《Fixing Stitches (Mike Schmidt x Reader)》A Secret Place In The Woods

Where were we going? Mike was directing me through the backstreets and passed the woods.
"hey Mike?" I ask
"Mmm yeah"
"Where are we going?"
"you'll see" he grins
Time Skip...
We arrive at the very edge of the woods and he tells me to stop the car. I did what he said and we both got out of the car.
"Follow me" he said gesturing
I follow him deep into the woods. I stay close to him so you felt a little safer as darkness fell over us both. I felt like something was watching us, it made me uncomfortable, so much that I was visibly shaking. There was a small rustle in a nearby bush and I freaked out, jumping to Mike and nearly knocking him into a tree. He laughed at me and I hid my face in my hands with embarrassment. He assured me that nothing was in the woods and we kept walking. I wasn't trusting anything right now, so I walked with my arms wrapped around Mike and he held me softly.
We walk for what seems like hours and when I finally start to get tired, we come across a little treehouse about 2 thirds of the way up a small tree. Mike looks up the tree and begins to climb with ease. I gape at his fast movements and in no time, he enters the small house in the tree. He gestures to me from the small house and I begun my ascend.
I try to climb the tree and fail miserably. I could feel my hand slipping off a thin branch and began envisioning my future in the emergency room with a branch impaling my stomach, when I feel a hand on mine. He helps me up the tree and pulls me into the little wooden house.

The little house was just as I had imagined it. It wasn't extravagant, but it was a humble build. There was bits of dark green moss scattered around the corners of the walls and sticks and leaves decorated the floor, giving it the more natural look (not that it needs it) There was a wide 'window' (cut out in the wall) on the other side of the room.
Mike took my hand in his once again and we crawled over to the 'window' together. We sat in front of it and looked out across the incredible view.
It was a long view across the woods and in the distance, I could just make out the city. I looked up and saw the stars above us. They shine so brightly in the dark moonlight and it was so beautiful.
"Come on" Mike stood as best as he could in the small space and sat on the windowsill and climbed out of it and onto the roof. I poke my head out and try to follow him. It was an awkward angle to climb on, but I just managed to grip the top and pull myself up. Mike giggles at my efforts and when I sit next to him, I give him a playful punch in the arm.
He pulls me closer and we huddle together in the cold, looking out at he stars. Mike was shaking sightly and I look up at him. He stares into m e/c eyes and I get lost in his dreamy blue eyes as he slowly leans in. I feel myself leaning in too and eventually, out lips interlocked and we were kissing.
We were actually kissing, that means it wasn't a mistake the other night. He really meant it. I was overcome with all kinds of feelings. Love, confusion, happiness, excitement and more. When we finally broke away, I look over at Mike. We were both blushing like mad. I try to say something, but no words came out. I felt so strange, I couldn't explain it.

Mike made the first move. He held both of my hands in his and kept his gaze.
"Y/n?" he said with a nervous smile
"Yeah?"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Oh god, yes"
I jump forward with excitement, passionately kissing him again. I was crying with tears of joy. We let go of each other and Mike let out a sigh.
"I-I didn't think you would say yes" He says
"Of coarse I would say yes" I giggle
He pulls me into a tight embrace and we sit on the cool roof just bathing in each others affection. I loved it. It was a dream come true.
Time skip
We arrive back at the car and I begin to drive us home. On the way home, we talked about each other a lot more. He asked about my family and I asked about his. We discussed future careers and other tings like that. When we arrived home, we shared our thoughts on what Fritz and Jeremy were doing while we were gone.
I open the door and all I could see was the glaring, flashing lights of the tv. Some anime show was on and Fritz and Jeremy were asleep. Jeremy was huddled under the blankets in his usual spot and Fritz was sprawled on the floor under a blanket. Next to them was two boxes of pizza, one was empty and another was only half empty, board games were littered around them and cards had decorated the couch and next to Fritz.
Mike and I snicker at the sight. We tried not to make too much noise and had to hold out stomaches so we didn't laugh out loud. When we had both finished our silent laughing fit, Mike woke up Fritz quietly and we said our goodbyes. I begin to clean up the mess that they had made and Mike makes us some tea (or whatever you drink) I don't get how two guys could make this much mess in only a few hours. Jeremy shuffled and groaned in his sleep and I froze when he did, not wanting to wake him up.
I finally finished cleaning the mass destruction of the living room and Mike and I went into our bedroom with our tea (or whatever you drink) and got changed into our pyjamas. We got into bed and after we had finished our drinks, I snuggled into his chest and closed my eyes.
What a great night.
