Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck walked to the crate.
Two soldiers of the coast guard followed him to the crate. Oobleck had come here saying he had concerns, and they were confused.
"This is the one I'm talking about," he said, pointing to the crate.
"What's your problem with it?" one of the soldiers asked.
"It shouldn't exist," Oobleck said. "This ship left Atlas with 246 containers, but arrived with 247. I'm guessing there's something I'm not supposed to find in there."
"Listen, Professor--"
"Doctor."
"Listen, Doctor, we don't wanna know what's in Mr. Torchwick's crate."
"Things are working a little differently now. Open it up."
The guard shrugged, and headed to the crate, opening it up. Oobleck peered inside, and saw a large, box-shaped object covered by a fabric with the Wayne Enterprises emblem on it.
"What is this?"
He felt a sudden pain to the back of his head as one of the men behind him knocked him unconscious.
Two bullets were shot into his back . . .

Meanwhile, the dissident angels, led by Omonrel, and their mortal allies cling to a thin hope that fate will break in their favor. All hopes for a quick end to the conflict will soon be dashed, however, to the detriment of all sides. The war for Vorlanys will take on a frightening new turn while mortals and angels alike discover previously unknown truths about their reality. ~~~ Some additional comments for readers: This is a project with a very ambitious arc encompassing a huge number of characters over a long period of time. If you are looking for a tight focus on just a handful of characters, that's not this story. It is meant to provide a broad series of perspectives on an absolutely calamitous world-shaping war. Sometimes, you just want to release your pent up anger form real life. And one of the best places to do it is in a game. Ever since its launch, World of Aingarrth allowed players to fulfill their wish. Do you want to be an asshole? Go ahead. Do you want to be a shiny white knight? You do you. Players are free to choose and define themselves in the brand new VRMMORPG. It takes the world by storm. Not only by how unique the MMORPG is, but also because there is roleplay mode. It allows people to set their own settings, either fantasy towns, schools or even graveyards. Then, choose scenarios that are going to happen, like getting married or saving a princess. They would then play as the main character, and the story adapts to their decision. Kei, a 29-year-old corner store clerk, decided to try it out. He has enough of his plain boring life, where many people treat him like trash. Each time after work, he would spend hours playing the game, even if it means he must sacrifice his sleep. He sometimes plays the roleplay mode, but he is more attracted to the MMORPG mode His passion inspires a certain guild leader, who takes him in and makes him his vice. With his help, the guild slowly builds up, until it gets to be the biggest villains guild in the server. One day, after work, Kei is about to launch the game when he fell asleep. When he opens his eyes, he is surprised to find himself laying on a pedestal in a tomb. With a girl kneeling beside him. He didn't realize he was transported to another world.
