table, shattering it. I needed a change. Something that made me have to do things differently, but what? What could I do to change something? Something dawned on me. I needed company. Someone in the castle with me. Someone who wasn't a angry dead prince.

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
