《Aphonic (Reincarnated into Otome Game BL)》Prologue

"Ghu, gah!" It was when the chair clanked to the floor did I recover my memories from a past life as a mute orphan boy named Umeji Hasegawa. That was the only time I wanted to live, the only time I didn't want to die.
Luck was on my side for once. I had put a knife in my pocket in case I backed out last minute. With a loud thud, I landed on the chair. Ouch. The memories of Umeji flooded into my brain and crammed themselves into every space in my brain.
~
Umeji was born an orphan, a dead veteran father who died in war and a mother who died eight months into pregnancy. He was born premature and sickly, but he was lively.
Growing up, he went from foster home to foster home, hoping one day a family would look at him and say, "we want you to be part of our family."
That day never came. As Umeji grew older, no one wanted him. So he was put into a group home. At age 10, an old man took Umeji under his wing to teach him four trades in hopes to continue the business. For a year each, the old man taught Umeji how to craft knives, glass-blowing, herbalism, and pottery. Unfortunately, the man died shortly before Umeji turned 14. Umeji had to go to a mixed group home.
The group home was kept by a horrid man. The man would rage at the boys and make them his slaves and he would do unquestionable things to the girls. The kids couldn't do anything about the man since authority didn't take them seriously. That's when Umeji took matters into his own hands.
He killed the man with his best handcrafted knife. Then he ran away to live on the streets. He suffered on the streets until he was 16. That winter, he breathed his last from malnourishment and an awful cold.

The unloved orphan murderer had reincarnated into the shunned second prince of Aplana.
Alcott had never felt the slightest touch of affection or love. No one acknowledged him and even the lowest of servants mocked him.
All because he was living proof of King Walton's ultimate scandal.
9 years ago, the princess of Fascus, the enemy country of Aplana, was kidnapped by Aplana spies sent by King Walton. King Walton planned to murder the princess, but when he saw how beautiful she was he did something unforgivable. Something unmentionable. It was there he impregnated the poor princess and held her captive until Alcott Hugh Marlowe was born.
King Walton sent the princess back, but kept her son. She begged King Walton to let her have her son, but he refused.
"Why do you want him so badly?" King Walton asked.
"Because the child is innocent! He doesn't deserve to grow up with such a despicable bastard like you!" The princess raged.
"Oh, but that only makes me want to keep him far away from you even more," King Walton smirked, "guards, go send her to the border of Efluya." Three guards forced the struggling girl into the carriage and left.
Alcott would've had a much better life if he looked like his dad. However, he looked exactly like his mother. Queen Rosetta cursed Alcott's face because every time she saw him was a slap to the face. His looks reminded her that her husband had cheated on her and pleasured himself with another woman. And there was no greater insult to a woman than a cheating husband.

The Stolen Shield
Raine just wanted some money. All he needed was enough to get his business rolling. But when he agreed to take a much-needed job from his college friend Levin, he hadn’t expected to get stabbed, shot, and chased at midnight in L.A. with a drunk girl in the back seat of his car. And he hadn’t planned on joining a strange organization based in another world, thanks to which he flies off to a private island to suffer weeks of grueling training and endure intensive foreign language study the likes of which he hasn’t experienced since high school. His friends sold the other world to him as a land of hope and second chances, a simple but beautiful place where he could put his many failings behind him and get a new start. Ignorant, trusting, and naive, he believed them. But they lied. Please note that the story has a slow start (practically all of my readers say this).

Transposed
Apparently, even heaven had the odd clerical error. Which was not something Nathaniel Miller would have expected, and yet, that seemed to be exactly what had happened to him. The collector of souls seemed to have been given the wrong address, and instead of taking one Nathaniel Miller of the earth apparently right next door, he took Nate. As recompense for this small bit of error Nate was placed in the body of the Nathaniel Miller that had supposed to have been taken in the first place, and seeing as he now had an opportunity to try to live his life a different way he planned on taking advantage of this chance. No one, however, had specified how different this world would be from his, sure they had said the tech would be a little older, and there were other small anomalies. But no one had seen fit to let him know that older meant medieval, and those small anomalies mentioned? They probably referred to all the fantasy elements and magic that seemed to be part of this world. Still, he was determined to do better this time around, after all, chances like this were next to unheard of...

The Great Erectus and Faun
The Great Erectus, otherwise known as "The Big Guy" is NOT a god. Don't call him that. It will tick him off. He and his newfound apprentice/sidekick the definitely not a creation goddess Faun have a little problem. The Big Guy's universe is blowing up. Faun might have had something to do with that. (She feels awful about it BTW) They must rush about the unraveling universe saving (or judging) worlds as the end of all things is bearing down upon them at the speed of light, so they have a bit of time but really can't mess about. Along the way they will encounter Lovecraftian horrors, divine ex-girlfriends, surly AI's and a host of other hassles. Enjoy such delights as the complete destruction of the universe, a children's "Christmas pageant" except where "the greatest story ever told" involves an eldritch horror from another universe, and an innocent misunderstanding concerning the exact definition of a "red dwarf". Existential dread! Lovecraftian comedy! It's as much madness as can be shoved into a single work and still remotely make sense! If you enjoy completely off the hook lunacy, this one is for you!
