《The JereMike Collection》The Bite

Little Jeremy Fitzgerald clutched his mother's coat, following close behind as they passed through glass doors. Immediately, the smell of greasy pizza overwhelmed his senses, almost overlapping the sound of children's laughter. He buried himself deeper into the fabric.
His mother glanced down at the tiny hands latched on to her and smiled. "What's wrong, pudding? I thought you wanted to come here..." She knelt down to his level, petting the side of his face affectionately. Jeremy pouted, leaning into the comfort of her touch and staring fearfully into the crowd of children.
His mother sighed, running her finger's through his hair. "Mommy...has to run a few errands, pudding. You can stay here and play all you want..." Big, watery eyes looked up from the floor and stared deeply into her own. "I'll only be gone for a little while. I'm sure you'll make some new friends too!" She quickly added, her son zeroing in on every word.
Suddenly, a man stood before them. Realizing this, Jeremy's mother stood straight, adjusting her long coat. The man smiled warmly. "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's! Table for two?" He asked cheerfully. His words sounded so rehearsed it was almost comical.
She shook her head. "No, actually. I'm here to drop my son off for a birthday party." The man raised a brow in question before spotting Jeremy hiding unsuccessfully behind his hands. As trained so, he gave a kind smile, only for the child to shrink even closer to his mother.
The man cleared his throat awkwardly. "Name and relation?" He asked. "Fitzgerald, friends of the family" She answered, gently ushering Jeremy in front of her.
The employee pulled out what looked like a small notepad, scanning what looked like a list. "Ah, yes, the Schmidt family..." He marked a name off. "They're in the party room" He said, stuffing the notebook away. "Please follow me."
Jeremy looked on helplessly as he was led by the hand of his mother into what looked like a large dining area. Parents were seated at a single table, aimlessly chatting to one another while their children were going absolutely berserk near by. He cringed as one child took a fork and started popping all the balloons. His mother was going to leave him here? Surrounded by strangers?
They stopped. His mother thanked the employee as he sauntered off before crouching down to Jeremy's level once more. "You're going to be just fine, Jeremy" That's what she said last time at Chucky Cheese. He still had night terrors abut that skii-ball machine."I'll be back later, have some fun!" She encouraged, turning him to look towards the stage.
Jeremy gulped. On stage were animals, all singing and dancing, playing an instrument of some kind. But, that couldn't of been real. Animal's don't sing and dance, right? And they certainly wearn't that tall. He looked away from the strange sight, towards the other end of the room. Purple curtains with star shaped patterns hiding whatever was behind them. He turned to the middle of the room. White tables, scattered party hats and snotty nosed kids recklessly chasing each other. Not his kind of party.
He looked to his mother for comfort, only to find her gone.
Jeremy's whimpers went did not go unnoticed. There was a sudden looming shadow over him, and he whipped frantically with lighting speed. The shadow belonged to a very tall....duck? Whatever it was, it looked down at him with violet plastic eyes. He had to crane his neck to see up that high.

"Hi there!" It spoke. Jeremy mustered up a scream, but it came out more like a hiccup. It tilted it's head. "I-I-I-I'm Chica!" The female robotic voice clucked. It-er, Chica- held out a feathered hand. "You look like you could use some p-p-pizza!"
Jeremy's heart pounded, but before he could bolt, the animatronic gently took his hand. He was being pulled towards a group of tables, other children rushing around them. Passing by the stage, he peered up. There, a metal bear stood telling really cheesy jokes. Across the room, a purple bunny was playing tag. This was one really messed up wonderland.
His hand was freed and Chica pulled out a chair for him, gesturing for him to sit. "Y-you look hungry!" Jeremy shook his head in response, instantly regretting it afterwards. She wasn't going to be mad with him, was she?
Before Chica could respond, Jeremy quickly climbed into the chair. Just play along, play until Mom comes back...
The animatronic seemed baffled for a moment, confused on which reaction to register. Mixed results, resort to default. Without another word, the chicken turned and left in search of a food tray. Hopefully this kid liked pepperoni.
Sensing the robot was gone, Jeremy shrunk into his sweater. It's hardly even been ten minutes, but it was starting to feel like ages. The fabric was a nice reminder of his mother, and whatever she used to wash it with. It was his favorite.
