"Let's play rock passer scissors... if I win we kill the people in front of us. If you win we don't kill them. I'm just assuming that you're not the killing type." Olivia playfully nudged me and took out her hand. I sighed and got ready to play the game.
What's the worse that could happen? I mean, it was just a ship...
I'm kidding, that was a horrible joke.
"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"
Olivia had paper while I had scissors.
I smiled making her sigh.
"Lucky bean..." Olivia said and started to yell at the crew to turn around.
Jisu sat next to me again and smirked.
"You know she did that to mess with you..." I nodded I knew she wouldn't take the time to assassinate random people, especially if they don't have anything to offer.
"Yeah, I just hope the other ship didn't think the Black Pearl was attacking," I said hopefully. I watched as we turned to the left, leaving them behind.
I then turned to Jisu who was just staring into space again.
"Jisu..." She bonked the back of her head and looked at me surprised.
"What...?" I stared at her amused.
"Stop thinking about your girl!" I said teasingly.
Who knew I would be such fast friends with this pirate.
"I'm not!" Jisu tried to defend herself as she straightened up in her chair. "I was... thinking about, Olivia! Yup! I just... love her... hair?" She said more like a question. I tilted my head, confused at what she was trying to say.
"In short, you were thinking of your girl." She rolled her eyes but didn't deny it this time.
"Whatever, if you saw her you'd be in awe also." I shook my head at her silliness.
We've been sailing for a while, I didn't keep track of the time. But when I looked out the window rocks were surrounding the area, the moonlight reflected the ocean as we sailed quickly to... wherever we were going to.
"Whoa..." I said and stood up to get a clearer view. I heard Jisu stand up with me.
"Yeah, it's pretty scary huh. One day rock will just tumble out of nowhere."

"Oh my gosh! Don't say that!" I scolded Jisu.
Out the window we're rocks jutting out of the water, it must be leading to a cave or something. I wouldn't know.
"We're almost here..." Jisu told whispered to me and got up. "I'm probably gonna have to hold you down and stuff because you know... we're kinda not supposed to get along." She stated the obvious. I nodded and put my hands behind my back.
She grabbed them and pushed me a little.
"I think you're selling the 'we are not friends' thing too seriously," I said trying not to collapse at the pace she was setting.
"I'm sorry but I don't want Olivia to know that I befriended the prisoner..." I rolled my eyes and let her drag me to the front of the ship.
We were in a cave, it was dark and spooky feeling. I'm horrible with descriptive words.
"Yeah, this is great. Are you going to kill me now?" I asked, hoping that she would say no. Jisu shrugged her shoulders.
"Maybe, it's up to Olivia." That is me freak out a bit, Jisu saw that and chuckled a little. "I was kidding, gosh..." she trailed off.
"Alright, let's go!" Olivia barked at the crew and we started to leave.
We went deeper into the cave, making it almost impossible to see. The pirates moved quickly, already knowing the path.
"Can you slow down a bit." I panted out as Jisu pushed me a little slower.
"If we fall behind Olivia is going to yell at us," Jisu responded and continued the pace. "Anyways we are almost there..."
After a long five minutes, we saw a light.
"Finally!" I exclaimed. A few pirates stared at me as I said that. They didn't even look tired...
"Keep your voice down..." Jisu whispered and pushed me slowly. When we made it to the center I saw why it was so shiny.
There were gold and treasures everywhere, and a hole in the ceiling, showing the moonlight but that's not the point. Olivia then walked up to the highest point of the mountain of gold and looked down upon us.

