Back in the classroom, Ethan's teacher handed him his report card for the quarter, and by the class Journalism, there was a bold, ugly C. Ethan sighed and frustratedly ran his fingers through his hair.

"I'm sorry, Ethan. I just cannot give you an A if you don't know what love is. That's what this chapter has been about. You are not reaching my expectations." Mr. Modelo gave Ethan a pat on his back and retreated back to his desk to grade papers.

He was annoyed. Ethan leaned forward and put his head on his desk, I do know what love is. It's something that has been fabricated by society in order to ignore the real problems in life. It's a mask to reality.

Love to him is as dull and dark as everything else in the world, but what Ethan doesn't know is that it's really a fiery red.
