we finish eating at about 12:45, which gives us enough time to get back to the fountain to wait for everyone. we get to the fountain after 10 minutes. george, alex, and karl are already waiting there, so niki and i make sure our paper bags are behind us, even though george and karl can't see through them.

"hi guys!" karl exclaims when he sees us four approaching.

"hi karl," i say. "you guys got your shopping done?"

"yup," alex says. "how about you? found what you were looking for?"

"that and more." i grin thinking of george's presents.

the rest of the gang arrives, and we all make our way back to the car. our car arrangement is the same, except alex calls shotgun before karl can.

"what the honk, man?" karl shouts as soon as alex screams "SHOTGUN!"

"suck it up, loser." alex climbs in the front and plugs in his aux.

"absolutely not," nick says. him and alex fight over the aux for a while, but eventually alex wins. he starts playing the icarly theme song.

"THE GOODS!" alex shouts. everyone groans while he loudly sings along to the song.

after what feels like an eternity of icarly on loop, we make it back to the airbnb. we can't get out fast enough. anything to escape alex bursting our eardrums.

as everyone is heading inside, tommy gently grabs my arm. i turn around and his face is red.

"you good?" i ask.

"wanna go upstairs and watch something?" he asks. i laugh.

"sure." i grab his arm and we make our way up to his room. we both sit slouched over on the bed. but eventually, we both end up half-laying on the bed. tommy pulls out his phone and puts it between us.

"what are we watching?" he asks.

"i don't know, you're the one who asked me if i wanted to watch something," i say.

"wanna watch wilbur's old videos and make fun of how cringe he is?"

"i would love nothing more."

tommy goes to wilbur's channel and changes the settings to "date added (oldest)." he taps the very first video entitled "TINY Minecraft 25 Block Survival Challenge (Minecraft 5x5 Challenge) [Ft. jschlatt]."

we start to watch the video and laugh at a few parts. eventually, my eyelids get heavy. i rest my head on tommy's shoulder and accidentally fall asleep. i feel tommy pull the blanket over me and pull me closer to his chest.

after a few hours, i wake up. both of tommy's arms are wrapped around me and he's sleeping with his head resting on top of mine. my head is leaning against his shoulder and my arm is wrapped around him. my face starts heating up very quickly, but i don't move.

i feel warm. i feel happy. i feel safe.

after a few minutes, i can feel tommy stirring. he wakes up and checks the clock.

"val? are you awake?" he asks softly.

"mhm," i respond.

"oh shit... uh... sorry if this was awkward for you... i didn't realize..." he trails off. i can tell he's apologizing about the position we're in.

"no no, it's okay. it was... nice."

did i really just say that?

"oh... yeah... agreed."

did HE really just say that?

we get up and head downstairs. everyone is spread out downstairs. clay, toby, alex, karl, and nick are watching a show, wilbur and niki are talking in the kitchen, while george is asleep on the couch.

wilbur looks up at the stairs as he hears us walking down.

"jesus christ, there you guys are! where have you been?" he asks.

"watching your old cringey videos," i reply deadpanned. everyone laughs.

"actually?" he asks tommy. tommy nods. wilbur sighs. "well, we were all planning on going to eat somewhere, and then coming back and exchange gifts."

"sounds fun," i say. "when are we going to eat?"

"in about two hours." i nod and go all the way down the stairs, tommy following suit. i go behind the couch and lean on it.

"what are we watching?" i ask. alex motions for me to sit next to him on the floor. i comply and sit down at the front, leaning against the couch.

"the 100," clay says.

"ooh, i love that show. i've watched the whole thing a few times."

"same," nick says. we sit and watch the episode, tommy eventually joining us. once the episode is over, wilbur announces that we have about an hour before dinner. with this, toby taps my shoulder and motions for me to follow him upstairs. i do, and he leads me to the bathroom. 

"why are we here?" i ask.

"you said you'd put eyeliner on me!" toby says, pushing my makeup bag towards me. i laugh and take out the makeup.

"right now?" i ask hesitantly.

"yeah!" i shrug, and tell him to close his eyes.

after about a minute, i realize this is going to be a lot harder than i thought.

"stop giggling!" i say. "i'm going to mess up!"

"i'm sorry- AH!" toby says, flinching. luckily, i move the eyeliner away from his eye right before he flinches.

"i swear, please just hold still," i say through a fit of laughter.

after about five minutes, the eyeliner is finally finished. i giggle and toby looks in the mirror and beams.

"look at me!" he shouts.

"such a pretty boy," i say.

"i am! i am a pretty boy now! take a picture!" i laugh and take a picture to post on twitter.

tubbo and i head downstairs and wait around with everyone for a while, talking and admiring toby's new look, until wilbur announces that it's time for dinner.

"where are we going?" karl asks. everyone stares at each other and shrugs.

"nandos?" niki suggests.

"NANDOS?" george says, now wide awake.

"nandos it is," wilbur says.