"We are gathered here today to finally be free!" Olivia yelled making the rest of the pirates scream in agreement. I listened, confused at what Olivia was saying.
Olivia then stared at me in the eyes and motioned for me to join her. I slowly walked up there, my hands shaking a bit. She then grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to the chest filled with gold.
"This girl is the reason why this curse is going to break!" Olivia yelled out loud. The pirates cheered again at her oh so inspirational speech.
"Can you answer a question please...?" I asked before she was going to make the pirates scream again. Olivia chuckled and forced me to face her.
"Well... I'm waiting for your question."
"What do you mean curse?"
"So... you don't know the curse of the Black Pearl?" I shook my head no. That's why I asked the question dumb bitch but I guess. "Wanna tell is Lia?" I scrunched my eyebrows at that.
"Who's... Lia?" Jisu then stepped forward and waited. "Jisu! You have another name!" I sounded like such a dumbass right now. Everyone looked at me like I was an idiot.
"Yes... but my real name is Jisu." For some reason, her name wasn't clicking. She looked so much like a Jisu.
"So... you go by Lia but your real name is Jisu? Why not just let everyone call you Jisu instead of making a whole other name?" I could tell that she was confused, I wasn't usually this persistent in asking questions.
"What does that-"
"Enough! I'll tell her what the curse is." Olivia interrupted Lia- Jisu or whatever. "Your daddy caused us to be immortal. We can no longer feel anything, can't enjoy a meal, or feel pain. If we break this curse, we will return to being a normal human being. How you got into this mess, well... we need your blood to make us into humans again." I raised my eyebrow at that.
"Then why do some of you guys act winded if you can't feel anything?"
I knew none of them ever got winded but these were pirates. Most of them have huge egos and will start to question me. I just wanted to distract them while I searched for a way to get out of the cave without being caught.
My plan worked, causing a riot within the pirates, them slowly coming up the mountain of gold to fight me.
I was only asking a question yet that seemed to trigger something in them.
"Silence!" Olivia barked at them, making them all shut their mouths.
"What do you mean out of breath?" Yves yelled at me. She did not follow directions but she might be Olivia's favorite, who knows.
"Well, I don't know you guys-"
"That's it! We wasted enough fucking time trying to make you understand! Get over here." Olivia interrupted me. I didn't have to go that far, only a couple steps yet she made it seem like a big deal.
"My dad must be pretty important for you to handle me like this." Olivia scoffed and opened the chest. There were gold neatly stacked together.
"Count it! Let's see if they taught you how to count!" Olivia demanded me. I rolled my eyes and started to count them out loud.
"Thirty eight... thirty nine." I finished counting. The pirates looked at each other confused.
"Count again." Olivia said in a calm voice. I then counted again getting thirty nine.
"Again." Olivia growled out. I kind of didn't want to die so I counted again.
"Who has the last coin?" Olivia calmly told her crew. They all shrugged their shoulders, having no idea what she was talking about. Olivia rubbed her face aggressively and slammed her sword into the ground.
"Alright, we forgot one fucking coin. One! Let's go find it!" Olivia screamed out. When we were about to move there was a sword that landed near Olivia's head.
We all looked in the direction the sword came from.
There stood Y/n with a proud smile on her face.
"Isn't it a nice night to catch up? Best mate?" Y/n said while she tossed a piece of gold up in the air.

Casa do Diaño: The Fool
As Thomas Hobbes once said, "Humans are driven by a perpetual and restless desire for power." Given the heavily moral standards society has placed on its inhabitants for centuries, it's no wonder many people deny their internal need to be in control of something. "Oh, we do not want to rule the world at all! We just want to live happy and die happy!" Of course, the irony there is that, by wanting a happy future, you are actually projecting your own desires and opinions into what the world should be like. Hence your inner monarch banging his/her scepter for all their subjects to hear. Though to be fair, this is a pretty small, small example. Why settle for small? Why not go the extra mile and become that vicious monarch pounding his scepter at his feet? This is the story of a young man by the name of Genghis Dillinger Boy. There are quite a few words that can describe Genghis. Anarchist. Libertine. Criminal. Psychopath. He has denied the moral standards society has set for him and constantly lives his life seeking more and more power. Once an unexpected turn occurs in his life, he uses it as an excuse to burn his bridges and move him and his bride to a mysterious island known as Casa do Diaño. Genghis vows to burn the old world to the ground and watch as his brand new world arises from the ashes. But what if he's biting off more than he can chew? After all, monsters like Genghis are not the only kind of monsters lurking in the House of the Devil...

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.
