《Whodunnit? Murder On Mystery Mountain》20 Ice Cold Poison

Calvin, Ethan, Jaclyn, and Phillip had been waiting on the boat, where the murder had of course occurred. "I just don't get how any of us didn't see the killer make a move." Jaclyn was saying, bending over the railing of the boat. Phillip looked down at the water. It was churning and all the blood had long faded, but there was something floating in the water.
"Look!" He pointed and everyone's eyes fell on the object.
"It looks like a buoy." Ethan said. "Let's get it out." Before anyone could blink, Phillip was tearing his shirt off. Jaclyn tried not to stare. "I'll get it." He jumped off the boat and into the murky water without another second. The water hit him like a ton of ice bricks. "Fucking cold!" He screamed. The water sloshed around him like ice cubes. Phillip grabbed for the buoy but paused. It was a buoy of course, but this bouy, had a spike sticking out of the top, coated with blood.
Phillip looked back up to the guests. "It's just a buoy!" He called to them from below. It had not been a hard decision, keeping the information about the spike to himself. After all, how would it benefit him to just tell everyone his discoveries? Phillip climbed back up to the boat, shivering. "Nothing."
Calvin wasn't stupid. He had suspected Phillip to lie and now he knew the man was not to be trusted. He waited until they decided to split up to tell Jaclyn his thoughts. "What do you think he found on that buoy then?" Jaclyn lowered her voice to a whisper. "Could this mean that he's the killer?" Calvin shrugged. They continued their search of the boat.
Ethan found himself at one of the bars. He thought perhaps Sherman's drink had been spiked. The bar was small and had numerous amounts of drinks stacked on the island. What had Sherman been drinking? There was no way to know for sure but he checked the bottles that were half empty. There were only two. Which meant that one of these two drinks could have been poison.

Not wasting a moment, Ethan grabbed the first bottle of champagne and poured some of it into a nearby plant. The leaves began to fold in on themselves like acid eating away skin. "Holy shit." He breathed. Sherman had in fact been poisoned. This could be the clue he needs to solve the riddle. Ethan took a cup and poured some of the champagne into it and set it aside. He smiled to himself as he walked out of the bar.

The Third Spire
It has been decades since the Wizardly Order rose and helped the Realm to banish the monstruos Elfey from its lands by building the Five Spires. The kingdom has prospered greatly in the time since, advancing both in the magical arts and the more mundane technology. The Wizards have grown too, gaining influence and spreading throught the Realm, Wizards' Towers dotting the landscape on many regions. But as the Realm grows and starts looking beyond its borders, the Wizards are faced with one insidious enemy inside its own borders. Master Garner, a wizard in the scarcely populated far West of the Realm, feels the situation getting out of hand, and a violent purge forces him out of his beloved Tower. The wizard takes his apprentices and allies in search of uncertain safety in the Third Spire. Some sources of inspiration for this story, for variable reasons: Riyria Chronicles, The Wandering Inn, Gentleman Bastard series. Note: First dedicated attempt at writing. I'm looking for feedback, and I will appreciate if you point out any mistakes. Updates: Tuesday, and every other Thursday, as life allows it.

Redeeming the Lost (A Comforter's Tale)
Life is always fun when you never get into trouble for causing mischief. Julie is a pro at keeping her packmates on their toes with her innocent fun. It's a perk of being a Comforter and never losing her puppy-like appearance. Admittedly, there are times when her skills are needed, and she takes her job quite seriously then. She isn't a fighter, but rather, is one who cares for others' hearts. A Comforter. After all, who doesn't want to hug a puppy? ---------------------What do most werewolf books have in common? They either focus on mates or on fighting. I decided to try a more unique route. No romance will be found here - this book focuses on the ties of friendship and hope.Thank you to Christine Leonardi from DeviantArt for the cover, and to @JimenaVivancoo for polishing it into an ebook cover!
