《Broken (Jughead x reader)》Part 15

Jughead smiled, relieved that Archie wouldn't be a problem. He then turned around and walked around the bleachers. He was met with the sight of a red haired girl sitting on the bars of the bleachers, looking up at the sky. He knew exactly what she was doing. She was looking for the constellations and stars that she knew the names of.
"Hey." He called out to her.
~Y/N's P.O.V.~
I heard his voice and it only took me a second to look over, confirm it was really him and jump off the bleachers. I practically sprinted over to him and tackled him in a hug that rivaled the painfully tight one that Archie had given me earlier. He laughed when I collided with him and hugged me back just as tight.
"Hi." I mumbled into his shoulder.
"Hey." He said back.
This was what I was here for. Jughead. Being able to be with Jughead was why I was here. I was lost in the complicated darkness of my mind and I loved it, but I loved this so much more. I wanted to feel as if Jughead needed me, but honestly he didn't. I needed him. He made me want to come back to reality, even when it was so much worse out here. I couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not, but I wasn't asking that question right now.
"You're okay. I was fucking worried."
"I'm so sorry, Jug-"
"It's not your fault, don't be sorry."
"I know, but I made all of you so worried and I didn't even know what was happening and... it was dark. I couldn't tell where I was and I couldn't see anything. It was so dark, Juggie."
"Hey, slow down, it's okay. You're here now. You're fine."

I smiled and pulled back so that I could see his face. He was smiling back at me, giving me all the reassurance that I needed. In the next hour, Cheryl ran back into the school with the most pained look on her face. Veronica followed her. Later I saw her and Betty talking, probably about Cheryl.
I spent the pep rally with Jughead behind the bleachers, holding onto his arm the whole time. When it was over, we met up with Archie who was giving a me a knowing smile.
"What?" I asked, smiling and confused.
"Nothing." He shrugged. "So you and Jughead, huh?"
I looked over at Jughead, "You told him?" I laughed.
"He asked." Jughead defended himself.
I dropped my grip on his arm down to his hand, which made him smile at me. The three of us walked from the school to Pop's and I had little flashbacks from when we were younger and spent summers going from Pop's to Jug's treehouse to the beach and then back to our house. When we walked in, we found Betty and Veronica sitting across from each other in a booth.
"Do you guys want to join us?" Betty asked.
"Yes, but only if you're treating." Jughead said, making us all laugh.
Archie slid in next to Betty and Jughead hoped over the back of the booth to sit next Veronica. These booths were really only built for four people, so I followed Jughead, hoping over the back of the booth and sitting on his lap. Veronica looked over at me and Jughead, giving me a look as if she was silently asking if this was the guy I had told her about at the dance. I nodded.
"Veronica Lodge." She introduced herself.

"Jughead Jones. The third."
"Jughead Jones, the third." She repeated, still confused by the name.
~Jughead's Novel~
To someone on the outside, peering in, it would've looked like there were five people in that booth. But I was there, and I can tell you. Really, there were only three. A blonde girl, a raven-haired girl and the luckiest red headed boy in the universe. The other two? Well, they were in their own world, where they could be reunited after their agonizing time apart.
For one shining moment, we were just kids. Those neon lights at Pop's keeping the darkness at bay. Giving away as all nights must, to a morning of reckonings.

The Dungeon Calls for a Sage
Archimedes was the ego behind one of the most powerful dungeons ever created. He grew and developed his halls, filling them with powerful monsters and beasts, over the course of thousands of years. He was a grand structure of ten thousand floors which even heroes had failed to defeat. However, an Evil God had come from another world, calling himself the Demon King, and a party of heroes were sent to do battle with it. Through their victory, they obtained enough strength to breeze through Archimedes' dungeon like it was nothing. Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name. Just what was the meaning of this?! Archimedes couldn't figure out what the voice of the world was thinking. Somehow, he would have to draw a sage into his dungeon to figure it out for him. _______________________ DCS is now a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying end.
