《Toxic || Lamelo Ball》23

I heard a weird ringing in my ear as I opened my eyes. It was blurry at first, but I managed to focus on a chair across from me. I looked around to see if I recognize my surroundings when I noticed I was in... a hospital?
"JADA" Someone yelled as I heard heavy footsteps run towards me.
I turned and saw Lamelo. I was so confused.
He basically jumped on top of me and busted out into warm tears. I patted his back gently and slowly because I didn't know what was going on.
He looked up and held my face. His eyes were blood shot red. I squinted my eyebrows to signal him to let me know what was happening.
For some reason my legs felt weak. I looked down as Lamelo got up. I lifted the blanket and saw my legs were bruised up. I turned to my right and saw chords in my arm. I looked back at him as he was trying to catch his breath to speak.
"What happened to me?" I asked weakly. My voice shook in pain.
He sat down and sighed.
"Alot"
I nodded for him to proceed.
"Well... The day you came to that party where you met ana, you didn't exactly leave."
I stared at him with a blank expression.
He continued.
"After the talk we had you went to Gelo all drunk and shit asking to go home. He called an uber and you guys 'left'" He quoted.
"Your house was 20 minuets away. You barley made it to 15. Turns out your driver... was Ashley's uncle."
My eyes widened. I think I knew where this was going.
"He knew who you both were and decided to take it Apon himself to 'handle' her situation meaning, he was going to teach ME a lesson by doing something to you."

That part threw me way off.
"Something felt off, so I followed the car when he made the wrong turn. I was going to call the cops but didn't because I wasn't so sure. He started speeding like FAST and I saw Gelo trying to get him to stop. Gelo opened your door so you could jump out, but you wouldn't budge. You thought it was a game, so you pulled him and instead HE was the one that fell out."
I felt a large lump in my throat as the back of my eyes started to burn.
"I never felt more scared in my life. I didn't stop for Gelo instead i followed the car. The driver caught on and realized it was me. He turned into a dead end and crashed into a brick wall. Whatever he had in his trunk squished you against the seat which broke both your legs. He ended up dying. The car was on fire, and I heard you screaming in pain. It broke everything inside of me. I tried to pry your door open, but it was stuck. I couldn't get you out until I broke the windows. I pulled you out but by then, it was too late."
His voice cracked and he hanged his head low.
At this point my whole body was shaking.
"I thought you died... Turns out you were in a coma. But what I didn't know was... You weren't gonna wake up anytime soon."
Those words stung. It felt like I just got stabbed in my stomach.
" I spent every day and night in this room praying you would make a noise, move, anything."
I felt hot tears run down my cheeks.
"How long?" I asked
"Almost been a whole year."

I looked down at my stomach. No baby. Was I dreaming?
"Gelo?"
He looked at me with hurt eyes.
"He couldn't bare seeing you the way you were. He stopped coming after a few days. But he's doing fine now. Figuring out ways to cope." I could tell he was still pressed about me and gelo.
"The baby??" I asked.
"Baby? what baby there was no and is no baby" he said confused.
"No, we were having a baby. Me and Gelo" I said sternly.
"NO, you weren't. It was just a dream. All of it was." I was shocked. That means me and Gelo weren't actually together for almost a year, which also means Lamelo could still be the one!!
But that's not the point. Nowhere near the point.
I just stared at him. Those eyes. I could tell he was hurting. Did he actually wait all this time for me?
"You don't know how bad I've been missing you" he said as he layed in the bed with me.
He rested his head on my chest. I grabbed my phone and saw HELLA notifications. My Instagram was flooded with dm's, and my messages were almost hitting a mil. I didn't reply to any of them I didn't want the pressure or stress, so I ended up falling asleep.
I watched as Jada drifted off to sleep quietly snoring. I hated to see her this way. It pained me in every way possible. I texted my family and told them she was awake as a docter walked in.
"Did I hear her speaking?" he asked as he wrote something down in his chart.
"Yeah, she woke up. I told her what happened I'm not sure if I wasn't supposed to..." I said as I looked up at her.
"That's fine just don't pressure her so much. Give her time to figure things out." He told me.
He also said that she needs to stay back for a while. So, she can learn how to walk correctly again. I was a little mad because I wanted her to come with me.
Gelo already said he was done with her. He knew that relationship wasn't right. He apologized to me and said for ME to tell Jada the news. I don't know how... but I'll figure something out.
My mom and dad walked in; my mother was in tears as she stroked Jada's hair.
"I've missed her" My dad said as he patted my mother's back.
My eyes were heavy from all the crying, so I ended up falling asleep. I will get her back home just wait.

8 174Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Due to a recent rating, the story may not be featured or shown anywhere on Royal Road. If you enjoy the story, please rate and favorite. It really helps to keep me motivated and ensure others get to see the story. Thank you! Elijah Arrington was never a person many gave a second thought about. He and his sister, Abigail, lived alone while his parents worked out of town. However, one day, something odd happened while he made a trip into town. Within an instant, Eli is forced into an alternate world where his survival and the survival of those around is in danger. Eli must push forward to protect those that mean everything to him, while also attempting to make it back to his own world. If he doesn't, he risks losing everything. The series will have two chapters published each week. Depending on its popularity, more chapters may be published in quicker succession.
8 162Undiminished
A cross-genre story that will start as a zombie game-lit that can evolve into a lit-rpg. It'll revolve around the main character, with very little interaction with other people until the first arc is done. I'll write, more for the synopsis later as the story continues to develop.
