《Adopted by Dr. Schneeplestein》Ch. IV: Homeschool

As soon as you and Henrik walked inside, you set your backpack down by the couch in the living room and sat down in there, running your hand through your hair.
Moments later, you heard footsteps coming down the stairs and turned to see Bingsepticeye walking down. "Uncle Bing," you asked.
"Hello, ," Bing said, smiling. "Sorry if I startled you."
"No no, it's ok," you reassured.
"Alright, zen." Henrik walked by him to you. ","
"Yes, Daddy?"
"Vhile I'm at vork, Uncle Bing iz gonna help homeschool you on your first day, since I kept you home today because of... Vhat happened..." He sighed and rubbed his arm.
"Dad, it's ok," you got up and hugged him. "It wasn't your fault," you whispered.
He smiled and hugged you close. "Danke, ," he said, kissing your forehead.
He let go of you and grabbed his work stuff, walking over to the door. "I'll be back around six-ish. Be good for you Uncle Bing," he said.
"Ok, Daddy," you said and waved at him. "Bye!"
"Goodbye, Schatz," Henrik said with a warm smile, blowing you a kiss before shutting the door behind him. With that, your father was off to work.
You went to your room, followed by Bing, and sat down at your desk. You had a little study desk in one corner of your room where you read books and do art -- you loved making art, therefore, some of your works were hung around your room and some clipped onto the kitchen fridge. The wall above your desk had lomo card-sized pictures of you and the egos from fun memories you had from when you were younger.
You both smiled at some of the pictures before Bing started you on your schoolwork. "Alright, , let's start."

It was now 12:30 PM and you were getting hungry. "I'm gonna grab some lunch," you tell Bing. "You want me to make you anything," he asks. "No thanks, I'm just gonna make a sandwich," you reply and he nodded. "I'll look over your work then."
You walked downstairs to see uncle Seán already in the kitchen, making some coffee. He looked up to you and smiled. "Hello, ," he says with glee.
"Hi," you say back. Seán looks back down and finishes his coffee. He had just finished recording a video. Whenever he finishes a video, you sometimes would play video games with him, or any of the other egos that were currently at the house. Normally, it's Chase, Jameson, Marvin, or Seán who would be there, since Henrik is off at work and Jackie was tending to hero duties. JJ, however, doesn't play video games, since he doesn't know them too well, but he happily watches you play with the others.
"I'm just about to finish up a video," Seán says without looking up. "Maybe we can play something together when you're done with schoolwork?"
"Oh, sure," you say, sitting down at the table with a sandwich and some . "Maybe we can play Mario Maker?"
Seán scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Again?" He looked up at you. You seemed to love playing Super Mario Maker with uncle Seán. Every time one of you fails a level, you would rage and your uncle would tease you, and vice versa.
"Yes, again," you giggle, sticking your tongue at him
"Fine," he says, taking a seat by you and hugs you. You give him a warm smile and continue with your lunch.
After you finish, you rinsed off your plate and head back up to your room. "You're on, Uncle Seán," you wink at him and waves. He does the same and adds "See you then!"

You meet Bing in your room again and he gives you your schoolwork, now graded.
8/10.
You looked over it carefully, wondering about the errors you made.
"Now, it is your first day of school, so I don't blame you for the wrong answers you made," Bing reassured and led you back to your chair. "But I'll still help you figure out what you did wrong." He placed the paper on your desk and helped you with you're wrong issues.
After looking through your papers, you looked up at Bing. "Hey... Uncle Bing?"
"Yes," he responded.
"Do you know... What exactly happened to Uncle Anti and why he left," you ask, rubbing your arm.
"I can't say I remember exactly..."
"You can't, or you won't?"
Bing gives you a startled look. The way you say "won't" tells him you really want to know
"I can't..." he mumbled. That hints you that there's something he's hiding; whatever happened to Anti was something your family didn't want you knowing about. The last time you saw him, he and you thought you'd see each other again, like always. But not since that time. And your "family" knows why.
"And why can't you tell me," you asked all curiously.
", it's complicated." He wanted to tell you. He really did. But Bing, being a robot, had sworn to his brothers and your father that he'd keep it a secret.
"What's complicated!? Anti's my uncle too, which makes him family," you say. "And I'm worried about him and why the hell hasn't been here since my birthday! So, are you telling me I shouldn't worry about my family??"
"What? No, of course it's ok to worry!!"
"Then why can't you tell me??"
"BECAUSE," Bing shouted out of stress. "I. said so." He sighed. "Look, I can't tell you because I promised your dad I wouldn't say..."
"What? Daddy?? Does he know something I don't," you ask. You were shocked he knew something about this.
Bing shook his head. ", I can't tell you anymore, ok? If you wanna try finding out why, I suggest asking him." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, looking away. He had told you something he was told not to tell and he failed to keep it all a secret.
"Fine..." you say, letting out a deep sigh. You looked at your watch and it read 1:45 PM. This was when Seán was uploading a video to YouTube for the day. Which means it was about time for you to play with him.
"Oh sweet, time to play Super Mario Maker with Uncle Seán," you say excitedly, rushing past Bing to your doorway.
"," Bing called to you. You were about past your door when you stopped and turned to him.
"Yes..?"
"Can you please wait a day or two to ask your dad about this, Please?? Juts at least get in two more days of homeschool and have some fun with us before you start talking about it..?
You looked down at your feet and thought for a few seconds, then shook your head and let out a deep sigh. "Alright, fine," you say looking up at Bing and smiled. He smiles back.
"Thank you, honey. Now go have fun with Seán!"
"I'm gonna kick his butt at that game," you yell as you run for Seán's room, laughing to yourself. He chuckled to himself and pushed in your chair for you, leaving your room.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