A tap on his shoulder. He shyly looked up, half expecting the chicken. Instead, it was a woman with pretty blond hair. He recognized her, someone who talked to his mother often. She smiled at the young boy. "Jeremy! So glad you could make it!" She said, clapping her hands together. "Where's your mother?"
Jeremy, ignoring the small pang in his chest, gave a silent shrug. The woman's smile faulted slightly, but she recollected herself. "Well, shes missing out! Have you met anyone yet?" The boy shook his head timidly. The woman nodded, understanding. She remembered his mother saying something about him not being very social. Such a sweetheart...
Some kid screamed. The balloon popper was at it again, and he just found his new victim. The woman groaned, spotting the culprits at another table. "Just a moment, sweetie. I have to take care of this..." With that, she briskly walked away, off to lecture what he assumed were her own children.
Jeremy watched them curiously. Adults were weird.
"Hey!"
The sudden shout made his heart leap. Startled, he looked around to whom it belonged to.
Another boy, a little older than himself, confidently sauntered up to him. He eyed Jeremy, using a hand to rub his chin in a mocking form of thinking. "You look sad" He commented, seemingly satisfied with his observation. His mocking expression turned into a frown. "That's not allowed!"
Wide green eyes met with wild blue ones. Jeremy opened his mouth to reply, or whine, he wasn't sure, but cut short when a plastic hook flew into his vision. The other boy held it up, a wide grin breaking out on his face. "I said..." The hook inched closer "That's not allowed"
The light glinted off the hooked in such a way that even though Jeremy knew it was harmless, it still frightened him. The pirate grin wider, showing a row of perfectly white teeth, excluding the spot where one was missing. "What be ye name, scallywag?" He questioned, an accent suddenly taking full effect.
Jeremy hesitated. "J-J-J-Jeremy..." He stuttered softly. Maybe a bit too soft, seeing as how the older boy squinted, confused. "Germy?" He repeated.

Before he could be corrected, the older boy wrapped an arm around his smaller figure, forcefully pulling him off the seat and smothered in a hug one arm hug. The pirate dramatically raised his other arm-hook- in the air. "Aye! Welcome aboard Germy!" He declared, attracting a few of the other children's attention.
Jeremy wanted to crawl in a hole. "Today be my birthday, so you all have to what I say!" The other children cheered at the announcement. Jeremy was too busy trying to set some distance between the two to care. "L-lemme go!" He whimpered, his feeble plea drowned out by laughter.
Then in a swift motion, he was being dragged away, tiny shoes skidding against checkered tiling. "Ya have to come see Foxy! He don't like it when people are sad either, but he'll make it better!" The bully added, pulling him up to where children sat in a busy group, all surrounding the miniature stage.
He was ungracefully pushed to the front of the crowd and sat down. Just play along, Jeremy told himself, just play along. Mom will come back, she had to. He paused, his eyes watered up at the thought of his mother. Why had she left him? Didn't she love him anymore?
Choking back a sob and letting a few sniffles escape, he curled his knees up to his chest, wrapped his arms around them and slowly put his head down. "I-I wanna go home..." He squeaked, his tiny voice hardly audible among the chaos.
"Booooring!" His kidnapper hollered. Plopping down beside Jeremy, arms crossed impatiently. "I don't want to wait!" Grumbling, he glared harshly as a man slowly stepped out from behind the curtain. He raised a brow. "Your not Foxy!"
The other children hushed at the outburst, turning to stare at the stranger. He only gave a lazy grin. "No, but Foxy needs some time to get ready for his big show!" He greeted, eyes scanning the crowd of children. "You'll have to wait a little longer-" A series of disappointed moans erupted from the group to this.
"Now, now..." He continued, taking a moment to quickly glance around the restaurant. "I know something fun we can do in the meantime!" His offering caught their attention, little smiles breaking out on their faces. "Like what?" The mini-pirate questioned, not convinced.
Leaning down on one knee, the man leaned closed to the children, cupping one side of his face, as if to tell a secret. "Don't tell anyone, but Golden Freddy's having a super-duper secret party..." He whispered. The children squealed in delight, babbling among themselves. One girl stood up. "Where? When!" She beamed, jumping up in down in excitement.
The man raised a finger to his mouth. "Shhh...it's a secret" He pointed to a far off door on the opposite side of the room. "That's where the party is going to be!" He chuckled. "When you see Freddy wave, you meet him in there for a very special surprise-"
"I don't wanna!"
