❀Sleepovers between Luna and Belly happened more than one would think. They'd sleep beside each other, cuddled up underneath the blankets, feet practically tangled with each others. So the two sleeping in the same bed wasn't strange, in fact it didn't shock Susannah when she stepped into the room and laid eyes on the two sleeping.
Susannah told herself the second Belly was born that the beautiful little one would be destine for one of her children. She always thought it would be Conrad, Bellys knight in shining armour. Then she slightly thought it would be Jeremiah, the one who always found a way to make her smile. But now Luna has stepped up and done everything she can to give her partner in crime a little more than everyone else. She is now the competition, Luna is the one that Belly looks for when she enters a room. Susannah sees it now too, the way that maybe Luna Fisher and Isabel were endgame.
"Good morning, Belly and Luna!" Susannah cheerfully exclaimed when she stopped letting the two continue their peaceful sleep.
Belly shot up, dried drool on the corner of her lips. "Oh, my god. Are we late?" Belly tried to get out of bed, pulling Luna who groaned with her.
Susannah shook her head. "No, you two are fine." She say on the edge of the bed, looking towards her daughter and Belly. "Ready for your big day?"
Belly slowly shook her head side to side. "Not at all."
Luna didn't even bother to move her face from the pillow she had face planted into. "No."
Susannah rolled her eyes at her daughter, smiling anyways. "Oh, yes you are. You both are."
Belly placed a hand over her eyes. "What if I fall?"
"You won't." Susannah told her. "Just hold onto Conrad arm. He won't let you fall."
Belly laughed softly. "That's true."
Susannah hummed. "I still can't believe you got hun to go with you. He swore up and down that he wouldn't go to another one of these."

"He said he wouldn't mind." Belly muttered, tilting her head causing hair to fall over her face.
"Well, he'd do anything for you." Susannah was right, Jeremiah would do anything for his family, and that included the Conklins. "They all would."
It's the way that Belly looked towards the snoring Luna first. She was sleeping again, her head now resting against her thighs. Belly didn't think about Conrad or Jeremiah, but instead she thought about Luna.
❀"You look beautiful." Luna whispered to herself, standing in front of a long mirror so she could see herself in her dress. She moved it, it made her feel like such a powerful princess. Her hair was done, makeup and jewelry on, she truly did look so amazing, or at least she thought so. "You look beautiful too, Bells."
Belly blushed, moving to stand closer to Luna than from where she had been standing behind her. "Are you ready?"
It was a simple question that Luna couldn't answer with words. So instead she just nodded and grabbed ahold of Bellys outreached hand. The two walked together to the table where the red bouquet of roses were. They got in line, and waiting for their name to be called so they could be escorted out to the floor.
"Isabel Conklin, daughter of John Conklin and Laurel Park." Belly swiftly moved forward, meeting Conrad in the middle of the stage underneath the flower arch. "A student at 'Chesterbrook High School' where she is captain of the varsity volleyball team." Belly and Conrad strolled forward, arms linked together. "Isabel is also an avid swimmer, and this summer raised five thousand dollars for the county woman's shelter."
"Luna Fisher, daughter of Adam Fisher and Susannah Fisher." Luna practically floated out towards her brother Jeremiah. "A student at 'The Calhoun School' where she is the co-captain of the volleyball team, and apart of the student council." Luna reached Jeremiah and wrapped her arm around his, linking them together. "Luna raised six thousand dollars for Futures Without Violence."
Jeremiah and Luna stood beside Belly and Conrad. Both girls had already given their flowers to their mothers to hold onto. Soon, after everyone was on the floor and had been introduced, the escorts went one way well the debutantes went to their seats.

