'Buck?' You say sleepily but confused as you walk down the stairs rubbing your eyes.
'Hey!' Bucky walks over to you, pulling you into a tight hug
You laugh and push him off 'What's going on? Where's Steve?'
'Oh! Steve?'
'Yes. Steve, you know, the man who's house this is? Your bestfriend' You frown.
Bucky was always smooth with lying and getting out of messy situations, but for some reason his mind went completely blank.
'He uh. He went to get milk'
'Milk? Seriously Buck?' You tut, before walking over to the fridge and getting out a full pint of it. 'Bucky, tell me what's going on'
'I can't' Bucky gasps out.
'Bucky!' You shout. More annoyed now. 'Where is Steve?! What aren't you telling me! Where did he?'
'Hey!' Steve bursts through the door flustered 'Is everything okay?' He asks. Looking between both you and Bucky. Bucky looked like a dear in headlights. You looks relived but concerned.
'Steve!' You exclaim in one big breath. Walking over to him and wrapping your arms around his neck. Pulling him into a warm embrace. 'Where did you go?'
Bucky mouths a 'sorry' at Steve and Steve sighs before pulling you away.
'I Uh, I had to do something important' Steve takes your hand and kisses it 'Trust me Daisy'
You nod and gulp, the panic residing now you know Steve is safe 'Always'
You turn back to Bucky and walk over to himX poking him in the chest 'You're an awful liar James Barnes'
Bucky smiles before pulling out the old wooden monopoly set from behind him.
'Ready to get your ass beat?' Bucky teases.
You smirk and take the game form his hands. Racing to the table to set it up 'You are SO on!'

A couple hours pass and you can't help but sigh.
'Buck, admit defeat so I can make some dinner! I've clearly beat you!'
'No. I will not let you win again!' Bucky whines.
'Buck, you're bankrupt!' Steve chips in.
The three of you burst into laughter and Bucky groans in frustration 'How do you keep winning Daisy?!'
'My dad taught me how to play when I was younger' You smile sadly. Rethinking the memories. 'He use to pretend my $10 bills were $100 so I could win'
Steve kisses your forehead as a tear fills off your cheek.
'Daisy I...'
'No Buck it's fine, happy memories. Happy tears. Promise' You stand up and walk to the kitchen, 'Meatloaf good for dinner?' You call out to the boys.
'Sounds great' Steve agrees.
'Good with me!' Bucky calls out.
As you get to work distracted in the kitchen, Steve and Bucky put the game away and Bucky nudges Steve 'So...did you get the ring'
Steve beams, before pulling out the small box in his pocket, hunching over so Daisy can't see and opening the box to reveal the ring. Bucky's jaw hits the floor 'Steve!' He gasps excitedly.
'Guys? Everything okay?' Daisy calls out.
'Y-yeah!' Steve shouts back before quickly shoving the nod back into his pocket.
He slaps Bucky across the arm and scowls 'What the hell is going on with you man!'
'I don't know!' Bucky admits stressed. 'I'm just so excited for the both of you!'
Steve smiles I relied before Bucky pats him on the shoulder.
'I'm so proud of you man, when are you going to give it to her?'
Steve shakes his head conflicted 'I don't know, I want the moment to be real, I don't want anything over the top, but it certainly needs to be a MOMENT, you know?'

'Not really' Bucky admits defeatedly 'You know I've never exactly had any sort of relationship. Just hookups' Bucky shrugs.
'There's someone for everyone Buck, I know there is'
Bucky rolls his eyes and laughs. 'You're so Cliché!'
Daisy comes over to the dinner table and places the meatloaf in front of the boys
'What you guys talking about?'
'How cliché Steve is!' Bucky blurts out. Making Steve go red.
'Huh! Captain Cliché' You tease. Before leaning in and gently kissing him on the lips.
Steve laughs and Bucky frowns 'Oh SURE! Daisy can call you that but I can't!'
The three of you burst into laughter before tucking into your food.

Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).