Any show of joy faded from the man's face as he looked down upon the rude child. "Oh,?" He questioned. "Why's that?" The birthday boy pouted, raising a hook in protest. "I wanna see Foxy!" His demand showed obviously not pleased with the current offer.
The man sighed, adjusting his purple tie. "I see" A devilish smile split his cheeks. Kneeling closer to the boy, patting his bandanna clad head. "I'm sure Foxy wants to see you too..." Trailed off, he gestured towards the curtains. "In fact, I over heard that Foxy wanted to make you his first mate" He added, snickering as the boy's eyes went wide.
"R-really!?" The pirate stammered. The employee nodded. "Yeah...what's your name?" The boy grinned. "Mike!"
The man nodded, the malicious smirk never leaving his face. "I'll be sure to tell him all about you, Mike" The younger boy looked as if he was about to explode from the anticipation. "Promise?" The employee nodded again, disappearing behind the curtains once more. "Promise, I'll tell him right now..."
Jeremy watched carefully as the birthday boy erupted into a fit of laughter. Glancing back towards the tables, he spotted the chicken from before, a plate of pizza in her grasp, wandering where he had been seated before. Hiccuping, he snuggled back into his comfort zone.
"Did ya here that, Germy? I'm going to be Captain Foxy's first mate!" Hands shook Jeremy's shoulders, causing him to look up with tearful eyes. He blinked. The strange man and other children were gone, leaving just him and the boy. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the other kids off playing in the distance.
His throat felt dry another sob threatening to burst from his mouth. Mike's face dropped, spotting a single tear that eased down the younger one's cheek. He frowned. "Hey, what did I say about being sad?" He grumbled, scooting close. "Stop being such a baby..." Jeremy wiped the wetness from his face, sniffing. "L-leave me alone..."
Mike leaned back scoffing, as if offended. "Why?" He snarked. "You don't want to be my friend or something?" He glared down at him, only for his look to soften when a tiny snivel came from the boy. "N-n-no..." Jeremy murmured, twiddling his fingers.
The pirate's smile returned. "Good, 'cause your my hostage now, got it?" He exclaimed, pulling himself to his feet. "That weird guy said Foxy's still getting ready. Let's play a game until he comes out!" Confused, Jeremy stared up at him. A tiny hand reached down and grabbed an even tinier hand, and suddenly he was moving again.
"I-I don't wanna play a game!" He protested, struggling to keep up the pace. The older boy was much faster than him, meaning every step he took Jeremy flew three feet. "Too bad!" Mike retorted. "It's my birthday!"
They ran to the nearest table, untouched by the other customer's since nearly the entire pizzeria was rented out for this meanie's birthday. Finally, they stopped and Jeremy had to catch his breath. "S-stop doing that!" He whined, although his plea went ignored. The bully pulled out a chair, gesturing for him to climb on. "Hurry up!"
The action caused Jeremy to look back towards the stage, where a certain chicken was playing. She was too busy strumming away to notice him. Jeremy shivered, turning away and missing how the chicken's gaze lingered in his direction maybe a few seconds too long.
"What are you waiting for? C'mon!" The bully tapped his hook against the table encouragingly. "Climb up!" Confusing and panic rushed through the smaller boy's veins. "W-wh-" "Because it's the plank. DUH!" Mike stuck his tongue out. "Here, I'll help ya!"
In a swift motion, Jeremy was captured. Pushed clumsily onto the table, he steadied himself. "I-I don't u-understand" He wailed, staring down the length of the table cloth. He felt the plastic hook jab him from behind. "Walk the plank, Germy!" The pirate said, sporting a devious grin to add to the villainous charade.
Jeremy froze in fear, before taking a tiny step backwards. "What are you doing!?" Another step back. He took a quick glance around him. Animatronics still on stage. Parent's chatting away, oblivious to him. A yellow bear giving some cake to children. No one around to save him. Fantastic.
The hooked was inching closer and with every step Mike took, Jeremy took one in the opposite direction. "Y-you're s-scaring me!" He whined. "Well, duh! Hostages are supposed to be scared!" The pirate said, taking three steps forward. Jeremy shook his head furiously. "I don't wanna be a hostage!" "Too late!" Mike took a leap forward, causing the table to shake and Jeremy to stumble backwards with a squeal.
