《Changed》Chapter 18

"We're in," Hagakure said. All five of them had successfully gotten in and knocked the few patrolling guards unconscious all without being caught. There were a few tripwires around the doors as well as alarms, but Kaminari quickly fried them. "The guards are down. The ones that we see, at least."
"Shinsou said that the guards patrol, or walk, around the sides of the compound, I guess you could call it," Izuku informed them.
"Okay. We'll stay here." Kirishima walked back to Tokoyami and he and Kaminari were engulfed by blackness once more. Shoji put two of his Dupli-arms on the ground and simply closed his eyes.
"There is one secret exit underground under that," He used another one of his arms to point at a metal grate in the ground a few meters away. "Got that?"
"Yep," The receiving end said. "Thanks. Just stay put."
"No problem."
"Phase two, part b, phase three, and phase four; Ojiro and Sato, go guard the exit, communicate with Shoji to find where it leads to." They both nodded and ran off. "Next, Jirou and Iida plus one pro hero, you guys choose, you will stay here, preferably in someplace someone can't see you easily." The three nodded and left, scouting the place for good hiding spots. "Finally, pro heroes, David, Daisy, Jake, and Thomas. Let's go. The rest of you know when and what to do?"
"Yep."
"Yeah."
"You got it." Izuku smiled.
"Let's do this." They left, leaving the rest of Class 3-A behind.
"I'll let you two sit back and watch the show." Carlos's voice left the two teenagers alone with the screen and their thoughts.
"I hope they win," Haley muttered.
"Me, too. Me, too."
"CARLOS!" Izuku yelled. He was standing at the front of the group along with Eraserhead.
"My, my, my." A figure called out. He was standing on one of the railings on the second floor of the warehouse. "You finally figured out who I am. I'm so...glad, Zu~." He taunted. Wings reached out on either side of him and he jumped. A few heroes started to move before remembering that they were supposed to fight him and the fact that he had wings. Carlos swooped in the air, making large circles before finally gently touching down on the ground in front of them. The Americans sucked in a breath. Now, you could clearly see his face.

His straight black hair was as unruly as ever with those piercing blue eyes. He used to be made fun of because of the odd combination, but as time passed, people finally realized that it was a unique attribute. But, the five teens noticed that his eyes looked a bit hazy. They were definitely focused solely on the heroes and hero-in-training students, but they looked like there was a slight cloud over them.
"Ah, nice to see you, too." He nodded at each teen. "Daisy. David. Thomas. Jake."
"Carlos..." Thomas gritted out. His face was emotionless, but his eyes and voice betrayed him. Carlos smiled devilishly.
"Hello, dear Thomas. It's been quite some time, hasn't it?" He laughed. "Well, enough chit-chat. Let's get down to business." Recognizable faces started walking forwards behind Carlos.
"Shigaraki." Eraserhead greeted the pale blue-haired villain.
"Eraserhead." The man responded, grinning, a malicious gleam in his eyes.
"This isn't your fight," Eraserhead tried to reason and lessen the enemy. "Why are you here?" Shigaraki just laughed.
"I get so much more from this."
"Money?" Izuku asked attention turned to him. "You just get money from this?"
"Oh, not just money." Shigiraki smiled. "I, we, get more than that."
"Shigaraki," Carlos glared at him. "We should start, right?" He just grumbled and nodded.
"Let's do this."
"Let's do this." Izuku smiled, leaving with the rest of the Six Crows and the 5 Pro Heroes.
"Okay," Mina said. "Let's do our part." The remaining Class 3-A; Mina, Aoyama, Tsu, Bakugou, Koda, and Sero all snuk in through the side door.
They could all hear Izuku yelling, "CARLOS!" And a masculine voice calling out and responding.
"That must be Carlos," Mina whispered to herself.
"Hey guys," Sero greeted Kaminari, Tokoyami, Kirishima, Hagakure, and Shoji.
"Hey." They waved back. "Ready to switch?"

