"A Vampire? Are you crazy?" Jungwon tried to deny it, but looking at all the evidence and proof the girl had, he knew that there was no use, "A-Are you even listening to yourself right now?"

"Jungwon, I can't believe you are still trying to lie." Eunji sighed dramatically, trying not to seem too overjoyed, "After all the miserable attempts earlier? Really?"

The reason why Eunji was so confident and sure was because she had spent an enormous time watching (which she wasn't really proud of) and liking him. On top of that, she wasn't the only one who noticed all the abnormalities surrounding Jungwon. Everybody knew that something was up, but at the end of the day, it was just her who was interested in him enough to find out why and how everything hung together.

"V-Vampires..." Jungwon couldn't bring himself to say it, "They don't exist, Eunji."

That's when she reached out to take his hand in hers, "You seem pretty real to me. Am I dreaming?"

The boy on the other hand looked away, his grip around the strap of his backpack tightening greatly, as he pulled away from her.

"Eunji." He couldn't help but grit his teeth, a habit ever since he was small, "You sound a little too...happy about this."

"Mh?" Eunji hummed in response, proud of herself to have connected all the dots.

"Why aren't you scared...?"

"What?" The girl blinked in surprise, "Of course, I'm not. It's not like you run around biting people, right?"

The boy didn't answer, making her gulp.

"I mean, do you want me to?" She added, hoping to get a reaction out of him, but the only response she received was his disappointed expression, "Do you want me to be scared?"

Jungwon finally looked up, his gaze serious and almost mad, "Yes. Yes, I want you to."

"Do you want me to go scream and shout for help? I can pretend to get a heart attack."

He stared into her eyes in disbelief.

Was she serious right now? He hoped she was just joking around, "I'm serious right now."

"I am too."

"Eunji, I want you to take this seriously—"

"Are you my father or something?" The girl shook her head, "I am taking this seriously. I fully believe you."

"Then why the fuck aren't you scared?" Jungwon couldn't help but scoff, still in disbelief.

"Because you aren't scary?" Eunji sounded confused, not understanding what the boy was trying to achieve.

"You are acting like this isn't the first time somebody told you that they were a.." The boy couldn't finish his sentence without hesitating, "vampire."

"Well, you don't need to worry. You are my first." She smiled gently, "Everybody knew that you couldn't be just any ordinary human. We knew there was something going on. And now that I found out what was wrong, everything makes sense now. That's a good thing."

"No, it's not a good thing." Jungwon shook his head, "Do you even know what this means?"

Eunji didn't answer. She was busy staring at him and ended up being mesmerised by his fangs.

"Are you even listening?"

"No." She replied honestly, "Seriously, how come I've never noticed them before? They are so noticeable."

"It's because I rarely speak." Jungwon let out a sigh, glancing at her, "And if I do, I hide them."

"You can?"

"Yeah." The frown on his face started to lessen.

It was as if he finally was able to speak about himself freely without being afraid of saying too much, "I just forget to every time. So I end up saying nothing and staying quiet."

Eunji nodded, still looking at him with big, sparkling eyes, "No wonder you got that mysterious aura surrounding you."

"Don't look at me like that." He spoke after a while of silence and groaned, turning away from her.

"Do you know...Twilight?"

Upon hearing her question, he let out another groan, standing up to leave.

"Hey, wait up!"

Jungwon could hear her say behind him, but he was busy hiding his smile.

The next moment, he felt her hand on his arm, as she pulled him back again.

"Your secret is safe with me..." She spoke seriously, making him blink in surprise. Jungwon was just about to feel reassured when suddenly she added something.

"...Only if we become friends."