"Yarr har har! Off to Davy Jones's locker with ye!" The bully continued, taking the final step forward. The shrinking distance between them was causing him to panic. Fake hook or not, the kid himself terrified him. Jeremy squeaked, feeling nothing but air underneath his foot as he moved backwards. He corrected himself at the last second. he. "Y-you're gonna push me off!"
Mike gave a toothy grin. "That's the idea"
If he hadn't of been paying attention, another step backwards would have been the end of him. Or, really, he just would have fallen down to the floor. Now, that doesn't seem like such a big deal when you think about it, but from Jeremy's point of view, it might as well had been a cliff
"Wait a minute"
Jeremy watched both in curiosity and fear and as the pirate hopped down, popped off his hook and stood at the end of the table, arms wide open. "Ok, jump!"
"W-what...?"
"I'm the shark now!"
"H-how..."
"I'm gonna catch you!"
"B-but you just-"
"C'mon! Just trust me!" Hard to do, considering you keep pointing a hook in his face every ten minutes. Jeremy swiveled around, searching for a chair to climb down on. The nearest one had been pushed away. He looked towards the other party goers. The adults we still occupied and the children were stuffing their face with food. Mike tapped his foot impatiently. "Hurry up!"
"Are you two playing nice?"
The sudden appearance of the yellow bear startled him, and he felt himself slip and fall with a yelp. For a split second, it felt as if the entirety of the world had forced all it's gravity upon him, speeding his heart rate in shock and freezing him, even after he realized he had been caught.
If by 'caught', you mean't by landing on the older kid with a solid 'oof', knocking them both to the floor.
The two boys sat still, staring up into the glassy eyes of Golden Freddy. The bear gave a chuckle. "Now, we have rules against playing on the furniture..." Jeremy was about to apologize, like his mother always had taught him to, before the body underneath him groaned in agitation. "Whateverrr...you're not my mom!" He sassed, eyeing his hook, which had been discarded on the floor two feet away.
The Golden Bear ignored him, turning to Jeremy instead. "He's not being mean to you, is he?" The bear crouched down, and Jeremy couldn't help but be reminded of his mother. Golden Freddy tilted his head. "Why don't you come with me, little one?" He offered. "I can take you away from-"
"No! Leave him alone!" Mike cried out. Jeremy looked down, he had almost forgotten he was sitting on someone. "He's not your friend, he's mine!" The birthday boy hollered. The bear went quiet, annoyed by the outburst. "Why don't we let him decide for himself, Mikey"
Mike flipped to his feet, toppling Jeremy over in the process. "It's my birthday today! Everyone has to do what I say!" He stood over Jeremy possessively, like a dog would over a chew toy. "Right, Germy?
Jeremy was more interested in the fact that this animatronic's voice didn't glitch, or even sound robotic at all, unlike the chicken he encountered before. Ignoring the obnoxious birthday brat, Golden Freddy reached out to Jeremy. "Me and the other children are going to a super-duper secret party..." He coaxed. "Wouldn't you like to join us?"
Go with the 7 foot tall yellow robot bear? Or stay here and play victim for this 'Mikey' kid. His options were not merciful.
Staring at the outstretched paw, he raised his hand to take it. Only to have it snagged away.
Getting a little fed up with his antics, Jeremy turned to angrily pout at Mike. But his look instantly softened. The pushy pirate dawned a face that looked as if he had just been betrayed."I thought you were gonna see Foxy with me..."
Jeremy blinked at the sudden change of attitude. He didn't promise anything, he didn't even agree to play with him in the first place. But he looked so hurt...
Looking back up to the bear, Jeremy shook his head politely. "N-no thank you" The animatronic's warm demeanour sudden vanished, replaced by a cold silence. "I see" He stood up, inwardly scowling at Mike. Said pirate wore the face of victory. "Told ya so!"
Sparing the children one last glance, the bear walked off, murmuring a quiet 'play nice' before moving to a table of young party goers. The two stared intently at his retreating back. Then, with no warning what-so-ever, one tackled the other to the floor.
"TICKLE SHARK!"
A yelp flew from Jeremy's mouth that somehow escalated to a fit of broken laughter. Squirming, he fought to push the older child off of him, but it was to no avail. He'd just have to suffer.
