A few months had gone by, the snow had come and her mother A car crash thanks to the icy road conditions and a drunk driver. Ever since it happened (Y/n) felt cold, kept her distance from her older sister and father, and became so silent at school the bullies no longer found it fun to mess with her. So in all the unhappiness it provided her something she wanted.... A hallow victory it was though...

She ate in silence, scarcely talked to her family and slowly started falling behind in class; it wouldn't be long before she'd be in an 'age appropriate' grade. Nothing was pulling her from this mood, not even all the happy Christmas decorations. She didn't care to help with the tree, she didn't want to help her sister bake goodies not did she want to eat them. She just wanted her mother back, somehow, and to see Michael again.

It was a few weeks until Christmas and out of desperation to see his child smile and be merry once more, he became willing to let her finally see Michael. Making the call to Smith's Grove Doctor Loomis sounded happy, however also trying to control his voice to not annoy the girl's father and informed him that Debra Myers had said that (Y/n) could visit, since Loomis had mention to her in the past that seeing the girl could help Michael.

As soon as the young girl heard that she would be seeing Michael she smiled for the first time in weeks. Not quite as warmly as she had before this mess, but she was smiling again. A tiny glimmer of hope had returned to her eyes. Of course her father came along, and her older sister, who was a bit afraid of how cold her sister had grown, came along as well.

Initially when the young girl walked in, smiling brightly, her father extremely nervous since Michael wasn't messing with the crayons and paper that was left out for him to play with. Michael also didn't care to look at the door towards them, he simply assumed it was Loomis. Yes Loomis was there just to escort (y/n) into the room, but not to stay, not for long.

"Michael, I have a special visitor." Loomis hoped that might get Michael to respond, but it didn't. Again Michael assumed it was just another doctor to help assess him. (Y/n) frowned and walked closer, without Loomis.

"Michael." She whined a little and Michael sat up. He slowly turned around in his seat, shocked to see her. She giggled a little and ran up too him to tackle him with a hug. He hopped out of the chair before she attacked him with affection, but of course happily returned the hug. Loomis was pleased to see Michael have a reaction to seeing you.

He planned on staying for a little while, watching you two from a slight distance. He wouldn't see much however, you kids were just a bit too smart to let anything slip. You and Michael only took the time to catch up a little, color and you quietly asked him about the black mask he was wearing. He made it himself he told you in a quiet voice. He even told her that he would like to make a mask for her for the next time she visited... If she even could visit again.

He never asked why she hadn't come sooner. He guessed that at this point it was because of your family fearing for your safety. He of course would never harm you, but he felt that was their belief... Not yours. You understood him.

You understood him in a way that Loomis wouldn't ever be able to.

Laurie hopped up to answer the door, leaving you and Tommy to carve the pumpkin. "I bet that's Annie and your gurlie-friend, Tommy." You teased the boy who whined in response.

"Stop, you're just like Laurie." he huffed, throwing pumpkin guts at you.

"Not quite, kiddo." you tried touching his face with your hand that was also covered in pumpkin guts.

"Ew, Stop! " Tommy pushed your hand away quickly.

"Tommy! Your girlfriend's here!" Laurie and Annie teased from the hallway.

"She's not my girlfriend!" Tommy protested, while Lyndsey came walking into the kitchen, with a big plastic bowl filled with popcorn.

"Hello, Lyndsey." you smiled and waved a little at her.

"Hi." She mumbled through a mouth full of food.

"Tommy, wash your hands, I'll finish this, okay?" you said, getting the more difficult clusters of seeds out of the pumpkin. He mumbled a yes and asked Lindsey to turn the water on for her. "Oh, oh! Yes!" You rolled your eyes, hearing Laurie. She really was getting warped by her friends' influence. At least Tommy and Lindsey were too young to understand, though with Laurie's friends around they might not stay innocent for long.

After finishing the pumpkin, you stopped by the living room. The two little kids were watching TV, Salt lying between them getting pet by the kids and Laurie's phone just went off.

"Hey, Lyndsey." you sat down next to the kids as Laurie got up and left the room to talk with Lynda.

"Yeah?" the young brat didn't even look at you.

"What are you dressed as?" you asked, eating some of her popcorn.

"Queen Sheba." she still didn't look at you. You mentally glared at her, finding her to be extremely disrespectful.

"Hey... (Y/n)?" Tommy spoke up, looking at you.

"Yes?" you smiled at him.

"Laurie doesn't want to answer me, but I have a question about the boogeyman." at last! Lyndsey was looking at you! Well him first then you.

"Yeah I want to know too." Boy crazy little bi-

You sighed a little. "Alright, what do you want to know?"

"Well, why does he only attack people who don't believe in him? " he tilted his head.

"Hmm... "you crossed your leg and actually gave it some genuine thought to satisfied the kids. "I don't really know, but I'd like to think it's because people who don't believe are easier for him to sneak up on." you smiled at them, pleased with your fake answer and hoped desperately that it would satisfy their curiosity. And well since they looked at each other...

"BOO!" You made them scream and jump in their seats, Salt bolted because he refused to accidently get squished by them. They started laughing while Salt moved to a chair, all by himself looking unamused. You chuckled at them "But don't worry. You both believe, don't you?" they nodded yes, like the good little kid they were, scared of bedtime stories. "Then you'll both be fine, now let's just enjoy the movie." As you said that you finely took notice of what movie was on screen; IT. Almost immediately your skin started to crawl.

"So!" Laurie suddenly reappeared. "Do we need more popcorn?"

"Yeah! " both kids piped up with smiles on their faces. So cute.

-(Temmie Skips!)-

About an hour and a half passed by and Laurie decided it was time to take Lindsey back to Annie. You were just fine and willing to stay with Tommy till she got back, you really didn't want to leave the kid alone. You had a weird feeling about tonight.

"You're sure you're fine with watching him?" Laurie asked while Lindsey got her jacket.

"Yeah, he's a pretty cool little dude." you smiled, messing with the boy's hair making him complain some more. Laurie laughed and said an 'okay'. You locked the door after the stepped outside and started calling for Salt.

"He's in here." Tommy called from the living room. You walked back into the room and there was the sneaky silver Tom, lying right next to Tommy's feet. The feline meowed at you, beckoning for attention.

"Hi, Salt." you hummed and sat down next to Tommy "So kiddo, did you have an alright time?" you asked, petting your happy cat, earning a meow and a loud purr.

"Yeah it was fun." Tommy smiled.

"Well good." You felt some satisfaction from his answer; even if you might not have done much tonight to make it better, but you still enjoyed that feeling none the less. Sitting back against the couch you saw that the current movie playing was now Frankenstein.

"I'm surprised you don't worry about movie monsters coming for you?" you carefully watched him from the corner of your eye.

"They're not real." he stated plainly.

"Some of 'em ate based off of legends, you know."

"I know... But... The ones from the movies aren't real." he shrugged and smiled at you. You smiled back and ruffled his hair for the thousandth time and once more he complained.

"Glad to know your head's not too high in the clouds." you giggled and he laughed a little.

"So... Could they be real?" he tilted his head.

"I don't know. Some of them, maybe, but..." you shrugged "I'm not worried about it. Chance are pretty slim that the mummy or Frankenstein's monster or a werewolf will just start trying to hunt is down, kiddo."

"So there's totally no way the boogeyman will come for me because I believe in him, riiiiiiiight?"

You sighed and covered your face with your palm, filled entirety with disappointment.

(Things are getting real ~ hehe~
