"What kind of game do you like to play, Yerin-ah?" Taehyun asked Yerin. He's carrying Yerin while I'm walking behind their backs.
I looked like I was watching a brother and little sister bonding. And here I am, looking like a maid who was following and watching them. .-.
"Unnie!" I snapped when I heard Yerin call me.
I smiled at her, "Ne?"
"What game do you like to play?" She asked.
"There are so many, but I can't remember them all," I said, smiling at her.
"She can't remember things. That's why she got 4/10 in our quiz, baby," Taehyun said, chuckling. I glared at him, but he just smirked at me.
That man!
"Unnie, is that true?" Yerin asked, so I shyly nodded my head at her.
"It's okay! Me too! When Taehyun-oppa gave us a quiz, I got 3/20 on our spelling. Am I right, oppa?" Yerin said, smiling at Taehyun. He nodded his head while brushing his fingers through Yerin's hair.
"Then, I cried after that because Taehyun-oppa told me that I was stupid for not remembering the answers," she said, pouting.
"Wow. You're bullying even the kids? How nice of you," I said in a sarcastic way and rolled my eyes.
He's really bad.
"But he said, that's the way he cheers others," Yerin said, and that made me look at Taehyun, but he just looked away.
"Really?" I asked, still looking at Taehyun.
"Yes, unnie. That's why I kept on listening to him when it was our class time. Would you like to come into our classroom? Taehyun oppa is our adviser!" Yerin said. So he used to teach kids?
"No. Your Chaeryeong unnie may be busy, so she can't come-" I cut Taehyun's statement.
"No! I can come. What time?" I asked, smiling at Yerin. I can see that Taehyun is now looking at me in disbelief. I know that he doesn't want me to be here, but my friends, including his friends, are on my side, so he can't bully me.
"Are you sure?" Taehyun asked. I smiled at him while I nodded my head.
"Why?" I asked. He just scoffed, and he walked away with Yerin.
-------
"Eat well!" I said cheerfully to the children who had come to us for food. Yes, we are serving them.
"I thought Taehyun told you that you were not allowed to go here," Aisha said in a low voice. I looked at her and I saw her smiling at the kids while giving them food.

I just focused on what I needed to do while smiling, too.
"You know, TXTZY loves me that much. That's why," I said as I shrugged my shoulders. I could already feel that she was glaring at me, so I smiled widely.
What did I do wrong to her?
"Except Taehyun," she said, as I heard her chuckle.
I lowered my head a bit, I know.
"Yes, except for him," I said, smiling at her.
"Aisha unnie!" I looked at Yerin, who was running towards Aisha. She gave her a big smile and carried her.
"Let's go there!" Yerin said while pointing outside.
"Annyeong, Unnie!" Yerin greeted me. I smiled at her,
"Hello," I said with a smile.
"Aisha, go there with Yerin. I'm going to take care of your part here," Beomgyu said, out of nowhere. Aisha looked at him in annoyance and stomped her feet while walking away.
It seems like he doesn't want to leave, but Beomgyu made her leave, HAHAHA!
"That Yerin kid loves Taehyun and Aisha so much. They used to be the kids' teachers since they were in high school," Beomgyu whispered at me.
Oh, that's why the kids were so close to them.
"I didn't expect that," I said, chuckling.
Beomgyu laughed, "Taehyun is a really arrogant and cold-hearted guy, and we really hate that, but the thing is, we love Taehyun when he's being so soft to the kids. He's frail when it comes to kids. Try to observe him sometimes. He smiles often when he's with the kids, "
I looked at him in shock and I saw him smiling while serving another meal to the kid. He noticed me, so he just chuckled, and that made me laugh.
He's cute! >.<
"It's real! That's a fact, though!" He said as he scooped another rice and gave it to the kid.
"You look good!" The kid said, pointing at both of us. Beomgyu walked closer to me, he was almost leaning on my shoulders, so I looked at him in confusion.
"Really?" Beomgyu asked the kid, and he just nodded at us.
"Yes!" The kid said.
"Thank you, come here! Let me pinch your cheeks!" Beomgyu said this as he was about to approach him, but the child bolted.
