Flashback

Giles stood in a concrete prison. The security guard had led him to a small area where visitors go. He was instructed to sit and wait, so he did. Time passed, visitors went in and out and finally, a woman in an orange jumpsuit with dark curls, strutted into the room.

Natalie Fields looked just as beautiful as the last time he had seen her, but there was something off about her, something that chilled the very bones of the butler. "Well this is a surprise." She smiled sickly. "You just came at a perfect time. The man I was trying to stab wasn't any fun." Natalie walked over to where he was sitting.

"Natalie. I do not wish to come here to see you of my own accord." He glared. "I want to tell you something." She sat down, her eyes glowing with curiosity. "Go on dear Giles." Natalie said, putting her head in her hands like a child. He ignored the pet name and proceeded to tell her the story of Jaqueline Bossart. How the old woman had cursed him when she had revealed herself to be the killer.

Natalie listened to everything and when Giles was done, she smiled. "Seems like you'll never escape Mr. Preston. Can I call you that?" She grinned. Giles gritted his teeth. "I could have sent you to the gallows you little-." He was interrupted when a guard gave him a look. "I just need to know....could there be such thing as witchcraft?"

The woman before him did not laugh this time. She looked down at the table. "How do you think I got the power to kill that many people?" She said softly. "The devil lives in me and it will live in you now until you yourself begin to kill. I know you yearn to get revenge. Do it Giles." She leaned in close, lowering her voice to a whisper. "Kill me."

There was some sort of animal hanging from the ceiling. Blood dripped down from the wall. Giles watched the dark liquid cover the wood of the cabin like a blanket. Stunned into silence, Giles could only stare at the horror before him. He knew one thing for certain. Death had found him, once again.

This just couldn't be. He wanted to faint, cry, vomit, anything but stand there like a fool. Giles had felt like such an idiot. How did he not see the signs? A remote camp in the middle of nowhere and a group of people arriving soon for a staff training. He'd been so foolish. Natalie was absolutely right about one thing, Death would always follow him.

His gaze fell on the opposite wall. A message was written into the wall and it was written in thick blood. Giles walked over to the wall and his heart fell into his stomach as he read it.

Giles picked up a nearby lamp and threw it to the ground with a smash. The pieces of the lamp went flying everywhere. He looked down at them. If he had to make a comparison to his life right now, he would say it was those broken pieces. Each one scattered and although you could fix it, the glass would never be fully repaired. "It will never end." He picked up a sharp piece. "Until I end it."