"Yep!" Sero popped the 'p' as loud as he could without anyone else hearing. Kaminari and Sero fist-bumped when the swapped places, and the group was off again.
"Where did Uraraka say they were being held?" Bakugou asked. Many were still surprised that he was still this quiet and compatible. He still hasn't used any of their nicknames. To be honest, they were all kind of worried. Bakugou didn't mind them, the only thing on his mind was getting his Shoto back. And maybe that damn extra, she seems chill.
"She said that they are in Room 104, second door on the left-side." Aoyama pointed.
"For once you aren't speaking in French or talking about yourself, huh?" Kaminari joked. Everyone just rolled their eyes.
"Kero, come on guys." Tsu ushered them forward. "We have to hurry!" This shut everyone up.
"Here!" Mina stood in front of the door. "Gaurd me. Koda?" Said person nodded. He opened up a jar he had been carrying, inside was a Gauromydas heroes, or the world's largest fly. All the teen, including for Koda, eyed the bug warily, he wasn't exactly fond of them, but it got the job done. The bug had what looked like a small camera and microphone attached to it, invented by Hatsume.
As Mina sprayed acid on the steel lock and waiting for it to dissolve, Koda commanded the bug to fly through the vent in the ceiling and go inside the room. Once the bug did that, Koda used the 360 degrees-rotation camera, as Hatsume put it, and looked around the room.
"G-Guys," Koda shyly said. "They're chained to the wall, opposite of the door.
"Got it," Mina said, to both Koda's statement and the fact that the lock melted completely.
"Kero, anything else?"
"Th-There's a s-screen in front of them." Koda squinted. "I-It's playing the security feed."
"Are they watching us?" Kaminari asked.
"N-No, it seems like Sh-Shhinsou and U-Uraraka did their job. Th-The only cameras that are actually p-playing the right feed is t-the main one." His eyes widened.
"What?" Bakugou demanded. He was this close.
"Th-They're f-fighting." And boy was it scary.
"Whatever, just open the damn door." Koda shook his head.
"Y-Yeah, s-sorry. There are a lot of alarms and they're also wearing q-quirk canceling h-handcuffs."
"Got it." Kaminari stretched and cracked his knuckles.
"Anything else?" Mina asked.
"N-No, not that I c-can see."
"Good, thanks Koda," Tsu ribbited.
"N-No problem." He shyly smiled. The large bug came flying back, and Koda quickly put it back in the jar.
"Hurry up, Kaminari." Bakugou urged, his fingers twitched. Kaminari merely rolled his eyes and ignored him. He charged himself up, and put his hands on the wall. The sound of electricity popping in the air was prominent.
"There!" Kaminari sighed. "Just a bit under my voltage limit."
"Can I open the fucking door now?" Bakugou fumed. There he is.
"Go for it tiger, just don't be too loud." Aoyama meowed, getting him a few weird looks.
Bakugou flung open the door. Mina was about to yell at him for being too loud, but she saw that he caught the door right before it hit the wall. The two people inside jumped at the sudden noise. Their eyes widened comically upon seeing them.
"Bakugou?!"

Ardent Tears
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge.] Youth is something to be treasured, for it is the foundation upon which all experiences are built. It is also a time when some may Awaken as Ardents or Stoics; individuals who can draw great power from the Resonance of emotions. Rowan’efrii is one such youth, but at what cost? This is the story of her journey; of love and loss, friendship and isolation, fortune and tragedy. What can a girl do when she is faced with all the wonders and horrors that the world has to offer? Live! In the Kingdom of Særis, a group of renegade lords are seeking to enslave young adolescents to forge them into Ardents and Stoics. Those that fall will be used in a war against the Azure King. Will they break Rowan, or will they turn her into the very thing that will destroy them. Ardent Tears focuses heavily on all kinds of relationships including: romantic, familial, platonic and sexual. The MC is a clear example of this, especially as she is poly. Because of this, I gave the story my own Poly Tag. This won't be anything like a Harem story and it is being written by someone who is polyamorous (me). There is also going to be several LGBT themes throughout which can't be represented through Tags. Ardent Tears is now on Top Web Fiction. If you like the story, I'd appreciate it if you give me a boost by following this link and pressing boost. Massive thanks to KrazeKode for the amazing cover art. And special thanks to MelasD and Selkie for the shout-outs.

Ogre Tyrant
Tim wakes up to find he is naked and alone in a fantasy world. However, he is not as alone as he first thought. There are other people running around all over the place fighting monsters for a living. Unfortunately for Tim, he seems to be one of those monsters. Desperate for any degree of safety and normalcy he can find, Tim must tread a fine line between freedom and subservience to survive. All while trying to keep alive a trio of adventurers hellbent on becoming legends. However, unfortunately for Tim, he is not the only one from earth to awaken in this world and the other Awakened aren't nearly so benevolent. Warning: The protagonist begins the story quite cowed and meek but progresses into a more assertive and situationally dominant personality. This is partly due to growth, but also a result of the character overcoming initial shock and longstanding depression. If you think I could have handled a segment better, by all means, point it out and provide your reasoning and suggestion. Everyone's experience of depression is different, and Tim's is a close representation of my own, so it won't necessarily 'vibe' with everyone. Chapters are around 15k words and released approx 1/week over the weekend. Has been reduced to around 7.5k to 9k to better fit my schedule.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
