"What exactly are you?"

"What do you mean?" I asked. It couldn't be that hard to figure out.

"You're kind of like the wolves except there are times I can see you." Alice responded, clearly puzzled.

"Werecat."

"What?" Alice asked.

"Werecat."

"Werecat? You're a werecat?" I nodded.

"I have never heard the term werecat before." Carlisle said.

"You wouldn't. We are a rare species close to extinction." I replied casually.

"Why? Why are your kind close to extinction?" He asked slowly, almost afraid it would set me off.

"Werewolves mainly. The mutts hunt us for fun or just to get rid of us."

"Why didn't you fight back?" Emmett curiously asked, earning a smack from Rose.

"By the time we knew, it was already too late. We are not like wolves, we are not pack animals. The only cat that keeps a group are the lions. They have prides. Because of that, we did not notice the disappearances." I explained.

"There must be a way to have the werecats prosper again." Alice's voice rang out.

"Even so, there is no one strong enough to control it, to set rules and maintain things. The last royal family was murdered two years ago." I responded, my voice devoid of any emotion.

"What about you?" Jazz asked.

"What about me?"

"Your cat has some characteristics of royalty." He said, surprising me.

"More than likely a fluke." I waved it off. It was in no way possible.

"Eve, you emit power when some one is in your presence. Think about the species and the size of your cat."

"I'm the only one of my kind for a reason. Its a fluke." I said again just as Jacob came bursting through the door.

"They're coming back."
