《Maki Harukawa x female reader ❀》6

"If you do not mind, I would like to address the situation between Y/n and Maki, especially Y/n, her and Rantaro always seemed like they were keeping something hidden from the rest of us, and now he has been murdered." Kirumi says, the class trial finally started. It looks sci-fi almost.
"Well? Y/n!? Keepin' secrets is an awful habit!" Kaito shouts.
"..." Y/n hesitates, thinking of what to say. "Okay.. it's true. When I hit my head in the underground passage.. before getting bandages I snuck into Rantaro's dorm and stole this.. map thing he drew. The map was a map of the school. But, in the library it showed something behind the bookshelf, so of course I went to go investigate it, and that's when Maki caught me. So she's been watching over me this whole time, in case I'm the mastermind. That's all." She mostly tells the truth.
"How do we know you're not lying? Maybe Rantaro found out you're the mastermind and you killed him!" Kokichi says
"No. I've made sure to keep a close eye on her at all times. And not to mention during the time of the murder she was in the game room with me and many other people." Maki says
"What about nighttime? She could have easily snuck out and done.. whatever the mastermind does." Ryoma suggests
"..That's not possible either.. because.. I was watching her dorm at nighttime as well."
"What.?" Y/n looks at Maki, but Maki just looks away.
"I'm not stupid. There would be no point me making sure you aren't the mastermind if I just let you roam around at night freely."
"Ohh.. so Maki is a stalllker!" Kokichi laughs "That makes much more sense now."
Maki just gives one of her death glares to him.
"Um.. a-anyway.. we can agree Y/n isn't the mastermind or killer?" Kaede asks, and everyone seems to agree.
—
Everybody stands in shock as Kaede is brutally killed, right in front of their eyes. Kaede.? It was Kaede.. all along.?
The class trial and execution is finally over.
Everybody is silent as they leave the shrine of judgement. Y/n goes straight to her dorm without saying a word and slams the door.

She gets into bed, trying with all she can
to fall asleep. You can't be upset if you're asleep, right?
But she can't, the execution keeps replaying in her head.. over and over.
It's about 2 in the morning, a couple hours or so after the trial ended. She hasn't slept at all.
She decides to go outside for a bit to get some fresh air.
She sits down in the grass and leans against one of the trees. She just thinks to herself for a while, by a while, an hour or so.
"Of course, you're anywhere except where you're supposed to be."
Y/n turns her head to see Maki stands there next to her.
"Oh.. Hey Maki. What are you doing out so late.?"
"I heard a crashing noise from your dorm.. I went to go check but you didn't answer. So I came outside to come find you. Now what are you doing?"
"I couldn't sleep.. the stupid.. execution kept playing over and over in my head."
"..How long have you been out here?"
"An hour.. or so."
Maki just stares at her for a second. "What was the crashing sound then?"
Y/n shrugs. "You might've misheard. Maybe it was the Exisals."
"..Whatever." Maki turns around to leave.
"Wait! Can you come sit with me?" Y/n asks, patting the ground beside her.
"You don't need to pretend to want to be around me anymore. I don't need to keep an eye on you anymore."
"That doesn't matter. I do like being around you ." Y/n smiles
"..." Maki sighs and walks back over. She sits next to Y/n. "What now?"
"Nothing. Just.. look at the stars.. and.. think about stuff." Y/n chuckles.
And that's what they do. In silence for hours on end. Just thinking.
"I'm going back to my dor-" Maki begins, but stop when she notices Y/n asleep, leaning her head on her shoulder.
Maki shows the smallest hint of a smile, of course nobody sees it though.
She picks up Y/n, trying her hardest not to wake her up. She goes over to Y/n's dorm and tries to open it, it's locked of course. She puts Y/n down and looks through all her pockets trying to find the key, there's nothing. The most she finds is her Monopad and a few scraps of paper.

Maki picks up Y/n and takes her to her own dorm instead.
She puts her down on the bed and leans against the wall.
"Of all the people.. why you?" Maki says, half speaking to herself. "I want to stop lying.. but if I tell you my talent, who knows how you'll react? I figure you'd be.. disgusted. I'm the type of person you would be trying to catch, we can't help our talents.. so the only option would be to stop talking to each other."
She sighs and sits on the end of the bed. And waits.
—
She yawns and opens her eyes, she sees the dorm room.. nothing out of the ordinary.
"Finally.. you took long enough. How much sleep do you even need?"
Y/n looks towards the end of the bed, to see Maki sitting there.
"..." Y/n just stares for a moment. Then she remembers what happened. "..Didn't I fall asleep outside.?"
"I brought you back into my dorm."
"Oh.! Um.. thank you. But.. why not my own dorm?"
"It was locked, I checked your pockets and everything for the key but it wasn't in there."
Y/n reaches into her pockets and rummages around in them, she's right. They're not in there. "Crap.."
"The others are in the dining hall, you can ask them if they've seen it, come on." Maki leaves the dorm, Y/n quickly gets out of bed and follows after her.
Once she gets to the dining hall everybody is there.
"Morning Y/n.." Tsumugi yawns.
"Good morning. Oh, Shuichi.! You look nice." Y/n notices he doesn't have his hat on and smiles.
"Thank you.." Shuichi says quietly.
"I prepared a variety of breakfast meals, you may choose what you please." Kirumi says
Y/n walks closer to the table and sees all the food. It looks.. extremely good. She sees that the two seats next to Maki are empty, so she pulls one of them out and sits down.
She starts eating the food.. it's the best food she's ever eaten in her life. Very expected from the Ultimate Maid herself.
Everyone chats casually. But it's all fake. They all know what happened last night.. two of their friends were murdered. They're all thinking about it.. but no one dares to say something.
Monokuma appears, giving 'prizes' for completing the trial. It's just a bunch of junk, it's given to Shuichi to try figure out what to do with it.. you know.. because he's smart and all.
Y/n decides to look around the courtyard for her dorm key.
"Are you okay.?"
She turns her head and sees Shuichi staring at her, she's on her hands and knees looking around in the grass.
"I'm just.. looking for something. I lost my dorm key and I can't get in."
"Ohh! So that's why you were coming out of Maki's dorm this morning.. I was wondering if you guys were having sex or a sleepover.. maybe both!" Kokichi walks over and laughs.
"Not funny.." Y/n says. "We're both girls as well.. and she's my friend!"
"You might be gay though. You look like you could be gay.." Kokichi suddenly gasps exaggeratedly. "Oh my god! I just had the best idea! I'll be seeing you guys later!" He runs away after saying that.
"..What is he up to this time.." Shuichi mumbles
"I don't even want to know.. anyway, did you figure out what that that stuff was for?"
"Um.. yeah. It opened up a new floor, Kirumi's research lab, Himiko's, Ryoma's, Gonta's, Maki's, a casino, hotel and the pool."
"Oh wow.. that's quite a lot. Do you know where Maki is? I'm curious about what's in her research lab."
"I don't think you'll see.. she's not letting anyone inside. Well, she might let you in.. you know, because you're good friends."
"Hopefully. Where is she?"
"Outside her lab, guarding it. Just keep going up the stairs and you'll find it."
"Ah.. thank you." She gets up off the ground and starts walking away.
"Do you want me to ask the others to keep an eye out for your dorm key.?" He asks just before she walks away fully.
"Oh.! That'd be great, you're a hero." She chuckles. "Also, you have great hair."
He smiles a little and she goes into the school building.

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
