Randy dragged the three boys towards the rooftop to have that talk they promised. Randy sighed when he got there. "Okay, so what about that dragon?" Danny asked, "and why Jake's in here too?"
"He is the dragon..." Randy said as he starred at Jake. Jake chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck, "what are you talking about? I'm not-"
"I saw you!" Randy pointed at him and said, "don't deny it!"
Jake was speechless. "But that's great!" Randy said, his mood changing. "Dude, are you okay?" Howard asked, putting a hand on Randy's shoulder.
"Of course!" Randy smiled, "we can fulfil the prophecy!"
"Prophecy?" Danny asked as he looked at Randy, "do you have internal bleeding?"
"Don't act like a maniac, Randy," a voice said behind them.
Nomicon in his human form. Jake recognized him with the logo on his coat. "Ninja?" Jake asked. Nomicon shook his head and pointed at Randy, "he's the ninja." Then he pointed at Danny, "he's the phantom." Then he pointed at Jake, "and you are the dragon."
Howard and Danny were shocked. Randy just grinned and crossed his arms.
"Do you all know the legend?" Nomicon asked, regaining his posture. Danny and Howard shook their heads. Nomicon sighed and sat down. "Gather round, boys..."
Danny sat there, not really listening to the lesson. He still can't believe that there's going to be something that's going after them. The whole class was interrupted when something screamed. Students in the hall way are running outside, that also triggers the students in this class to run with the others.
When everyone left, the three boys then transformed.

Howard was ecstatic to see Jake in his dragon form. He looked so cool!

The three ran towards the music room and saw what could only be a music ghost. "This is my turf," Danny said as he was heading towards her.
She saw Danny and screamed at him. He was sent back at the wall. He hit a shelf full of instruments and it all landed on Danny.
The music ghost then started to play the harp, summoning green hands. The hands started to use pipes of many kind to attack the dragon and ninja.
Jake was able to melt the instruments while Randy sliced them.
"What do we need to do?" Jake asked. "We need to get close enough and suck her in with a specialized thermos," Randy explained, dodging more instruments.
"Got it!" Jake said as Randy handed him a thermos. Danny got out from the stack and tried to freeze the green hands so Jake could pass.
Jake flew past the hands and went straight to the ghost. He opened the thermos and it managed to suck the ghost in. Jake gave the thermos to Danny and smiled. "Thanks," Danny said as he received the thermos.
"You guys make a pretty great team!" Howard said, finishing the recording. "That was so awesome!" a kid said, entering the room.
"The dragon is part of their team too?!"
"Oh my stars! Sign me shirt!"
"NOTICE ME, SENPAI!"
"I call dibs on Phantom!"
"Out of my way!" Dash came in, excited to see his hero again, "Phantom! So this is where you have been?"
"Heh," Phantom got down on the ground and faced Dash, "you could say that. How's Amity Park?"
"What?! Dash knows Phantom?!"
"Since when?!"
Jake looked around and saw Nigel, grinning. I guess these things are normal for Norrisville.

The bell rang and everyone headed back to their classrooms. Danny had to push Dash out of the room. The three boys de-transformed and headed back to their next class.
Jake was going to show the boys what he found. They were going to his house.
They were exiting class, and Jake was pulled away in a corner. The boys searched for him, but can't find him.
At the back of the school, Jake's mouth was being covered by a hand. The hand let go, and Jake turned with an angry face. He wasn't surprised it was Nigel.
"What the heck do you want, Nigel?!" he yelled.
"Well, I just thought that it was bold of you to appear in you dragon-form with an audience of the whole school," Nigel answered, "what is it with you and popularity?"
"Well, there was an attack, and of course I had to step in!"
"You might blow our cover, Jake! What will happen to you if the magic community finds out?!"
"What do you care?!"
"Because you're important to me!"
Nigel stepped back, face flushed. Jake's own face flushed. What does he mean?! Is this some kind of sick joke?
"Listen, Jake..." Nigel said, trying to hide his face, "I know that you're doing your job but you can't just appear in a crowd like that."
Jake sighed and said, "if you're telling me to be careful, then I'll try." Jake turned to walk away, but Nigel put a hand on his shoulder and asked, "are you going to find the gems?"
Jake turned and was surprised he knew that legend. Nigel took his hand and put a silver ring with pearl. Jake blushed. I mean, who wouldn't?
"This will help you find those gems," Nigel said.
"Why are you helping me?" Jake asked. Nigel replied, "because I know you're the chosen one. You always are. My mother gave me that ring, so if you lose that, I'm going to banish you in limbo!"
Jake chuckled and said thanks. He turned to walk away, but he hugged Nigel and said "thanks." He then ran straight to his friends who're worried, leaving Nigel, a blushing mess. Being gay is hard XD.

[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] wooooo!! Let's do this! Just to clear up some misconceptions, this is not a parody and it is not a satire. Zu Mari does include over the top humor and exaggerations intended to amuse, but satire is a very specific thing which this is not. I certainly haven't read enough xianxia to properly satirize or parody them. It's just a silly project I'm writing for fun, with a meta story that makes me laugh. Expecting anything else will only end in disappointment.

The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets. Will Kardian be able to survive in this new savage world or will his naive outlook lead him to a dead end? Volume 1 can be bought on Amazon: Resonance High