All the escorts went away backstage, then came back when the music started. They were doing the escort dance, or mainly just a dance that they participated in which also made them look very dashing.
It went on for a few minutes, the escorts dancing well everyone cheered over the music. It was definitely an enjoyable moment for everyone, one that would definitely be hard to forget.
When the dance was over, there was some time in between where everyone could mingle. In that time, Jeremiah had snuck off with his mothers phone, his intentions to find out why she was acting a certain way. Belly and Luna were sitting side by side, playing thumb war and talking about how the night was going. Conrad, he was being sent to find his brother.
The waltz was starting and both Luna and Belly were missing their escorts. If neither showed up then they wouldn't be able to dance, or would have to dance with each other. The two shrugged and trusted that Conrad would hurry back with Jeremiah.
Everyone was looking at Belly and Luna, the two who's escorts had ran away. It was fair, but everyone seemed to point and whisper. There wasn't anymore time for the two to waist, so Luna dragged Belly along so they were standing in the lines.
Belly was in one line where all the other debutantes were, and Luna was in the other line where the escorts were. It's how it would be, how it's should have been from the very beginning.
The music started and Luna was the first to move, doing the steps that the escort would have done. She was playing the man, the guy, the other one, not the pretty princess. Belly moved next, doing a twirl as everyone else did. It looked like they belonged in a fairytale with sparkles and magic.
Luna and Belly were each other's fairytale.
The two danced like it was just themselves in the room. They both moved swiftly and fit perfectly with each other. It was meant to be — Luna and Belly, Belly and Luna.
When it came time for the dip, Luna kept her hand steady against Belly and let her lean. It was in that moment where they were looking into each other eyes, the sparkles and love only in sight for each other.
"I'm glad it was me, Bells."
❀Tears. So many tears were falling from Lunas eyes. She couldn't stop them from waterfalling as laid in bed and wished to wake up from the nightmare she had been through. She wanted her heart not to hurt anymore. She wanted to feel okay. She wanted to know that things would be okay.
Her heart felt like someone had broken it, shattered it, stepped on it and made sure no one could put it back together. Well, that is what happened.
She hadn't stopped crying and it's been hours. Her brothers have come in and laid beside her, making sure that she knew they were there. Her mother and came in and held her, so had Laurel. Everyone but Belly had shown up.
But now it was Bellys turn. She opened the door before she shut it. Belly was wearing pyjamas now, no makeup on her face and no jewelry anymore.
"Luna." Belly was so quiet as she crawled into bed beside Luna.
Luna let out a sob and rolled over, pressing her face again to Bellys chest and wrapping her arms around Bellys torso. "It hurts."
"I know, I know." Belly cried and pulled Luna into her so they were as close as they could be.
It's always been Luna and Belly; not everyone had notice or bothered to see. It has been though. And just like when they were little and Luna broken her ankle, it was them.
"I got you, Lolli."

The Pillar Forts, one of the few successful projects of the United Nations headed by the United States, stand ready to defend humanity against any invasion that may come through the strange Connection Pillars that appeared on each continent. Massive steel and stone walls that surround the Connection Pillars. They are filled with deadly men and women trained in all manner of warfare, each trained in the newly acquired System with skills and magical abilities that they put to deadly purpose. But, can they overcome the disparity in levels and experience between themselves and the forces that threaten them and the rest of humanity? But what she does know is that she rather likes the feeling that comes with manipulating magic. The week after her birthday, government workers started testing every person in the US in a massive census effort of skills and abilities. Jessica Brown found herself conscripted into the US Magical Corp, a new branch of the US Military, and shipped off to a Pillar Fort. Somewhere hot and muggy in her ancestors’ home of Africa. As she grows stronger, she finds she has some connection to the pillars. While everyone else sees beauty or danger when they look at the pillars, after connection is made all Jessica can see is a Tree. A tree the size of the entire universe. Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. When people in her small town had to deal with rioters and looters after the system announcement, she rallied them to defend themselves, earning her a trait that the government found extraordinarily useful. After a visit to a local reservation, she finds herself conscripted to lead one of the many small support towns erected around the great pillar forts. Not near her old home, but in far-flung Africa. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The US government, hell, even the United Nations, seems to have fallen into complete and utter chaos. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up?