I looked at Beomgyu and suddenly, both of us laughed out loud, but we immediately stopped when we heard a crying noise.
We all looked at the kid who just ran away. The plate was broken into pieces, so he got a bruise. I quickly ran towards him and helped him stand up.

He smiled at me, "Noona, I'm strong,"
"But it hurts. Come on, I'll help you with that bruise. It's okay," I said, but he cried.
"Noona, it hurts!" He whined.
"Come to me, let's go to the lobby, okay?" I said as I smiled at him and wiped his tears away. He nodded his head, so I held his hands and walked to the lobby.
I told Taehyun that I'm not going to be a nuisance, but look what just happened. I feel like I already broke my promise to him.
"Look what you have done. That's not the way, here,"
We stopped as we heard Taehyun's voice, we quickly shifted our way to the other side. Now we're following him.
"Noona, it really hurts," the kid said.
"I thought you are strong, Heechan?" Taehyun asked when he stopped just to face him.
"Noona, he's going to scold me again." that Heechan said as he hid behind my back.
"Of course, I will. You're a big boy now. Come here." Taehyun said as he tried to catch him at my right side where Heechan is there, but Heechan walked to the other side and even Taehyun, too.
"Yah! Stop it, okay?" I said as I held Heechan hands, but he stabbed it away and hid behind my back again.
"Why are you hiding? Come here," Taehyun said. I can't help, but to laughed because of them.
"Noona.." Heechan whined, still tugging on my shirt.
"Why? Do you want me to scold him, too?" I asked Heechan. It seems like he wants it because he smiled widely at me, so I looked at Taehyun, who was currently looking at me too.
"Why? Are you going to hit me?" He said, lowering his voice, but it looks like he's threatening me.
"Just once?" I said as I cheekily smiled at him. He widened his eyes, so I looked at Heechan.
"Okay! I'll do it. Where do you want me to hit your hyung?" I asked.
"Can you mess with his hair? Girls always do that to us boys," he said. I chuckled at him, and I looked at Taehyun, who was taken aback.
"No. Not my hair, Chaeryeong." He said as he put his hands up, giving me a sign that he had surrendered. I laughed at his actions.
"You can't do this to me!" He shouted at me, but I held both of his hands and playfully pulled his hair.
"Act," I command.
"Oh, no! Ouch! Stop it! Okay! Okay! I'll be good to him!" He yelled, so I removed my hands from him and held Heechan's hand.
"Are you okay now?" I asked, and he nodded at me. We looked at Taehyun, who was sulking while glaring at me.
I smiled at him as we started to walk away and went to the lobby. I told him to sit on the chair, so he did. What a good boy.
I began my routine of administering first aid to Heechan. I put a band aid on it and Taehyun came to us.
"Noona, what's your name?" Heechan asked.
"Lee Chaeryeong," I said.
"And that guy?" He asked again.
I frowned, "That guy? Who?"
"Your boyfriend!" He said. I widened my eyes.
WHAT?! BOYFRIEND?!
"You got a boyfriend, huh? Study first!" Taehyun yelled at me while putting the yogurt next to me and to Heechan. Did he just gave me a yogurt? Wow, he's really nice when there's a kid, huh?
"The one who gave you the rice?" I asked, and Heechan quickly nodded his head.
"He's Beomgyu. He's not my boyfriend, okay? He's just a friend," I said, chuckling. He pouted his lips.
"I thought that you were together. You both looked good," he said, lowering his head.
"Really?" I asked.
He nodded at me, "You're pretty and at the same time, you are cute. Am I right, hyung?"
"No," Taehyun immediately said, so I rolled my eyes again.
"She's not cute nor pretty. Do you need eyeglasses?" He asked the kid. Heechan looked at him in confusion.
"Don't mind him. He's pestering us. Go ahead and ask me some questions." I said as I turned his face to mine. He smiled at me,
"Yes!" He cheerfully said, so I smiled at him.
"You must adore children," he said, but I ignored him.
Yes, I do. And thank you for not kicking me out of the van earlier before we arrived.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
