《Secret Trio: A New Start (Old and discontinued)》Chapter 10

Danny, Randy, Jake, and Dah sat there in silence, with the teacher reading on the table. Let's rewind.
Danny and Dash got in for fighting in the cafeteria. Randy and Jake got in detention for talking back to the vice principal.
It sucks. Yeah. When the teacher isn't looking, Jake would occasionally send some paper planes to Danny, telling him to turn invisible and get them out of here. And in response, Danny would just ignore. And Randy was asleep.
On the other side of the room, there sits Dash. His hand-drawing scribbles on the table. A while ago, he found a pencil and was now scribbling random things on the table. It just has been the third day and he already got detention. He was murmuring to himself as his hand draws away. When his hand stops, Dash looked at what he scribbled and blushed. Even a tomato can't compare to him. Dash quickly erased it. He looked back if anyone saw that, and saw Jake smirking at him. Dash hid his face, hoping that it wasn't real.
It was finally 3: 30 P. M. And they were now permitted to leave. Danny woke up Randy and left after Dash. Jake and Danny were conversing while Jake looked at the walls. Then he came across a bulletin board with something that catches his eyes. "Dudes!" Jake said, dragging the two taller boys to the bulletin board. "We have to sign up!" Jake said as he pointed to a poster. Randy and Danny looked at Jake and then at each other. They scanned the poster.
Randy was a bit excited while Danny was just hesitant. "I don't think so," Danny said as he crossed his arms, "I mean, we don't have a name. And we don't have any original songs..."

"Easy!" Jake said as he wrote a band name on the poster. "Secret Trio." "And as for the song," Randy said as he pulled a paper and pen out of nowhere, "I'll handle it." "Then we just need a place to practice with instruments when we're out of school!" Jake exclaimed, a wide grin placed on his face. Randy looked at Danny, knowing that he needs to participate. Danny sighed. He just has to admit that he loves attention. "You guys can come to my house tomorrow," Danny said. "I can't. How about Saturday?" Jake asked. And if you looked closely, you could see a tiny bit of blush. "And why's that?" Danny asked, slightly moving his hip to the side as he crossed his arms, now entering sassy mode.
"I have to finish a project with Ron," he said, unconsciously rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh," Danny smirked, "a date."
"It's not a date!" Jake replied as he was attacked with the other's laughter.
The trio exited the building and then walked home.
Danny was sitting in a room, that looked like a dojo, in his phantom form. He was shirtless, scars shown everywhere. And standing in front of him was Vlad Plasmius, waiting patiently in front of him with his eyes closed, and he was currently wearing a black undershirt, revealing the scars on his arms. The room was freezing cold. But not cold enough.
Danny's eyes shot open, his eyes turning ice-cold blue. You could even see the frosts inside his eyeballs. He charged Vlad, his fist turning to what looked like an ice gauntlet.
Vlad countered the attack with a fist of his own. Vlad's fist was emitting smoke, like a fire of some kind. Danny's leg swung on his side and it landed perfectly on Vlad's cheekbone. Vlad's face was thrown, and so does his body, making his fist loose his form. But on the last millisecond, he grabbed Danny's leg and threw him on the floor, making Danny cause a small dent to where he landed.

Vlad trapped Danny in between his muscular arms, pinning him to the ground. The frost in Danny's eyes melted as he starred back to Vlad's fiery ones. His eyes then turned back to green. Vlad leaned closer and gently lifted up his chin. Vlad smirked. "Too slow," Vlad whispered as he got back up.
He basically jumped off from Danny as he let Danny sit up. He extended a hand and Danny gladly took it. "You have improved," Vlad said as he helped Danny lift himself up. Danny smiled at the compliment and waited for more corrections, "you need to straighten your back, and push more of your core out so you will be able to use more effective gauntlets."
Danny nodded as he transformed back into his human-self and put on his white undershirt. Vlad already left the room, leaving Danny alone. He phased through the door and went to his room. He changed into his casual wear and then read a few comics Vlad bought him.
At first, Danny thought that he will regret coming to Vlad, but it worked out quite well. He regrets nothing. He thought that everything is at it should be.
A soft knocked sounded on his door. "Come in," he said. A maid slightly opened the door and said, "dinner is ready Master Daniel." "Thanks, Pam. I'll be there in a second," Danny replied as he fix his comics.
The maid nodded and left. While Danny was arranging his comics, he felt the sudden urge to look under his bed. He then thought if it was a good idea. But, in horror movies 101, never look under your bed. Deciding he will die later since he doesn't want to keep Vlad waiting, he left his room and went downstairs.
Danny sat on his chair as his dinner is served. Danny cut his dinner in small peices and started to eat them. "So Danny," Vlad said, as he gazed up at him, "how was-"
Danny's mouth opened and out came blue mist. "Uh, I gotta go..." Danny said as he dropped his utensils and ran upstairs to his room. Vlad sighed and continued his dinner.

Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry.
